The entire staff made me feel at home and comfortable, but I want to single out the following for their extraordinary service: 1) Anna Moy (OD) was so warm, friendly, and oh so knowledgeable in what she does and made sure "all the bases were covered" during my eye exam. She made sure my eyes were focused at the highest level. 2) Gina (Lab Manager) was also very warm, friendly, and oh so knowledgeable in what she does and made sure before I left the office that I was totally satisfied with my new eye glass prescription and for my new eye glass frames. Because of her great financial expertise, I was able to purchase 2 pairs of eyeglasses. 3) Judy (Office Manager) was also very warm, friendly, and oh so knowledgeable with the office procedures. That is very important in her position as Office Manager because she oversees the entire office. She is usually the first one you see when you sign in so her smile and beautiful approach are very important, especially if you are a new patient, though I am not. Dr. Timko expertly and accurately diagnosed my issue in less than 10 minutes. I walked out the same day with a pair of contact lenses that completely corrected my vision problem. It was that easy! The staff is friendly and courteous, and I love the decor inside her new location in Somerville. I had such a great experience on my first visit that I came back a second time with my 9 yo daughter, who ended up needing her first pair of glasses and walked away with a very cute pair that she was excited about. I never completed my exam without knowing all the details. Dr. Brian Rosenblatt retuned about 2 years or so ago and I felt dismissed, uninformed, and what's worse is that during my exam he took his mask off and had it off for a while during COVID-19. It took about 12 minutes for my exam to start after my scheduled appointment time. I'm total I was in and out in 45 minutes. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They are taking cleanliness serious and anything that is touched they sanitize. The equipment seemed modern and clean. I do not know enough about the equipment but seemed modern to me. I would say there is a very soft persuasion to purchase frames or contacts if you need them. Absolutely no one was pushy. The pre exam was smooth and quick. They eye doctor was friendly and explained everything he was doing. Overall it was a great experience. I would give it 4 or 5 stars but not sure what that means for an eye exam.

They don't seem to care really - just want to make a sale. The selection of frames is pretty weak. Like they all look alike. The stylish ones on the posters in the store ARE NOT IN THE STORE. I literally drove home and brought back old frames from a pair of sunglasses I had and had them put the lenses in. These were like old people frames or a lot of the same shape/size. Service example- they yell FROM ACROSS THE STORE at you like the second you open the door to sign in - the sign in process was pretty confusing/unorganized. They aren't clear that the add ons to the exams aren't required. For the glasses, I wasn't explained the different lens options just shown a sheet and told to pick which ones I wanted. Other places talk you through the lens options. I needed a thinner lens- I had to ask for it, it wasn't offered to me initially. All in all, I needed glasses replaced and based on past experience with Pearle offices I picked this one because it was close. I should have gone to LensCrafters like I wanted to as it has been 2 full weeks and they aren't expected back for another week. I could have walked them to the Luxottica factory in 2 weeks or had my glasses in a week from a competitor. What's done is done. I'll tell you what, I won't go back after I get these glasses. ‍
