This is an old school gas station run by the mechanic owner. This place still fixes cars the way…read moregas stations in the past used to do. The older gentleman who owns it is a sweet man. I don't know his name, but he is always there greeting customers. I would say this gas station is a little nostalgic. They do have automated pay at the pumps, but you could always get full service. My kids don't even know that is! There is no giant convenient store or fancy anything. You could get a soda if your thirsty. It's never busy and I never have to wait for a pump. 5 stars for that!

GAS: Unleaded regular was priced $2.89 during my visit. Free gloves were available at the pump. I always use gloves to pump gas so it was convenient to grab theirs and not use my own. LAYOUT: The gas station is very spacious. It's easy to maneuver and approach gas pumps. It's also very easy to get in and out either to the main road or Meijer parking lot. The gas station is extremely well lit and must be new. STORE: The convenience store is very clean, actively stocked, and very well organized. Key categories are labeled so that you can easily navigate the store. The store is meticulously clean. I have never seen such a clean gas station! The floors, shelves, bathrooms, counters, everything! The coffee maker was sparkling clean. It was pleasant to see! SERVICE: The service was overly friendly for a gas station. So pleasant and attentive. All around, five star experience. I most appreciate the cleanliness, well lit gas station, and organized store. I plan to fill up here next time I'm in the area.

There's one guy who almost always happens to be there and he cheerfully helps me add air to my tires without a scowl. It's great because despite being taught a zillion times how to add air to my tires, I still can't get it. This time, my tire pressure gauge was malfunctioning. Ugh. Anyway, the air is free, and the staff is great. I usually try to buy something from their convenience store in return as a thanks. The only reason it gets one star off is I would love to buy gas from them since it's super close by, but the prices are usually some 25-30c more expensive per gallon than other places nearby.

Now I have to give massive kudos to this awesome Lakewood gas station which is not only shiny and new but has free air for anybody. That's one of the coolest things I've ever heard. Nobody gives free air - these guys do. It was a godsend on this particular night, as I had a slow leak. I was impressed and happy about it. So this was where I ended up changing my tire and it took about three hours (1am-4am) and other than an Ashton Kutcher look alike who popped in to put free air in his tire there was never a point where anybody bothered me or hit me up for anything - so it's definitely in a safe area. I think I saw more cops out here than regular cars. The tire changing was a nightmare, but the gas station was awesome. It's well-lit even when it's closed. I guess that's my only complaint is that they close late at night - but other than that it's the perfect gas station.

She said everyone just went on lunch so it could be awhile, no biggie, my parents lived literally a mile away so I just walked there. An hour later, the car was ready. Standard oil change, car check up stuff, it was free so I can't comment on the prices. But what really surprised me was the fact that they did a follow up phone call which I felt was above and beyond because for all they knew, I was just a girl with a gift certificate and never coming back. If I wasn't trying to learn how to take care of my car myself, I totally would!
