The only time you call a plumber is when you need one *right now*, right? So I would say if you need one right now, call these guys because they are good about appointments and they are super-professional and good at what they do. But after you have called them and are waiting for them to arrive take a minute to read the rest of this review so you can be prepared for them when they come. Because as good as they might be at what they do, this is a hard-sell operation and the prices are unbelievably high. PP is counting on you to be a bougie homeowner who doesn't have time/inclination to deal with plumbing--you just want it fixed, you want technicians who don't seem shady, you assume that this will be your one-time plumbing outlay for the next year or two, and you are willing to pay for it and make it all go away. I am that guy, and they pegged me right away, complementing me on my beautiful house almost before I'd even opened the door. I had a kitchen sink leak. I figured it would cost $500-$1000 to deal with what I needed dealt with, and that felt steep enough. Immediately after identifying the problem, the technicians, who are VERY NICE AND VERY GOOD, were moving through my house with practiced efficiency, examining other potential leak sources (I did not ask them to do this) and telling me that I should probably replace this and that. I believe them; these things do need to be taken care of and it's better to take care of them in advance. But I began feeling like I was being "handled." So after telling me what *should* be done as well as what must be done, they retire to their truck to "figure out some options." When they do this to you, it is the time to steel yourself, and to repeat to yourself "it's my money and they can't have it if I don't want them to." Really, say it like 5 times. I should have. Because they came back in with an iPad (very professional!) laying out the "various options," ranging from $3000 (all the stuff they wanted to do for me) to $2000 (just fixing the leak and replacing the faucet). $2000 at a minimum! It takes the breath away. I should have told them to GET OUT at that point, but of course I did not. Because what happens if I do and they do? Then I have to call some other plumber who maybe is slightly shadier and can't do the appointment today and I have to explain to my wife why I called two plumbers and I have to pay these guys their diagnostic fee anyway and the other plumber is probably going to be not *that* much less expensive, right, and anyway it's just money and, god help me, I have the money and I don't want to be that guy who begrudges the trades their legitimate earnings when I am one of those overpaid white-collar guys who, by the way, is able to be home all day to receive plumbers. Plumbing is psychodrama. We know this to be true. I out-psyched myself, though. I should have at least said "Wait, is this faucet $600? Because if it is, I want the $300 one." Or I should have said "How much of this fee is for labour?" Or anything reasonable like that. And that is my advice to you: ASK REASONABLE QUESTIONS. Ask to see the labour & materials costs. Ask how much the blanking faucet costs. What I did was allow myself to be steamrolled by their very smooth sales tactics and my own anxiety about class privilege and ended up getting a $2500 "deal" that included them selling me on their "membership" plan (described as "no cost to me" but actually a cost of $99, it just then allows them to give you a 10% "discount" on the work) so they can try to come back into my house once a year to make me spend more money on preventive maintenance. Bottom line: in the end, these guys did really good, super clean (and I can't underemphasize how nice it is to have tradesmen who leave your house looking like they were never there) work. They came to my house three times and spent a total of probably 8 hours there. I estimate the cost of their materials at $500, which means I paid them about $250/hr (maybe a little less if you figure travel time) to do their work. When you think about it that way, it actually doesn't sound unreasonable, though it is High End. I wish they had a less high-pressure, hard-sale approach and that they itemized their charges in detail so that I was not left with such a bad taste in my mouth, which this review is an attempt to get rid of. As a final word, I would just say that I don't think this plumbing company in and of itself is really predatory, as some seem to think. They are just fully part of that Toronto upper middle class culture where you expect/know that they only way you'll get something very nice, and a very high level of customer service is to pay through the nose for it. Still, there are definitely some ways to get through the experience without feeling like you've been fleeced. We had a couple of plumbing issues and were about to start a pretty major renovation. Kostis P. and Kyle came out to our house to take a look - they did a thorough inspection of the plumbing, addressed the problems we had and gave me a break down of each job and what it would cost, as well as some suggestions on future work we might need done. They provided us with a number of options and explained what each would entail, and the cost, and then asked us to think about what we wanted to do - I never felt pressured into any of the work they suggested, and found them to be personable and relatable, and most importantly, they never talked to me like I was a "girl" ... which I find to be a problem at times, with some trades. We agreed on the work to be done, and they got started. As our home is 100 years old, whenever you start a job, it becomes a "can of worms" situation. Kostis and Kyle discovered that our main connection to the city was lead, and suggested we have it replaced. My husband and I discussed and agreed that this was the best option, and within a couple hours, the crew arrived to assess the situation and begin work, which was completed in about 24 hours. When they left, my lawn looked like it had NEVER been touched, though a 6 foot square about 6 feet deep had been dug only hours earlier. Once all of the piping had been replaced, Kostis returned to complete his portion of the work. I found him as lovely and engaging as our first meeting, and his work was efficient, quick and neat. I would never hesitate to call Priority for any other issues, or to have our plumbing inspected whenever we undertake a new renovation. Great service, respectful employees and a job well done! This is certainly not the cheapest plumbing service around, but, with Priority, you really get what you pay for. read more

