However, without notice, they placed me with a "floating" dentist that is not covered by my Delta Dentist insurance. WHY????? This was purposely done and they charged me whatever they wanted. Sad that the clients needs were highly abused. As a result, just for cleaning and X-rays ONLY, I was at THEIR financial mercy and they overcharged me an exuberant amount of money, way over $3000. Per Delta, some of the charges (at least 4 in my account) were part of the service already charged. Why were those codes added separately? Thank God I checked. No bueno. Just sending the consumer a quick reminder that though the place looks decent, the "nice" fast talking staff is NOT really looking out for you. I highly "do not" recommend this place. BEWARE!

I really feel scammed out of my money as I paid out of pocket for a dental cleaning service. In all my previous services that were paid through insurance I received a fluoride cleaning. In this last experience I spent over $150. If I can find my receipt I will update this post, but the dentist took a really long time to see me. Which is fine by me I get it... when he finally got to see me he literally spent 5 minutes to look at my teeth and the dentist assistant flossed my teeth. No fluoride whatsoever. I was their last patient and you can tell he was rushing to close the place....I'm not a person to argue or debate but when I notice these things. I know not ever come back and support these places. Another thing I should mention is the dentist told me my insurance was not going to pay for my wisdom teeth to be removed, so he recommended me place to go to. Whatever right , maybe this is not totally his fault. At the same time I have been a patient of his for 15+ years. Most recently I had all four wisdom teeth pulled, and the surgery was so easy and went so well that I might have been cured of my dental work fears! That's a big claim, I know, but Dr Turgeon and his team brought a great energy. He said "this is easier than a cleaning" and somehow it was. My post-op has been remarkably easy as well, hardly any swelling and minimal pain. (I'm sure that varies from person to person, but I was expecting a much harder time than I had.) The only "bad" at this office is that there is sometimes a very long wait in the lobby and then in the chairs. It's a very small office so that's annoying, but the trade off is quality of care, so I think it's worth it.

Throughout the entire procedure, he kept me fully informed and painstakingly ensured I wasn't experiencing a single moment of pain or discomfort. Because I grind my teeth, my natural teeth are a bit on the smaller side, which meant it took some extra time and meticulous effort to resize and reshape the new crown to align perfectly with my jaw. I tend to avoid confrontation, and I think Dr. Patrick picked up on that. He looked me straight in the eye and encouraged me to speak up if anything felt even a tiny bit off, insisting that it had to be absolutely perfect to protect my bite and jaw alignment long-term. I really appreciated that extra push. Truthfully, I might have held my tongue and settled for "good enough" otherwise. (In hindsight, that's probably what happened with my former dentist in Irvine who did my original crown.) The difference in quality between this crown and my first one is night and day. The more offices I called, the more a quick trip across the border to Tijuana for cheap dental work--as a friend suggested--started looking like a sane, viable option. Luckily, I was saved from figuring out those logistics when I stumbled upon Bello Dental in Montebello. Not only did they offer manageable pricing for out-of-pocket patients, but their stellar reviews across both Yelp and Google backed it up. From the start, booking was a breeze; the receptionist was kind, knowledgeable, and highly accommodating. The actual visit went just as smoothly, despite the fact that I arrived as a bumbling bundle of nerves. In fact, I was so anxious that I accidentally bit my poor dental hygienist's finger during the initial exam. I was mortified, but she was an absolute sweetheart about it, calmly explaining every step of the process and even reassuring me that the X-rays exposed me to no more radiation than stepping out into the sun. When it was time for the procedure, Dr. Erica injected the numbing agent and gently removed the remaining pieces of my cracked crown. She took a mold for the lab, and then crafted a temporary resin crown to protect the tooth in the meantime. Throughout the entire process, she was calm, patient, and thoroughly professional, constantly checking in to ensure I wasn't in any pain. She was incredibly meticulous about aligning the height of the temporary crown perfectly with my bite. You can tell she is a woman of precision who takes immense pride in her craft and her patients' comfort. We did X-rays even though my family dentist already sent theirs over(which is fine because maybe they want inspect further.) They said I needed a root canal and told me to wait outside for a quote. That's when the service started going downhill. I was quoted over $1000 after insurance, they were going to charge my insurance plus me paying $1000 cash. I felt like the price was unreasonable since I did a estimate on my insurances website so I said I'll have to think about it. Immediately on the spot they offered a 25% discount, good for today only. After that happened I knew that they were doing shady practices and declined. They further said what price I will be fine with doing the procedure today and they will ask the doctor to see if he will be okay with. I declined since I thought the whole process is bad practice. I then asked for my x-rays so I can show another clinic, they said they would e-mail it but I never got it. Lol. At the end, they asked me for payment for my deductible - all while charging 3% extra because I chose to pay with credit card. lol.
