Great job on my couch - will use again. Rip was really bad and I can't even see it anymore.

First, they list their address on Clark, but the door at Clark is permanently locked. I parked the van at William Street, where a service entrance is located. However, there is a sign to go to the Clark St. (which is locked). Finally, we noticed that there is an entrance and parking at Charles Street, although there is no indication. My wife went to the sales department, on the second floor, while I moved the van there. When I arrived, my wife told me that the sales lady informed that they do not manufacture seat covers for RVs. I went to the sales room and explained to the sales lady that my van is a Mercedes Sprinter converted into a camper. She replied that they do not have covers for RVs, and had absolutely no interested in helping me. I appealed saying that my van was parked only 10 meters from there, why could she not go there and check the type of seat in the van, so she could affirm that they do not have with certainty? Waist of time, she was not interested in helping me, nor to make a sale. I regret that somebody grew this business and then left it in the hands of unwilling staff.

(I'm surprised mine is the first review for this business; they've been around for years)…read more This is one of those rare reviews where I honestly say I wish I could bestow more than 5 starts. It is THAT good. Backstory: I have two modern Wassily chairs. I've had them for over 40 years and they've moved with me to all the apartments and homes I've lived in, in the USA and Canada. They were the first pieces of furniture I've ever purchased for myself. I love them so. But about a year ago, the thick leather straps on the frames started deteriorating. On one chair, it was underneath the seat panel. On the other, it was the stitching on the back strap. I tried my best to "fix" the chairs myself. I especially thought I could repair the chair with the seat issue, since the leather was peeling off on the underside of the seat and no-one would see my McGuyver-like repair, with furniture glue and then furniture leather patches and, finally, duct tape. Yes, duct tape. It didn't have to be pretty. It just needed to hold the leather together. But nothing was working! The leather layer kept peeling off. Not only did it look bad (as you could see the leather hanging under the seat), but it got to the point where I was concerned for for structural integrity of the seat. I worried that someone would sit on it and the seat panel would totally break off the frame! Something had to be done. I went here on Yelp (as I always do!) to research upholstery repair companies. I contact 9 or 10 of them. Less than half responded to me. Those that did requested photos of the chairs and had various follow-up questions. Of the few who responded, they ALL said they "don't do" these types of chairs. No further explanations, no referrals to anyone who does fix modern furniture, nada. Of the 10 companies I reached out to, only V1 Upholstery responded and said they could repair these chairs. I was so grateful! Vannara came to my place and inspected the chairs and was able to disassemble the chairs in a way to access the straps that needed repairing or replacing (I hadn't even thought to disassemble the chairs. I thought he'd have to take the whole chair). He quoted me a price that was super reasonable, and was the consummate professional all around. I will update this review when I get my chairs back, and I'll post photos, but for now, I just wanted to let the Yelp universe know that THIS guy, THIS company, was the ONLY one to respond to me and would agree to repairing my modern chairs. THE ONLY ONE. And I am so so grateful!
