I called to have it fixed which was accommodated, however, taking the time to once again head over when it should of been done correctly the first time was not ok and we truly didnt have time to do that. The lady in the front was extremely rude once we arrived and the entire do was pretty much redone in 40min.. We were late to our event and it really ruined our night. I cannot understand how we're paying for a professional to do these hair styles are told it's possible and are let down time and time again by the lack of professionalism and execution every single time. This is the second time we have tried to get a formal up-do at this location and it was been a mess, the first time was my daughters quince last year..

I've had my hair done here 3 times by Gemma, and it pains me to say I will not be going back. The…read more1st cut was great. I wanted short layers and a decent thinning out. 2nd time I got my hair colored. The 3rd time I wanted more of a shaggy cut. My specific instructions were trim up the bangs and layers to give it a shaggy look like Sophie Thatcher and DO NOT cut the length. Not only did I go home with hair at least 5 inches shorter but there are gaping holes in the cut. I texted her about. She said she did not cut the length at all and blamed it on the shrinkage. I'm a hair stylist myself and know what curl shrinkage is. In this photo posted below, my hair is straightened so there is little to no shrinkage at all. The length difference is very evident. Yes, she offered to trim it up. However, that would only mean going even shorter, and I simply cannot trust her anymore. If there is one thing I hate about this most of all, it's her not owning her mistake. Not only that, my hair grows very slowly. This will take YEARS for me to recover from.

My Pinterest board is filled with Joan Jett, shag, and 80's rocker looks. I really believe this was a "wild card" experience. My favorite coffee shop is directly next door to The ASTUTIA SALON.
