Dr Swagger has been my primary care doctor for over 8 years. He has been a great family…read morepractitioner for myself. His team have been great on scheduling and there is rarely a wait when coming in for an appointment. He has been very good with in office visits, taking care of specialty sports physicals and referrals to specialists. His office has the capability to handle labs in house which is super convenient. I would recommend Dr. Swoager for anyone looking for a primary care Physician.

The office staff are great but Dr. Swoager worsened so much for our family. All 3 of us went (2…read moreadults & a teen at diff times) and the DR didn't once examine any of us (2 had injuries) even calling the one with a back injury healthy before moving on. He saw me for chronic pain & when focusing on nerve pain prescribed Cymbalta saying he takes 2 every morning himself for back pain. Red flags piled up in the few appointments we had with him between Sept-Dec 2020 & then the bill arrived & was coded for a mental health visit for just me, the one who was given an anxiety med for nerve pain. We called the office & his staff even felt like this was an error & assured us it would be taken care of & Dr. Swoager would call us back. Instead the front desk called us with a statement saying the DR believed I was depressed. We never once discussed this in the office ever & I had family there with me every time. Misdiagnosing someone is serious and stealing money is also a crime. I have PTSD but never discussed this with the DR because I was seeing him for pain. I vaguely mentioned some of the conditions I had previous diagnosis for but continued seeking help & an MRI for pain & a tumor I have, not anything else & that was clear. Dr Swoager took full advantage of me and my family, our health, & finances. Medical care isn't cheap which is why most have to pick & choose what they can afford to be seen for within that year  & Dr. Swoager took that right away from us. The 3 people in my family (self included) needed medical care and paid with time & money & still need to be seen to this day for the issues we saw Dr. Swoager for starting in September of last year and we are just now receiving more bills being charged at the higher mental health rate, not all, just some & no explanation for why other than a false diagnosis from a doctor who never discussed my mental state with me ever.

The BayCare Medical Group Oldsmar offices are located in a fairly new and well kept office park and the facilities are modern and clean. The walls of the doctors offices are filled with great travel pictures from the doctors travels. After unsuccessfully trying to get an appointment with a primary care doctor in the Tampa General Medical Group within 30 days, my insurance referred me to Dr Hughes with the BayCare Medical Group who was able to give me an appointment within 3 days, which was just what I needed. The Baycare Medical Group has convenient online appointment scheduling, online pre-appointment paperwork, online lab results, and online medical charts so you don't have to spend a long time on the phone. After checkin it was only a 5 minute wait to see Dr. Hughes. Dr Hughes was friendly, able to answer all my questions confidently, very knowledgeable, even asked follow up questions to figure out my situation, and helped find the best solutions for me. Quest diagnostics is located next door so it was super convenient for me to go after my Doctor's appointment to get vital blood screening lab work. BayCare Medical Group Oldsmar's primary care physicians offer the first point of contact for patients with an undiagnosed health concern, continued care for a variety of health conditions, yearly physical exams, and preventive medicine. How would you like drowning on the operating table ! First…read moretime I went here at the end of August for a shockwave lithotripsy procedure I must have had the "A crew" , which was good but not great, this time (beginning of October) I must have gotten the "B crew", with a few exceptions. Started out with a nice nurse but then the girl came in to do the I.V. , last time the lady did it quick and painless and I barely knew it happened but this time this girl is fishing around for several minutes mumbling what sounded like a different language and eventually the numbing wore off and I told her that she had long enough poking around and to go find someone who could do the job correctly and not treat me like a pin cushion , a guy (Billy) from the operating room came to find what the hold up was and he popped it in with no problem even though it wasn't his job , though he didn't use numbing which was a bit harsh but at least he got it in fast and successfully albeit not even comparable to the experienced lady who did it the first visit . Then I have a red bracelet to alert them not to use a certain muscle relaxant that caused a very bad reaction last time and the anasthesiologist says they prefer to use that one and that's what they're gonna do , not too happy about that either, but I had no choice when they tell you too bad. So I get dragged off to the operating room and they have me deep breathing oxygen for a while and the guy says good nite, and I reply ok good nite but I'm still awake , then my lungs become paralyzed and I can't breathe at all ,struggling to take a breath and shaking my head and waving my hand in the midst of shear panic, feeling like I'm drowning before i finally go unconscious thinking that I just died ! This was the most terrifying traumatic thing I never imagined could happen yet it just did. There is no way to describe the terror and helpless feeling when you go from deep breathing to not being able to take the tiniest breath and nobody says anything as you flail around in panic, feeling like your dying. After my procedure the recovery nurse was super friendly and very attentive, her name was Angela and she was a calming friendly presence that made me feel better, she's the only reason I didn't give this terrifying experience a 1 star rating. I was angry when I woke up recalling exactly what happened as I went out, she said it was probably because the dosing was off or something trying to calm me down. I can't help but to wonder if this was fully an accident after I may have seemed "difficult" wanting a different drug than the one I had the bad reaction to the time before or if this was a sadistic , cruel punishment that could be played off as an accident to get back at me for not being a submissive, obedient subject. I hope not , but these days you never know what kind of people are holding your life in their hands.
