Do NOT send your loved ones here…read more My family member spent 6 weeks in this facility. She came in with an infection that was not treated through its course; she finished her course of antibiotics, but her symptoms returned shortly afterward. She got weaker and weaker, and complained of abdominal pain. The staff did nothing; one nurse even had the gall to tell me there was nothing to do for stomach pain. I had to ask them to take blood and stool samples, and when the results finally came back positive for C Diff, I learned they had not even started her on a course of antibiotics despite having the results in hand! In that moment, I insisted that they transfer her to an ER immediately that night; she was so weak she could no longer stand or use her arms and hands. I regret so much not taking this action sooner; it's unbelievable to think you can't trust medical professionals to take basic care of your loved one. Prior to that, my family member reported that the folks leading her physical therapy appointments were often on their phones, and disengaged with her care. The food is also the worst of the 5-6 hospitals and facilities my family member stayed at in the area. The staff is largely unresponsive. The social worker at the time (Joy, winter 2025) set up a good informational meeting with the care team when my family member was first admitted; then she promptly disappeared. She would not return phone calls; she was always "in meetings". When I finally would connect with her, she would promise to stop by to visit my family member to communicate with her. Days and days would go by, no visit, no returned phone call. Absolutely unprofessional and shameful. Search previous low-star reviews, and you will see a pattern. Re the care my family member received: she was in such bad shape when she left Glendora Canyon and went to the ER (colitis, sepsis, then she had a stroke) that she spent 2 weeks in the ICU, and then another month recovering in a hospital. Glendora Canyon, her health was in your hands and you deeply failed her. SHE ALMOST DIED in your facility. And finally, adding insult to injury, when my family member was taken by ambulance to an ER, they lost her personal items that were in her room. I tried in vain to find them; they first gave me two bags of someone else's clothing and items, and then tried to push someone's else items on me. At the hospital my family member went to, I met family members of a different Glendora Canyon TCU patient who had his phone and iPad go missing when he was also transferred to a hospital, also for not being cared for adequately at Glendora Canyon. So this is a theme. Beware. Terrible establishment; do not send your loved ones here!!

Forever Grateful to Healing Care Hospice for the Care They Gave My Dad…read more I don't even know where to begin in expressing the depth of my gratitude for Healing Care Hospice and their incredible team. When my dad's health began to decline and we were told it was time for hospice, my family was heartbroken and scared. We didn't know what to expect, and we wanted to make sure he would be surrounded by love, comfort, and dignity. From the very first moment Healing Care Hospice stepped in, we felt an enormous sense of peace. The nurses who cared for my dad were absolute angels. They treated him like he was their own family -- always gentle, patient, and respectful. They explained everything to us with compassion and honesty, making sure we understood what was happening every step of the way. It never felt rushed or routine; it felt deeply personal. Even during the hardest moments, their calm presence and kindness made such a difference. The aides and caregivers were just as amazing. They made sure my dad was clean, comfortable, and pain-free. They noticed the little things -- fixing his blanket, massaging his hands, talking softly to him when he couldn't respond -- small gestures that spoke volumes about their compassion. The social worker and chaplain also brought so much comfort, not just to my dad but to our entire family. They gave us emotional support, listened when we needed to talk, and helped us process everything we were feeling. It meant the world to have people who didn't just focus on medical care but truly cared for the human and spiritual side of what we were going through. One thing that stood out was the way the team communicated. They were always available -- day or night -- and made sure we never felt alone. Whether it was a question about medication, a sudden change in my dad's condition, or just needing reassurance, someone was always there to help with warmth and patience. When my dad passed, the hospice team was with us, guiding us gently through those final moments with compassion and respect. They handled everything with such grace, giving us space to say goodbye in peace. Even after, they checked in on us to see how we were doing, which meant so much. I can honestly say Healing Care Hospice helped my dad transition with comfort and dignity, and helped our family find peace in an incredibly painful time. They weren't just caregivers -- they became part of our family during those last weeks. To everyone at Healing Care Hospice: thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made an unbearable time a little easier, and you gave my dad the care and love he deserved. We will never forget what you did for us. If anyone reading this is searching for hospice care for a loved one, I can say with complete confidence that Healing Care Hospice is the kind of team you want by your side. They bring heart, compassion, and genuine humanity to every moment.

