If I could give this FedEx location zero stars I would. For one, the parking situation is a total…read moresh*tshow. Good luck finding street parking. The staff themselves are not the friendliest, they all have the same "I'm just here to get paid and dip out" energy. I came to drop off an iPhone that needed to be sent to Apple as a replacement. When I dropped the iPhone off the CSR did not label or tape my package in front of me. But I assumed positive intent that he would do his job and not potentially go through my package. Long story short, I got a message from Apple stating that they received an empty box with no iPhone inside to return. So at some point between me dropping it off and it being in-transit to the return center someone pocketed my iPhone. Thankfully Apple was willing to work with me and the situation was rectified rather quickly but the fact I had to deal with that BS. It already sucks we only have two FedEx Shipping Centers in the Hoboken/Jersey City area. The location at Exchange Place is probably better but the parking is just as bad. Be cautious when dropping off your packages and always ask for a receipt.

However they ended up helping us and getting the service processed. They were initially confused by the label but we were able to figure it out. Good thing I stayed to watch them pack it though because they almost put it in an incorrect container and we had to adjust. Quality (4/5): This store has a nice interior and seems spacious. There is a lot of supplies and equipment available. Value (NA): Processing an item for adjustment so the company doing this adjustment paid for the transaction.

At my most recent visit, the staff were very, very nice. They went around and asked if anyone needed help. They visited people in line to make sure they were bringing up the right things for what they needed. And the lady working at the cashier was very pleasant. This is more than I could ask for from my typical visit.

In my quest to explore the various cuisine scenes and businesses throughout Jersey City and specifically the Heights, my latest exploration was at the United States Post Office Jersey City's location. Generally speaking, I was a fan of the United States postal service; however, I felt the system and its offices were completely outdated and not in-tune with the times. Furthermore, to paraphrase a hilarious "Seinfeld" episode, "No one really needs the postal service because you could do everything electronically now...!" Very true. For my first visit to this office of the U.S. postal service, was I able to get what I needed to be done!? PURCHASE 1st-Class Mail Weighted Mail ($2.59): I needed to send out a packet that contained several pieces of mail to a former tenant. I crammed them all into an envelope and was surprised by the reasonably-low price - sweet! 20pc Buttons/Pins Forever Stamps Sheet ($14.60): If you knew me, I loved collecting stamps (a philatelist!), so whenever I needed to drop off something at a post office, I always had to check what the latest available stamps were. I wasn't as avid as I was years ago when I followed the arrival dates of collectible editions and the like. Now, I was pretty much a casual collector. On this particular date, they had these cool button/pins edition with cheery happy messages - yes! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=SyihBLb_3bLxPaNfjZul0Q SERVICE A spirited older woman behind a thick Plexiglass counter window called me over as I was the only customer at the time, weighted my package, slapped a postage sticker on it, showed me a selection of stamps they currently had, I paid, and off I went; easy-peasy - 'nuff said! PARKING (Unknown; N/A this instance) This was an easy flat 10-minute walk from my friend's place. Otherwise, the only option was the plenty of spots along the main drag of Central Ave. and all surrounding roads - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A small narrow space that funneled you inward towards the counter windows, there were P.O. Boxes along the side walls, a couple of mail drop-off boxes, a center writing table, and minimal postings on the walls. To be frank, this was kind of a depressing location. Decent amount of natural lighting came through the front windows and doors while soul-sucking fluorescent bright electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There weren't any TVs nor background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Jersey City's United States Post Office location served my basic needs and would consider them again. However, the overall dungeonesque aesthetics needed a lot of help; there simply weren't any positive vibes, and I couldn't wait to get back outside. Having said that, it appeared they offered all of the main amenities as other post offices I've been to and the service was no-nonsense straightforward, but this was the most dreadful of all locations I've been to. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experiences was around $17.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... Upon arriving at the address listed on Yelp and their website (which is a multi occupancy office building) - the doors were locked with a nondescript intercom system. I called them to try to figure out how to get in. Nobody picked up, but the message proclaimed that they were 'open and operating but couldn't get to the phone.' I wandered around a bit more and found the REAL entrance, located at 520 8th Avenue. I went to check in at the security desk as required, and was turned away by the security guard because apparently, they are appointment-only. That seems odd for a supposedly 24 hour establishment. I did not see this on the website, nor was it mentioned in their phone message. Long story short, wasted so much time going to this place, trying to get in, trying to get a hold of them, trying to get past security, and with nothing to show for it. Will not be trying this business again.

They have FAR exceeded expectations. They're always on time or early, they have handled all our requests with professionalism and good humor, and the staff is THE NICEST I've dealt with in a while. I have countless examples of them going above and beyond! I can't recommend them any higher.
