This was my 2nd time to try out. First time wasn't bad, but nothing special about hamburger or service. Pricey in my opinion. Today, tried the special, chicken fried steak. My guest ordered a salad. There was a modest crowd, viz. wasn't full or busy at all. The chicken fried steak had 3 stringy pieces in half of the steak, took the rest home. Ordered sweet potato fries instead of mashed. They had absolutely no seasoning of any kind. Usually, these come with cinnamon/sugar elsewhere. They did get the green beans right, w/onions and bacon bits. When a restaurant advertises a special, I've found they get that out quickly since they have it ready to go. We waited at the least a half hour or better to get the food. Asked waitress and no apology or any real explanation. TV sets all over the place and one went out that I could see. Informed the waitress and all she said was OK or something like that, no explanation. Asked again later and she said that it happens sometimes and they can't fix it. Seemed totally uninterested in trying to get this solved. Also, had a wobbly table. Try cutting a chicken fried steak and you can see your drink almost spill. Told waitress. Not interested. Didn't offer another table and didn't attempt to fix it. Basically, the waitress needs to go back to training as she walked by several times without even a glance to see how we were doing. Plus, the prices in general are steep for a town this size. Just for a comparison, went to a BBQ place in Ottawa awhile back and had a wobbly table. The waitress immediately expressed her concern and asked if we'd like to move and we did. While we were eating some staff came over to the bad table and leveled it up. Maybe you should send your staff there for some training. Overall, would not recommend this place. Food is mediocre/pricey and even the other waitresses I observed seemed to be in another world as far as attentiveness to customers. read more

Food is great, atmosphere better than most. Love the chicken fried steak. Price is about average for what you get which are good portions.

It was a little pricey for me. I usually don't like to pay more than 10.00 for a burger. It wait was short and the waitress were pleasant. It's a bowling alley so we were expecting something more sport like and a little cheaper price. I just wanted a plain old cheese burger and fries but I didn't want to borrow money to do it. It wasn't a busy night and the section we were seated in, to the right upon entering, only had one other booth occupied. After looking the menu over we waited over 10 minutes and no sever came over to take drink orders. Another booth had been seated farther towards the front and about three minutes after they were seated the wait staff went to them to take their order totally ignoring us. We left and told the hostess what had happened and she was appologetic but offered no resolve for the situation. I understand that they are new and learning but if this restaurant is going to survive their level of service must greatly improve. PrimeTime Grille seems to be co-located with a bowling alley. Pretty cool! The have a full-service bar and lots of TVs all around the restaurant. Booths and some tables (it looks like tables were removed to enforce social-distancing). Masks and sanitizer are offered at the front counter. On to the good stuff: we were greeted promptly and introduced to the trainee as well. The menu has a good variety of appetizers and meals from salads, sandwiches/burgers to plate dinners like salmon, chicken breast, build-your-own pasta, and ribeye steak. I liked the fact that the waitress was really excited to be asked her recommendations and that she offered to accommodate me with offering rice instead of mashed potatoes. Such a little thing but big to customers. She came back often to check on our satisfaction with each course and to offer more beverages. It's easy to see that this establishment trains their employees to offer good service and demands they are proficient in product knowledge while giving them latitude to accommodate the diner. read more

What a joy to experience this atmosphere! The food was excellent and the service was fabulous. We had the pleasure of dining three times over the weekend at this restaurant. After traveling across country for a local event, it was wonderful to have the opportunity to eat comfort food with an elegant twist. The staff seemed happy to serve, which only helped the experience. Ottawa is so lucky to have such a high quality restaurant to offer visitors and locals. Just had the grilled turkey club sandwich last week. Best club sandwich I have ever had! I love everything on the menu there. Waitresses are friendly and helpful, the restaurant is nice and clean and I love the bowling alley too. Definitely recommend for a family night out or even a casual lunch! read more
