In response to Isabelle G's review:…read more At what point in history did our society reach such a low where one person could slander and accuse another person's character without any repercussions, all in the name of righteousness? In a Court of Law one repeating what others have said or seen is called Heresy. Yet you so easily throw this lady under the bus without a shred of hard evidence. Please provide the links to the two 2015 Articles in NOLA.COM so I can read for myself. Your righteous indignation is so lofty, did you at ANY TIME go to this lady yourself and inquire if these accusations were true? Are you aware of Matthew 18:15, which states very plainly, "If your brother sins, go and show him his fault IN PRIVATE; if he listens to you, you have won your brother." I can find nowhere in scripture where it says, "If your brother sins, go and POST ON THE INTERNET FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE FOREVER AND EVER." You should be ashamed of yourself for putting something like this on the Internet. If God forbid the accusations were true, I would hope that her family and her Christian Family at Church and School could help and assist her, NOT humiliate her by posting on the Internet her short comings. I'm so happy to know that you are so Perfect and Sinless. Maybe I can be lucky enough to be able to stand behind you on the Day of Reckoning before our Lord and Maker. That way I'll have a front row seat when you are struck with a lightening bolt for your thoughtless and self-absorbed "act of kindness" for all to see on Yelp! If I were this teacher, I would take legal action against this Isabelle G and the other parents for invasion of privacy and defamation of character.

Many of OLL (not LOL) faculty and staff are homeowners in Old Mandeville, which helps form a stable and secure environment for the little ones. Speaking of faculty and staff I am extremely blessed to live on the same street as this sweet, loving, VERY dedicated, mother, wife, and religion teacher. Did you know that she even has a statue is her front garden to honor our blessed mother? What more could a school ask for in a religion teacher? It's an all out crab war!

I have had my child going there for 2.5 years. The first two years were ok. The third year we ran…read moreinto a behavior problem with our child. The school tried to suggest that he was suddenly autistic and/or needed to be put on drugs. I was in the process of fixing the behavior problem when they called my wife up to kick him out of their school on a Monday. They did not follow the behavior plan which included calling me if at any time was to out of line. We then enrolled him in Ponchartrain Elementary(the local public school). His behavior problem is now fixed, he is happy as a clam, but I find out that he is behind in his studies. Turns out that I was paying Cedarwood thousands of dollars to get less of an education than what he could have gotten at Ponchartrain. I have since heard this story from several other parents at Ponchartrain. They seem to drum out anyone that isn't a lemming, and why on earth was I paying thousands of dollars to this school. I have learned my lesson.

The girls graduated with top honors and excelled in high school and now college due to the foundational education they received at Lake Castle. They teach hard work, dedication and life skills not taught at public schools. They also are one of the few schools that do NOT Teach Common Core. If you are looking for a school that is not education driven, then go to another public or private school in the area. This is not a play based learning school, it is a merit based school and the kids will advance in grade and letter classes as they progress in their learning. Lake Castle isn't for everyone, so listen very clearly at orientation as to what kind of school you are putting your children in. This school does have a zero tolerance policy on being disrespectful to other children, faculty and staff. They also do not tolerate any sexually explicit talk or behavior from any students. I read some of the comments below it seems they maybe misunderstood this concept in the orientation. Mr. Butera is very clear about his expectations up front before anyone pays even so much as a registration fee.
