Concerned, we realized we had not looked into this schools security measures. We contacted administration. After going over the response we realized our public school system was doing more, SRO's, electronic locks, etc. We decided we were going drop our toddler from their program less then 2 weeks from our application 3 months before the following school year began. This is where the administration went dark. We had already handed over our FULL years tuition with our application. After two weeks of no info on our refund status after countless emails and calls. I met with the principal. I realized he was adamant about keeping a HUGE portion of our families funds even though our toddler has never used the facilities and we were dropping 3 months before. As reasonable people we expected to lose a deposit. This was not the case. PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR POLICIES before even beginning enrollment. They will hold as steadfast to these as tightly as they will your families funds. No matter the circumstance as Mr. Humphries made this very clear during our meeting. I cannot speak on the learning environment or educational staff as we only had the most unfortunate situation of dealing with the principal and admissions staff. If you enroll your child here and have any concerns regarding safety my hope is that your concerns will not be handled as callously as our families. Goodluck.

This is not a play based learning school, it is a merit based school and the kids will advance in grade and letter classes as they progress in their learning. Lake Castle isn't for everyone, so listen very clearly at orientation as to what kind of school you are putting your children in. This school does have a zero tolerance policy on being disrespectful to other children, faculty and staff. They also do not tolerate any sexually explicit talk or behavior from any students. I read some of the comments below it seems they maybe misunderstood this concept in the orientation. Best part is that if there's ever an issue, the owner, Ms. Lisa, will personally take care of it. She's very down to earth and understanding. We still feel like we can call/text her even in the evenings. I miss this place. I especially love the cute homemade presents we get from the kids for holidays and the little parties they put on. The Easter bunny and Santa comes to visit and they take Fall and Spring pictures. Also, when our kids left, they made a going away binder full of cute pictures throughout the years. The school tried to suggest that he was suddenly autistic and/or needed to be put on drugs. I was in the process of fixing the behavior problem when they called my wife up to kick him out of their school on a Monday. They did not follow the behavior plan which included calling me if at any time was to out of line. We then enrolled him in Ponchartrain Elementary(the local public school). His behavior problem is now fixed, he is happy as a clam, but I find out that he is behind in his studies. Turns out that I was paying Cedarwood thousands of dollars to get less of an education than what he could have gotten at Ponchartrain. I have since heard this story from several other parents at Ponchartrain. They seem to drum out anyone that isn't a lemming, and why on earth was I paying thousands of dollars to this school. I have learned my lesson.

Katie has always kept me updated on her and made sure she was well taken care of. She will soon be going with ms. Hannah who watches the one year olds. she is so sweet and you can tell how much she enjoys her job and how much love she has for these babies! This daycare also does pictures regularly with professional photographers which I appreciate so much with being a single mother and not having the time go out and get them done myself. All of the teachers work with the children as well, and make holidays special for them! My kids love it here!
