Beautiful store, mediocre cheesecake.
Walking into the store is lovely. It definitely has a picturesque vibe and comfortable feeling. All the cheesecakes are in a display and their decorative qualities are very solid. Lots of good chocolate work across many of them, including glazes, bended chocolate rings, and chocolate crusts. Aesthetic is this place's strongsuit. However, taste sadly is not.
We ordered the lemon curd, mango, and passion fruit cheesecakes.
The passion fruit was easily the best and was legitimately good. It was tart and bursting with flavor. Must have if you do come here.
The lemon curd was boring and mild. I could barely get any lemon flavor. I'm a huge lemon curd fan, so this was especially disappointing. Avoid.
The mango was easily the worst. It was even more mild than the lemon and had a strong nutty note since the fruit flavor was nonexistent. Avoid.
The cheesecake itself is very airy. Maybe it's an American thing, but our cheesecakes are very dense and rich, which is how they should taste. The cheesecake base layer this place has is almost completely without flavor, so it relies heavily on the toppings.
I definitely regret coming here, but maybe it's just that we picked a couple bad ones. The passion fruit gives me hope but I won't be risking it again. read more
