We've been going to Priority Automotive to service our vehicles for longer than I can remember. At least probably 15-20 years. We nurse our cars along forever and drive them pretty much into the ground. Chris has always been completely honest with repairs and we know when it's time to pull the plug. In 2014, we finally put our 15 year old Jeep Grand Cherokee out to pasture. Chris has also done excellent work on our Land Rovers, Lexus GX460, Cadillac sedan, Jeep Wrangler, and a 1986 El Camino. I'm perplexed by the one star reviews, especially the ones mentioning Vicky. She has been nothing but professional, responsive, and goes to great lengths to thoroughly explain what is happening with your vehicle. The greatest endorsement ever was my late father's trust in Chris and Vicky. The man who was inherently suspicious and trusted no mechanic ever got to know them and eventually just dropped off his Buick Rainier and would say "I don't need an estimate, just fix it. Great people. Ethical - tells it like it is- and they hustle to get the work done. Price is very fair compared to other shops in the area ( and if they are honest with you, PA is a great bargain). You can speak with them about your problem, they will come out from under the hoods or the office and do a 911 diagnostic on the spot and tell you want you may or may not need. I like that -- they take the time to speak with you and not hustle you like other shops in town. Everyone hates it when the mechanic hustles you and you feel cheated like some banker stole your house in foreclosure. PA does a great job. They even drive you home or pick you up if you live in the local area ( Alta Vista, BC area, maybe within a short 5-10 min drive -- just ask them). I worked with them a few times and they have done it: fix it, priced it fair, gave good relationship and gave me positive jives to work with them again. Mind you -- they worked on a BMW and fixed it in a day. Next I need to send my MBNZ over for some brake work. read more

I've never had a problem here first of all. I've brought all my vehicles to Chris after i was sick and tired of using the dealership for my repairs. Chris is very inexpensive for the work that they do, every time i bring my cars to him he always reviews my options and prices. He also goes over what kind of parts he can use. I really appreciate this as most places just add whatever parts and charge you the most that they can. Chris and his wife vickey are really pleasent people to deal with. My mother brings her car in to their shop for everything and half of the time they either don't charge her of if they do it's considerably less expensive than the Mercedes dealership wants to charge her. Their service is also very fast. I drive 2 cars and I always tell them to take their time as I know their shop can get very backed up, but they always have my car out by the end of the day when i bring it in in the morning. Very honest people who do good work. 5 stars! I won't take my cars anywhere else. read more

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Shop has poor turn around times for when your vehicle will be ready. Communication is severely lacking. You have to show up to the shop to check on your vehicle, which is inconvenient if they have your only vehicle. Management is unapologetic with customers frustrations was told that my discrepancies were fine and didnt matter. Poor management is a direct reflection of poor service. read more

AC wasn't working in my car, brought it here for an AC service and turned out that I needed a new compressor! Ouch! Was not prepared to pay that much so asked how much for the diagnostic and they were only going to charge the $29.99 AC service fee, a very pleasant surprise! Most places want anywhere from $100-135 for a diagnostic. Eventually got the new compressor from Priority and they gave me a very fair price on that also. Turn around time was also super fast and they were very patient with my million questions and concerns. Will definitely come back for my future repairs. read more

Very impressed. Called in the morning and Chris had me bring it in that day. Looked at it when I got there and figured out the leak...no big deal. Then had one of his guys drive it so he could hear the clunking sound. Then Chris drove it to get that perspective and have his guy listen. Final results replace the u joints at a reasonable price. I thought these people were very honest and I would take my car to get repaired all the time but once I got a different car the transmission needed to get replaced they told my to rebuild it would cost 1700 I told them to go ahead and fix it once I went to pick up my car they told me it was a rebuilt transmission and I have a year warranty about a month or so my car started acting up and I was going to take it in but needed the car at the time so 3 months passed and I go to take it in they told me I only had a 90 day warranty because they pulled it out of a junkyard if I paid you that much money why would I have you pull it out of a junkyard doesn't make any sense I just recently got a transmission from another shop and he told me that the transmission was complete junk and he couldn't believe they did that to me they didn't even check anything on the transmission and just threw it in that was the last time I went to that place and will never go again I just wasted my money that I could have spent on other things for my daughter I wouldn't trust them to look at my car I honestly don't know how they have a lot of business because they just use junkyard parts you're better off going to pick a part and doing the work yourself. read more

I needed my transmission repaired, so I called over 15 different shops here in town and found Priority automotive. They weren't the cheapest in town, and they sounded professional in giving a quote. So i thought it would be a good experience, but I was wrong. The practices and work done was not worth what I paid. I requested a transmission repair, they got a used transmission installed then installed brakes for me at no extra charge which was nice. Everything was working well except for the shifting issues which they resolved after I returned. The second time I went to pick up the car, they told me it would be left outside for me to pickup since they close at 5PM, after heading there it was no where to be found, I called the next morning and found out they forgot to leave it outside and left it in their garage(could have cost me a my job). A few weeks later another mechanic (at somewhere reputable) was looking at the motor mount noticed a leak, inspecting it I found that it was transmission fluid. I called the office and spoke with a woman at the front desk and told her what I found and asked when I could bring it in to get it inspected, after arguing with her for several minutes and after she blatantly called the other mechanic incompetent, she agreed to set a time for me to get it checked. They looked at it and said the leaking was only coming from my rack and pinion and that they could replace it for said price, I said "Ok, but the transmission is leaking, did you look at it?" They said there wasn't any leaking and and told me the oil had to be from the rack and pinion. Talked with the mechanic and front desk and argued over whether or not the transmission leaked. To be completely certain I compared the oil in the power steering pump, transmission dip, and and oil on the floor, it was identical to the transmission, the power steering fluid was golden brown while the transmission was red. Even showed them the pictures, they refused to say it was leaking. I took it back in after being persistent, they said they looked at it and "tightened up" a few things. The morning after I got my car back, I noticed the gas tank had been leaking... I called to ask what happened, they said the gas tank was not punctured there, but they could replace it for a said price. It looked as though it was lowered onto a jack or tool which hit the tank. They refused to take responsibility for it or even check around to see if a mechanic did it by accident. To conclude, they can perform OK work on brakes, I'm sure they can replace gas tanks, and I'm sure they could replace a rack and pinion. But with the amount of trouble and grief they caused me and the immature and unprofessional responses to issues they caused, I should have gone somewhere else. Please be weary if dealing with this shop. Not to mention one look around their garage and you'll see what looks to be an extremely messy teenager's room. read more
