After dinner, you can spend the rest of the evening partying the ballroom. They offer all the services, (or can recommend) you need when planning a wedding. For us and our guests, it was super convenient and easier to have everything for the wedding in one beautiful setting. The food, the hor's d'oeuvres, and entrees was amazing. There's also a huge bar attended by professional bartenders. The food servers were friendly, professional and very attentive. We received so many compliments from our guests on both the food and service. Many said that was the best food they ever had at a wedding! Before we went, I was super excited to eat their sandwich because we had heard good things about it!! When we arrived, others had ordered the fish and it looked amazing and was huge. I ordered my fish sandwich, and so did the rest of our table. It was okay, but just ok. It was not as good as I expected it to be or how it looked to be. It is a beer battered cod (which is my favorite) but it's really lacking the beer battered part. The batter used seems extremely thin on the fish. The proportion of fish to batter was absolutely lacking. Some parts of my fish sandwich were really thick too which I don't prefer. The fish was really watery/slimy too. It caused the bun to be soggy. The fish almost had an uncooked/slimy taste/texture to the thicker parts of the fish. I think it could have been cooked longer (was cooked enough to eat, but not fully to take away the slime factor). The fries were really good though and the food did come out extremely hot! The wings were very good though. Would get those again. We got the buffalo wings and weren't disappointed!

Though standard fare everything is served cooked to perfection. Meats are juicy and tender, pasta not over cooked, sauces flavorful and not dried out.

Wanted to share an incident that happened to us recently. We attended an event at The Boiler Room,…read morePittsburgh in the last week of May. Boiler room management provided the host with a room and key for keeping our valuables. Few of the ladies who were at the party kept their handbags in this room and locked. After the party is over, we went to pick the bags and noticed that someone opened the lock and robbed the handbags. There were a total of 5 ladies handbags and one of the guy's wallet were stolen. There was also a suit case missing which makes us think that the robber kept all these handbags in the suit case and left. Their office manager was feeling really bad at the time of incident. He looked into the cc tv footage next day and saw a person walking away with the suitcase. We were informed that they have liability insurance and not to worry. Later, the insurance company informed us that Boiler room's insurance policy doesn't cover theft. Just want others to be aware of this.

The space looks a little dated from the outside and I would say that holds true inside as well. But what it lacks in aesthetics it makes up for in the food and service. Our event offered chicken, two types of pasta with one being gluten-free, scalloped potatoes, carrots and green beans. There were individually plated salads with either ranch or homemade Italian dressing and rolls with butter. Everything was extremely clearly labeled as to dietary restrictions and even allergies such as nuts. The service was truly took this place to the next level. There was a small bar offering both alcoholic beverages and soft drinks and even a mocktail option. Servers came around to our table constantly to clear dishes that were finished, fill water glasses and keep coffee hot. When my friend mentioned she had had an early start to the day and needed that coffee for her drive home, the server offered to get her one to go. Just phenomenal folks here. Another friend mentioned that she has attended murder mystery dinners here so they are doing more than events. I'm glad to know that the food is so good if I'm invited to a future event here!
