Prime Strength is basically a continuation of Grind Fit, which is where the equipment in this facility is from. The owner, Nate, comes across as a chill and laid back dude, the perfect personality for someone looking to join a serious gym. And this gym is serious because it's got equipment that commercial gyms do not have like GHR, reverse hypers, SSB bars, etc.
However, don't be fooled into thinking this gym is different from commercial gyms. It isn't. The owner of this gym treats it like a social club. He has a loud obnoxious speaker where members are free to blast their playlist to their hearts content. I don't feel this is necessary because if you want to listen to music that bad, why not just bring headphones with you?
I would leave this review at 4 stars if that was the only reason. However, the owner revealed himself to be a selfish piece of work when he decided to kick me out of his gym, the day before my birthday, because he didn't like the fact that I said some mean things about two girls that were nothing but disrespectful to me.
These girls are friends with him and his wife and his wife decided to tell him to get rid of me because of that. Did they care that I train seriously and that they don't? Nope. Did they care to gather my story and theirs? Nope. Basically, Nate is a coward who lets his wife wear the pants in both his relationship as well as his business and we all know that she most likely is in it for the military benefits.
The only chance this business has is if another owner buys out Nate. Otherwise, Nate will continue chasing away serious trainees and making this gym no different from Crunch Fitness and LA Fitness. So if you're a serious lifter, find another gym because Nate cares more about his friends who do nothing but mess around than actually trains. read more
