DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…read more One of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a handyman service. I scheduled an appointment specifically to have a TV mounted with the wires concealed. I explained exactly what I needed ahead of time through Yelp Messenger, so there should have been absolutely no confusion about the scope of the job. The day of the appointment, they started texting me asking the same questions I had already answered--all of which were clearly visible in our Yelp conversation. Then they actually showed up without the equipment or materials needed to conceal the wires and told me they couldn't complete the job. So why show up in the first place? If you knew exactly what the job required before the appointment, there is no excuse for arriving completely unprepared to do it. This was a complete waste of my time and an incredibly frustrating experience from start to finish. If you're looking to have a TV professionally mounted and your wires concealed, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would never use Tony's Handyman again.

EDIT: The company experienced issues with Google Voice and they didn't receive the last messages…read more The owner, Gabriel, called directly, apologized, and wanted to rectify the situation ASAP. Company came the same day to fix the metal door. The company does fantastic work. My cellar door was broken into and I needed it fixed. The technician/owner recommended that I get a large circular lock and he said that it would take hours to cut through. The gates were fixed and they did a wonderful job. Price was very reasonable, given it was almost the next day after our initial contact. However, my main issue with the company is their lack of communication and follow through. I had another issue with a metal door. The representative said he would come back to fix it. I had an inspection coming up and the previous inspector cited me for a broken door. I tried to contact the same person several times. He said "we are busy but I will get to you." Weeks went by and I texted him weekly. He continuously responded that he would get to it eventually. Inspection came and I was cited once again for the broken door. My last text was to please notify me if they could fix it or I will go somewhere else. NO RESPONSE. Common courtesy would be indicate that you can't do it. TL:DR : Work is fantastic. communication and follow through is horrible.

It was based off of what the office says. three minutes into it they said the office told me to tell you to replace the whole motor and they charge me $80 for a 3 minute visit. These two tech guys didn't do any kind of testing of the door, electrical, motor. It was all based on what the office tells them what to do. I said, let me to speak to your boss. He said everything is by text with the Boss who is Gabriel. I couldn't even speak to him on the phone then when I wanted to put in a new motor in they charge me $595 but he said they might charge another $80 to tighten up the springs on the sides of the garage door so I said no because you gave me one price to make it work and now you coming up with other prices they might charge me. when I got upset with him the Mexican guy he said it's not my company I don't make the rules very removed non-caring. He was removed from putting his name in front of the company the whole visit. I even told the mexican worker I will leave you a bad review after I pay this $80 he said go right ahead. Removed again. I wanted to speak to his boss I couldn't text only. Disgusting company.

However, NNJ Handyman Group was the only company that provided a good quote for both options. I ultimately chose NNJ Handyman Group, and I'm very glad I did. Ramon delivered outstanding work--he didn't just replace the entire exterior framing, he also waterproofed and insulated the windows before reframing them, which shows the level of care he puts into every detail. I was so impressed with his workmanship that I hired him on the spot for two additional projects. He completed both with the same professionalism and skill, and I couldn't be happier with the results. White-Glove Service from Start to Finish!…read more We had an excellent experience with DAS Furniture Assembly & Installation, and I can't recommend them highly enough. They built custom shelving for a built-in storage closet used to support heavy glassware and china for events and hosting. From the very beginning, Dean, the owner, stood out immediately. While several handyman companies responded to my inquiry, Dean was the only one who offered a complimentary site visit so his team could fully understand the scope of the project and take precise measurements of the existing shelving. That alone gave me confidence that DAS would take our project seriously. Dean was extremely responsive and communicative every step of the way. After the site visit, the quote we received felt thoughtful, fair, and clearly tailored to our needs, not a generic estimate. As the workplace coordinator, I truly appreciated how easy it was to coordinate details like insurance, loading dock access, and a very specific installation timeline. DAS worked seamlessly with our schedule and completed the entire project within a week, at a time that minimized disruption to the office. The quote, invoice, and payment process were all clear, straightforward, and professional, which made everything stress-free. While a member of the DAS team handled the consultation, Dean himself came on installation day, completed the work, cleaned as he went, and even disposed of the old shelving. The attention to detail and care taken with our office space really reflected a white-glove level of service. Dean is friendly, professional, clearly very experienced, and it's obvious from speaking to him that DAS handles a wide range of office logistics and setup projects with skill and pride. The finished shelving is sturdy, beautifully done, and exactly what we needed. Outstanding experience from start to finish! I'll absolutely be using DAS again for future projects and recommend them without hesitation. Thank you Dean and team for making my job easier and delivering such high-quality results!
