I had the mixed grill, which was cooked perfectly, and my wife had the Gammon which she thoroughly enjoyed. The chips that came with both are cooked just like regular chip shop chips, which is a major plus from us. The price is comparable with similar restaurants and I felt the portions were good value for the money.

This has got to be one of the oldest pubs in South Wales, it's medieval and dates from 1380. Bwyty Mawddach is (I think) a beautifully converted barn, full of oak and slate and that breathtaking vista. It's run by Ifan and Amelie, with much of the lamb served in the restaurant farmed on the surrounding land by Ifan's brother. Downstairs is a lounge area, with the main seating area upstairs. I've always been in a big group every time I've been here and can attest that it's a great venue for friends and families. The food is largely local and seasonal. It's reasonably priced and there's a good selection. I've never had any complaints about the service.

We feel incredible lucky to live so close to such a fantastic place…read more Recently opened after selling veg from a barn, the Cwmcerrig Farm Shop and Grill is Wales' only Farm Shop of its kind. The fruit and vegetables are always beautiful and fresh, the meats are produced there on site and are delicious and nicely priced. The speciality sausages are lovely and there is stacks of other produce too, all local. Things like bread, cheese, eggs, icecream, cakes, preserves and much more. Not only is it a farm shop but also the best carvery in the area. The carvery is also a cafe and they do breakfasts and light lunches as well as hot food on non-carvery days. Get there early though (half eleven) if planning a carvery as the queues are huge!
