Her website is also very informative and provides a list of food/drink/medicine items to avoid before the procedure so you will have the best experience and reduce pain & bleeding. I had struggled with adult acne for several months and she always made sure she did treatments to assist with the healing process and gave suggestions of products to try. She uses lots of organic products and is very knowledgeable about how to care for your skin naturally from the inside and out. Marie discussed with me permanent make-up and how she could shape my brows. After looking at her website, and before and after photos, I was pleased with her experience and the after shots I saw. I'm super happy with how my brows turned out, they look very natural! Marie clearly states on her webpage what to expect during and after permanent make-up, and gives instructions on steps to follow prior to having the procedure done in order to reduce pain and bleeding and increase the likelihood that the permanent make-up will hold. I followed the directions for both my first application and my following touch-up appointment and was very pleased with the procedure and results. I also used her recommendations when getting other tattoos on my body to help reduce pain and bleeding and was really impressed with how well it works. I asked for my money or my certificates back and had to wait months to receive the certificates that I had already completed. They said they would email me a tracking number for the certificates and I never got one. She even wanted to charge me more money just to be able to get the certificates which were never given to me in the first place. I sent my husband to pick up the certificates and he was received with a hostile attitude. I called her to see why she couldn't give my husband the certificates and she became VERY angry and started to yell. Bear through this long review with me. I booked Leah for my…read morewedding which took place last Saturday and had to terminate our contract 5 days before our wedding. My first clue should've been at my trial which took place at her home. After being in her home for 5 minutes she insulted me twice. I was wearing a cute eras tour tee which is primarily white (and my favorite cozy tshirt) and she made me take it off and change because it wasn't "white" which at first didn't bother me until she verbatim said that she doesn't like her because she's a "libtard" and after I told her I was also a "libtard" she rubbed my shoulder and said "oh im sorry hunny" as if she was more sorry that I was a liberal and not because she had blatantly insulted me. She also talked a lot of politics and how famous people worship the devil, im not sure why we had this discussion, I was there to get my hair and makeup done. I understand I could've told her in that moment that I was uncomfortable but I am shy and awkward and had already put in my file on her website to avoid talking all politics around my family day of wedding, so not sure where the idea came from that I'd be interested in discussing that during my Trial. Extremely unprofessional. Believe it or not that wasn't the last straw. I continued to work with her as I did like the way she did my hair and makeup and I could email her again letting her know that politics was not to be discussed at all closer to the wedding.... WELL November 9th she sends me some questions she needs answered and said she was sending me a schedule for my day of so I could have myself and my bridesmaids ready for her in the hotel suite. She didn't send it but I answered all her questions in a timely manner. A week later I reach out and ask for the schedule and how much I owe her so I could get that payment complete. She said she would send it the next morning because she was doing a wedding and it was a hectic weekend. Understandable because November weddings in AZ are extremely popular. So I gave her grace, but 4 days go by and now its Monday and my wedding is 5 days away. I again ask for the schedule because I need to let my girls know AND ITS FIVE DAYS TILL MY WEDDING, why dont I already have it. She said "sorry hunny busy wedding weekend, getting dinner tonight and meeting a client and will get it to you tomorrow" I felt completely blown off and not important to her as a client. I decided to tell her that I was very upset and hurt and stressed out at the fact that she wasn't getting this done yet. 4 days before a wedding is crazy to get your schedule in my opinion. She didn't respond so I decided to look over the contract to terminate it. I was very understanding that she got to keep the deposit so i didnt argue. Just told her that i needed someone who could accomadate my needs and that i found that. Again, no response that day or night. The new artist i found that night got me a schedule and what we owed her in an hour of talking to her on the phone....five days from my wedding. So why couldnt leah accomadate that? The next morning i wake up to the schedule leah had said she would send over november 9th, on november 18th....and a following email begging me to not cancel, that she has a lot going on and things got in her way and, that i should understand that. I completely understand that we all struggle or go through hard times but when i go to work and im hurting or upset i dont blow off my guests or ignore them and tell them "oh sorry im having a bad week." Its extremely unprofessional. I just think someone whose been in this industry should know november weddings are hectic, plan accordingly.

Sadly my review of Leah does not have to do with the quality of her work as a hair and makeup…read moreartist, as I did not get to experience her work. This review is based on her professionalism as we communicated ahead of my bridal trial. I am an out of state bride, and I booked Leah for my April 2025 wedding in January of 2024. In late September 2024, I reached out to her letting her know my fiance and I would be traveling to AZ one weekend in January 2025 to meet with vendors and do my hair and makeup trial. I told her we would not be picking a date or booking flights until we heard back on her availability. We hadn't even picked a weekend, to give her as much flexibility as we could. I offered 3 weekends in January. Initially she said she was available the 11th but wanted to double check that. After not hearing back from her, I followed up and she said she was available 1/10/2025 at 1pm. This exchange happened the first week of October. I confirmed that worked for us, and we reached out to other vendors to schedule appointments and booked our flights there. This past week, I reached out to all my vendors to see if there was anything they needed from me or what I needed to do to prep for this weekend. When I reached out to Leah, she told me she needed to reschedule. At this point, our weekend was packed beginning to end with vendor meetings (again, we are having an out of state wedding, so this was our only weekend in AZ to meet with people and prep things). She then told me to text her (we had done all previous communication over email), which I did. I told her that we were only here for this weekend, and that we had scheduled all of our flights and appointments around this trial that she previously agreed to (months in advance). Instead of taking accountability for her mistake, she first told me she had no record of the trial. A simple search for my name in her email inbox would have pulled up a thread with the subject line Bridal Hair/Makeup Trial. I forwarded her the email, to which her response was that because I emailed her, it wasn't recorded. She said her scheduling is done through a CRM and it didn't add to her calendar (again not taking accountability). She did try to reschedule me for the same weekend, but by then we had so many other meetings we would have had to arrange that none of the times she said she could reschedule worked for us. At this point, I had lost trust in her and was not comfortable or confident in her professionalism for my wedding day. I told her I wanted to terminate our contract. Only after I told her I wanted out of the contract did she tell me that she could make herself available on the original date and time. I requested a refund of my $200 deposit, and I understand that I did sign a contract acknowledging that it was non-refundable, but was hopeful that considering the situation was of no fault of my own, Leah would refund me. She has chosen to not refund the $200, which again, she is not contractually obligated to do, but considering that it is supposed to cover her communication and scheduling (I had to follow up with her when she did not reply to me, and clearly she did not even add my trial to her calendar) I am not sure that enough work was done to warrant $200. Had I been a local bride, this probably would not have been as big of an issue for me, but it was very clearly communicated to Leah that I was an out of state bride flying in for my trial. Canceling was not an emergency on Leah's part (at least not that she communicated), she was just moving studio locations and failed to add my appointment to her calendar. This whole situation happening less than 24 hours before I was supposed to leave for my trip was so stressful. I understand that mistakes happen, but this mistake was 100% avoidable, and Leah could have taken more accountability for the mistake from the jump instead of blaming it on other things. If you are a bride who values a trustworthy vendor with good communication, I would take your business elsewhere. *After I posted this review Leah did refund my money.*
