I just got off the phone with Rick Champagne at Northshore Yachtworks. What a great guy. I was having problems with my Northern Lights genset [that's boat-talk for 'generator' - Thelma] and Rick talked me through it, in THREE conversations! THREE. And did not ask for any payment. I am doing this because I am GOBSMACKED about how generous Rick was with his time. Next time I need to be hauled out of the water, guess where I'm going??? 'Check out the reviews on Google. Dodman's did not return my calls after he phoned me and told me that his employee phoned in sick. The owner tried to fit the cover himself And really botched this simple job. I ended up driving in to the business 4 times to talk with the owner and on the 4th time I took the seat back. I took my seat and cover to Gledstone Upholstery in Cloverdale and they installed the cover with no issues in under a week. It looks great! I have dealt with Dodman's for over 30 years and with them being beside Burnaby Kawasaki you would have thought that their work with motorcycle seats would be good. I think the motorcycle seat expertise is no longer there and I will never be back. Don't take your motorcycle seat to Dodman's.

First, they list their address on Clark, but the door at Clark is permanently locked. I parked the van at William Street, where a service entrance is located. However, there is a sign to go to the Clark St. (which is locked). Finally, we noticed that there is an entrance and parking at Charles Street, although there is no indication. My wife went to the sales department, on the second floor, while I moved the van there. When I arrived, my wife told me that the sales lady informed that they do not manufacture seat covers for RVs. I went to the sales room and explained to the sales lady that my van is a Mercedes Sprinter converted into a camper. She replied that they do not have covers for RVs, and had absolutely no interested in helping me. I appealed saying that my van was parked only 10 meters from there, why could she not go there and check the type of seat in the van, so she could affirm that they do not have with certainty? Waist of time, she was not interested in helping me, nor to make a sale. I regret that somebody grew this business and then left it in the hands of unwilling staff.