Right from my initial telephone call until the completion of the drain replacement at our home, my wife and I were very pleased with the professionalism, courtesy, knowledge and understanding exhibited by all Priority Plumbing personnel that we dealt with. The telephone receptionist gave high priority to our call and let us know when the technician was on his way. The wait time was very short. We found Brian, who made the initial visit and made all the necessary arrangements required to do the job, to be very personable, courteous, knowledgeable and genuinely concerned with resolving our problem. He offered several options and any clarification insofar as what each one would entail. He kept in contact with his crew to resolve any issues. We would consider Brian to be a major asset to your company and we thank him very much for his efforts in ensuring that we were well looked after. Adrian and Carlos, who did the actual work, ensured that everything was completed with little disruption to our daily routine and any mess was kept to a bare minimum. They ensured that they cleaned up as they went along. Andrew's efforts, reinstalling the toilet and ensuring that everything was in proper working order, were also appreciated. Earlier this year we had some plumbing work at our place of business that needed to be done and we called Priority Plumbing. At the time, I was unhappy with the price and quality of the work and I complained here and to management there. We could not resolve the disagreement at that time. More recently the owner Austin took time to write me and ask if I was open to getting things resolved. Coincidentally, I was having another problem, this time in my home. I invited Austin to come out and make the repair, but without charge. He was quick to accept the opportunity to change my perception of his company and he helped set up an appointment. One of his team arrived at my door. He was polite, professional and took time to fix the issue and test that it was working properly. While he was there, I asked him about another issue and he was glad to look into it. 10 out of 10 on his work and professionalism. Austin then asked if he could send another of his team out to inspect the work done at our business and make any repairs necessary. I agreed and another very professional and competent plumber visited us that same day and made a repair to the work that was previously done. Called our reliable Priotiy Plumbing (not our first Rodeo with them..but our 3rd or 4th) to replace my old kitchen faucet with a new one. The telephone booking was seamless & we were given several dates & times to choose from. The date arrived & we were told our plumbing technician was Cole and we received 2 phone calls from the office, first confirming that we were the next client to be serviced and a second 1/2 hour later solidifying a more specific time for his arrival...Cole arrived on time. (Also received an email with Cole's pic so We knew who to expect at the door ) This was a major plus for us seniors and awarded us a sense of comfort & safety. Cole was amazing from start to finish. He assessed the work gave us a price & got right to work with the installation of the new faucet. He also cleaned out our Ptrap which contained 6 small Butter knives (don't even ask How they got there...but the mystery of the missing butter knives is now solved by Priority Plumbing's #1 Drain Detective Cole.....haha.... Cole was prompt, polite, efficient & respectful...even wore the little plastic booties .. nice touch because it rained the day of our service call...Thank You Cole Kudos on your workmanship & Thank You once again Priority Plumbing for coming to our rescue. read more

My plumber, a gentleman named "Adam," was a joy to have in my home. He had been called because of a "leak" that kept getting our bathroom floor wet; I feared big problem, but he pointed out how water was coming out from under shower door. He fixed it (cleaning it first!) with careful silicone applications. Then, doing just a routine inspection, he found a Big Problem with my kitchen sink. I had innocently asked why I was always wiping up water around the faucet,and he showed me cracks above and some serious corrosion in the pipes beneath. A flood just waiting to happen! So he spent the next several hours installing a new faucet, cleaning up l00%, making sure everything was just right. Plus, in addition, he turned my Outside water off for me (this is a big job for me, since I live alone, and always had to keep running upstairs and outside to turn things off), AND rolled up my hose and put it in garage.....these are hard jobs for an older woman living alone and I greatly appreciated him doing them. I can't say enough good things about this man, and the same goes for Priority Plumbing. I should also mention the prompt courteous service I received on the phone. Greg from Priority Plumbing was terrific. He came to my house when I had a sewer backup that caused quite a mess to my basement with extensive water damage. It was later in the afternoon when it happened, during an extensive rainfall, so I wasn't sure that I could find anyone on such short notice. Usually I rely on referrals from friends so I was really lost. Luckily I found Priority Plumbing online. Upon arriving Greg greeted me with a smile and got right to it. He immediately got to work locating the blockage, and explaining my options to me. Luckily he was able to temporarily clear the blockage while we organized a much larger repair. I was so impressed by Greg that I chose not to shop around. Priority Plumbing has since replaced the broken pipe and I must say that their crew was also very considerate of our home, placing drop cloths down and tarping off the remainder of the finished basement. I am very happy with Priority Plumbing and will highly reccommend them without hesitation to all of my family and friends should they ever need an honest and professional plumbing company. read more

