Rare find....wonderful experience! Ok, it's only storage, right? Many people, like me, need it when…read moremoving....which can be a stressful time. 1st, I actually reserved a unit online... it's a very tight market and not many storage units available. I selected a larger size, but a smaller one populated when I went to reserve. I knew this meant they only had the smaller one available. I quickly reserved for a $25 fee which they use for the first month's rent. I'm swamped the next day and forget to call, but no worries as they called me! Folksy, down home type of people.....family owned business....love that! THEY CARE!!! We quickly set it up and they emailed me documents. I went in the next day and signed and set up recurring payment. Good value for the price. So, you walk in to a like new facility....looks like they renovated or built this recently. And the kindness and folksiness continues....they make you so at ease. Weeks later they even asked about my 85 yo mom....they remembered! The process was a breeze. They walk you to your unit and tell you additional details. Very clean, like I said, like new or it is new. I need a larger space and they stay in contact with me. They just called me yesterday with an available unit....they are on top of things! By the way, good access too to my drive up unit....good hours. This company is the best of the best in business and how a company should be run, but many times isn't....especially small family owned businesses. Keep up the good work! I had an unusual last minute request for a weekend delivery in a Maine coastal location…read more The owners of MI - BOX were quick to help and had our portable storage unit at the location within 2 hours of my call! I couldn't believe it. On A Saturday!! When I showed up at the property I am managing where the MI- BOX had been delivered, I arrived to an angry neighbor who threatened to have the box towed due to an ocean view easement I was unaware of. The driver was also aware of the angry neighbor because he too had received a call from said neighbor. After some smoozing with the neighbor, the driver turned around, came back to the property and moved the box to appease the angry neighbor. Hands down the best and courteous customer service! This year it's going up 25%. Feels excessive and like a bait and switch model since once you have your stuff there, you are a captive audience unless you go to the time and effort to move. In addition, they have moved to electronic locks which I resent since it's another app on my phone/with my info and if the power is out, then what? Anywho, if you are ok with the increases and electric locks, they are great.

A bed was also installed backwards but everything else seemed ok. The cost was $1000 more than the quote. What I later discovered that there were a variety of small items broken but most importantly the piano frame was broken.
