Arrived on a Friday night around 1830. The restaurant was busy but I had no problem being shown to a table. The server was friendly and attentive, and appreciated that I made an attempt at German while ordering. The menus are in Deutsch and English. I ordered the Pad Ga Prao with chicken, extra spicy, and a glass of the house white wine. The wine arrived immediately, and the food about five minutes thereafter, very hot and fresh, with a large side dish of jasmine rice. I was impressed.
I thought the food was very tasty, appropriately salty, with enough sauce remaining to be absorbed by the rice. Was it "extra spicy," as I had paid for? No. Not to American standards, anyway, where anything greater than "medium" is likely to induce sweat on my brow. To that end, I can't even call it spicy. A mild-medium rating would be appropriate for my US-calibrated senses. There was chili paste at the table, and that added great flavor and a bit of heat. Next time I will not order "extra spicy," and just add the chili.
The restaurant was fairly quiet, and seemed to be hosting couple on dates, adult families, or friends. There were a few of us going solo.
Would I come back? Absolutely! The food was hot, fresh, and tasted great. I can add the heat myself. Service was perfectly acceptable. Enjoy! read more