I urge you to carefully consider this before contracting with any hospice provider. Unfortunately, our experience with Faith & Hope made an already painful situation even harder. In April 2025, my mom suffered a massive stroke. She was placed under Continuous Care (CC), which meant she required critical, around-the-clock nursing support. We were told her case would be re-evaluated after three days. However, the care was stopped in less than 24 hours and we were given only 4 hours' notice that services would be discontinued. At that point, it was clear our needs no longer aligned with Faith & Hope's philosophy of care. We scrambled to hire private help on extremely short notice. That night, my mom was in significant pain & experienced agitation. She needed her medication adjusted and an increase of the dosage frequency to help manage her symptoms. The next day, we made final attempts to Faith & Hope to reassess mom's eligibility for CC, even though the on-call night nurse, when we asked, did acknowledge that we were free to seek another hospice provider. We waited all day for a response from Faith & Hope, but heard nothing. Faced with another evening without adequate care, we transferred my mom to a different hospice. They gave us the right care without hesitation. Sadly, our mom passed away only 4 days later. The only positive experience we had with Faith & Hope was with Nurse Theresa. She cared for my mom with compassion, dedication and a true commitment to patient advocacy. Theresa's thoughtfulness and support helped guide my brothers and me through an incredibly challenging time, and for that we are deeply grateful.

Beacon became my second home. I was there every day and often stayed until 1 a.m., especially when my mom was not feeling well. I was very attentive and meticulous about her care, always closely monitoring the quality of support she received. Beacon made sure they delivered consistent and compassionate care throughout her stay. My mom was transferred to Beacon in 2021 and spent the final chapter of her life at Beacon Healthcare Center. My mom passed away on January 4, 2025. Her assigned nurses at Beacon never failed to check on how she was doing. We had hoped she would recover, but God had other plans. Although, saying goodbye was one of the hardest experiences our family has ever faced, I am deeply grateful for the care and compassion she received. Like any healthcare facility, there were a few hiccups along the way. We had some concerns during her stay, but I appreciate that the staff listened to us and worked with our family to address them. Being able to communicate openly and come to a resolution meant a great deal during such a difficult time. The nurses, caregivers, and staff treated my mom with kindness, dignity, and respect. They made every effort to keep her comfortable and showed genuine compassion not only to her but also to our family. Their patience, comforting words, and support meant more than they probably realize. No place can take away the pain of losing someone you love, but knowing my mom was surrounded by caring people brought us peace during her final days. I truly appreciate everyone who played a role in her care and helped make a heartbreaking experience a little easier to bear. Special thank you to Nurse Tran, Ms. Cynthia, Ms. Gloria, Nurse Angelica, Nurse Angelo, Nurse Mary Ann, and Nurse Mary Rose for their dedication and compassion, especially during my mother's feeding times. They never gave up on her and continued to provide patient, attentive care. I am also grateful to everyone who took part in caring for Ms. Helen Basco. Thank you all for your kindness, patience, and support. Thank you to the entire team at Beacon Healthcare Center for the kindness, professionalism, and compassion you showed my mom and our family. We will always remember and appreciate everything you did. Thank you. - The Basco Family

Like many facilities, there appears to be a serious lack of urgency, compassion, and communication. My dad went approximately 15 hours without being provided water. On another occasion, he was left sitting in soiled clothing for over an hour and was expected to eat his meal before anyone assisted him. While visiting, I also witnessed another patient fall. The patient remained on the floor for approximately 20 minutes while several staff members stood around without providing immediate assistance. It was upsetting to witness. Communication among the staff has also been extremely poor. It often seems that no one knows what is happening or who is responsible for patient care, making it difficult for families to get answers or feel confident that their loved ones are receiving proper attention. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone looking for rehabilitation care for a loved one.