I had Kostis do some work on my plumbing last Nov. A short recap to say that they were amazing back then. Yesterday I noticed my Hot Water Tank was leaking from a pipe that was replaced back in Nov. I called Priority plumbing to report the leak. Kostis was at my door the next day. He again was very professional and fixed my leak with no questions asked. Other than how I was ect... I truly believe he is a great person with a kind disposition and just the way he deals with me as a customer is superb. He goes out of his way to make you feel like you are his "Priority". Kudos to Kostis for another job well done. On another note Dealing with Felicity is always pleasant she too is polite and kept me informed as to Kostis arrival time. Aaron arrived and was charming and really knowledgeable. He tried at first to see if the problem could be fixed more easily and when it became apparent that it couldn't he explained at length what needed to be done. He was correct. AND he took the old hardware away to dissect it and figure out the problem. Nice work Aaron. What I would have done. I am a trades person (just have a lot going on right now so thought I'd call out) The quote he gave me felt a bit high (IMO) HOWEVER all was inclusive (Tax etc) and when he ran into a snag he didn't say the price would be higher and it wasn't. So absolutely standard price (naggy more or less) for the service. (Get nervous about anything over 500.00 for SIMPLE installation) Great company policy. Aaron was fantastic. Ask for Aaron if you live in central TO. You will not be disappointed. The company policy, practice and business is absolutely solid. Will probably always use them again when I can't do it myself. This is the second time we've used Priority Plumbing to clear a clog in our kitchen sink as our first experience with Trevor was so great we decided to call them again. This time, we were serviced by Kyle, who was just as courteous, professional, and thorough. My appointment window was 11 - 2 and Kyle showed up before 11:30 so we didn't have to wait around all day wondering when he would arrive. He made sure to wear those little booties to keep our place clean, and even mentioned that he knew this was our home, not a construction site, so he would be sure to clean up afterwards. Kyle explained all our options to us before he got to work and didn't pressure us to go with the more expensive option. He used the 50 foot snake and had no problem clearing the clog. Overall amazing service from Kyle and we have no complaints. While I hope to not have any more issues with my kitchen sink, if this or any other issue comes up again, we will be sure to call Priority Plumbing first. read more

We decided to call Priority Plumbing based on other reviews we had seen online and we were not disappointed. They were able to schedule a visit before the holidays and were quick to respond on all the questions we had. Our plumber Tony was pleasant to deal with and took the time to explain what the issues were and what possible resolutions we could expect. He provided us with multiple options for work and walked us through each option so we knew exactly what was being done. He tidied up his work stations when he was done and asked us if we had any follow up questions when he was finished. It was nice that he took the time to explain things as these service calls can be quite daunting for people who are not handy or do not understand all the potential complications the work may cause. If I could give more stars, I would! I called Priority Plumbing when I noticed my basement bathroom ceiling leaking. Noone ever wants to notice that on a Friday evening. They sent KYLE to me the very next morning. Kyle was prompt, knowledgeable to the nth degree, courteous, kind, and even shared his love of LEGO with us. He diagnosed the problem (upstairs toilet) and went to work. He even recommended a better toilet to us when we asked and replaced our toilet, too. He noticed the flush in the basement bathroom was faulty and replaced that for us, too. I couldn't have asked for a more seamless experience. Do NOT hesitate to call Priority Plumbing. I have used this company twice, and both times I have been extremely satisfied. The staff are very friendly, very helpful, quick and efficient. They explain everything that is going on to you so you have all the information required to make an informed decision about what course of action to take as there is sometimes more than one option. Each time I have called I have been able to get an appointment ASAP (somewhere between the day of the call and the day after). It has never taken them more than about 30 minutes to fix even a very complicated problem (I live in a VERY old home with very old pipes). They also do their very best to arrive at the beginning of the time frame they quote to you so you aren't sitting around all day waiting for them. We were a little confident of our newly replaced sink because a friend of mine has worked on it and he's a trustworthy guy. But after a few weeks of using the sink, a problem began to arise. There's some leaking water on the lower portion of the sink, I don't know why and it's making things messy under the sink because of the water. So we called in Priority Plumbing for help, they immediately went into our place and checked the sink. They immediately identified what is wrong and hurriedly started the word. I never though that they would fix the sink on the spot because I never knew how these guys work. So when my Mom called me upset about a leak in our home I knew exactly who to call! Ouwesi arrived in less than an hour to efficiently identify the issues and get right to it! All in all the gentlemen we interacted with were very professional, courteous and performed replacement of my failing pipes exactly as hoped. Austin managed the entire job, including providing daily updates of the work done; and the work left to do. I have no illusions that this job could have been done for cheaper. I am not knocking the guys that I worked with, they deserve all credit for providing excellent service and a speedy resolution. If I could do this all over again I would have been MUCH clearer with costs upfront. $400 dollars for clog removal/toilet removal/camera inspection is high, especially when the clog is then followed up with the replacement of 22 feet of pipe. read more

I requested a service to clear two slow drains. Brendan Hutchinson was assigned to the job and provided an excellent service. He was very careful when bringing his tools into the building and my place, and left both the kitchen and bathroom spotless once he finished. He was very clear on the options available for the repair and provided me with a detailed budget. I had a great experience with priority plumbing. The situation was explained to me very well. All my questions were answered patiently. The workers who came to dig out the old pipes and lay in the new pipes did an excellent job. They were quick, efficient, courteous, and at the end of it all cleaned up leaving the environment, the way they found it. They salvaged the old laminate flooring for me so we could put it back down when the cement on the floor dried. They gave me instructions and a timeline. I was promised two days work and that is exactly what I got. I would recommend this company and I will use them again if necessary. read more
