Deleted my old review because now that I think of it, my end result in my experience with the shop…read moreowner Nick was terrible. I had to stop getting tattooed here because he started acting strange. He told me the last time I got a tattoo from him after the session that I should have some respect for his wife when she comes into the shop. She had came in earlier on in the session but I didn't think anything of it. I accidentally butt dialed him one night I was out at like 1am and that same time after the session he told me not to call him late like that. I was like wtf because I looked at my call log it was definitely a butt dial it was like 10 seconds long. After that I thought that was so strange and never ended up coming to his shop again. Then couple years later I saw that he had an Instagram and someone asked me where I had got a couple of my tattoos from so I was gonna tag him only to find out he had blocked me. Wtf? I am not a groupie by far and I had gotten about six tattoos from him previously even before he had this shop when he was tattooing out of Sudden Rush. Anyways this shop is located in Waipahu on the second level. I haven't been there in years like I said and the last time I was there he had just opened it. They've been in business for a while now. His work is pretty good, but just thought I'd share my weird ass encounter.

Artist/Owner Nick Nakashima is an amazing artist! You wont find any flashboards in his shop. Only…read morehis portfolio book of some of his work. He is all about custom work...as how every tattoo should be. But if there is a portrait or drawing you would want to do, Nick will work his magic and do an awesome job! He has an incredible mind for every type of art you want on your skin..black and grey...color...japanese...animation..portraits...tribal...anything! And you won't be paying some crazy Waikiki prices either. His prices are more than resonable for the outstanding tattooing that he does!! And his shop is very clean through out...and his air conditioning is set on cold...so if you have thin skin...bring a jacket..:) So give Nick or Jo a call to set an appointment. Walk in customers are welcome if he is not busy..but that's rare.

Have you ever just needed a tattoo?…read more Well, today was my day. I needed a tattoo. My wife and I went to another shop a few months ago but that shop was closed today. I jumped on yelp and put my feelers out and yelp actually sent messages to several shops for me. Aloha Tattoo responded within just a couple minutes. I walked in and Josh knew who I was because the owner called him and prepped him for what I wanted. Josh quickly got to work on my design. We discussed some color and we were off to the races. Josh was quick, efficient, and his line work is great. If you're visiting the island, Aloha Tattoo isn't in the tourist area but if you're military or live near Schofield then they are in your back yard. I'll be back! Mahalo!!

This tattoo shop was recommended to us by my cousins who recently visited and got matching tattoos (they recommended Ash). As soon as we landed, I made an appointment for a free consultation. Unfortunately, Ash was not available on the day of our departure, so instead we consulted and made an appointment with Sean (Kluch). Sean was great! He exuded good vibes and a chill manner. He was a stand up dude who quoted us a reasonable price for the work that was to be done. My daughter ended up getting the phrase "your different is your beautiful" tattooed on her forearm. The end results turned out great! Overall, my daughter was pleased with the work and promised to come back on our next trip. My wife and I were also pleased with the cleanliness, artist professionalism, pricing transparency, and the final quality of the artwork. Till next time, mahalo!

love this local shop! I have had my fair share of tattoo…read moreexperiences with different shops around the island & this shop right here is probably by far my favorite one. We stumbled upon them during a fundraiser event and decided to go back to them on a whim one day. Let me just say that every artist there is pretty cool and willing to help everyone out. My go to artist there is Nolan who pretty much has done all of my recent tattoos. SUPER helpful, detail oriented, and always puts out his best work for his clients. What really caught my attention (besides the fact that majority of his style is something I'm interested in) was his hospitality towards me and my friend. always made sure we were completely comfortable with all our tattoos. From the placement, his thought process and even the price points. Solid local braddah. Check out his IG @stabbynolan to get ideas of what he does and maybe even message him to get some ideas flowing. 10/10 always recommended this place !

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went for an in-person consultation the beginning of 2020 and…read morediscussed what I would like to have done in detail with plenty of pictures of examples. I knew it was going to be a big task as I was planning an entire sleeve so I needed to make sure he was up for it and it was in his realm. The previous person I talked to said he was unable to so I wanted to make sure in person. When I went to see him, he rushed me through my explanation saying "yeah yeah, I can do it. No problem." I felt like he seemed confident so I decided to go through him. He made me pay a $150 deposit and we scheduled for a month out. He told me that 2-3 days before the appointment, he would send a pic to make sure we were on the same page and make any adjustments I needed. The day before, I still hadn't heard from him so I asked for a follow up picture. It took him a couple hrs to reply, likely because he hadn't thought about it yet. When he finally sent it, he chose like 2 pictures he wanted to do and they weren't even what I wanted prioritized, which I made clear at our consultation. I asked him to switch things around and he said it would look dumb to do it the way I wanted but he never mentioned that when I went to his office. He continued to put me down while I was trying to remain polite and tell him his ideas were good, just not what I was going for. Then he said he was unable to work with me (after talking for about 10 minutes) and refused to give me my deposit back because of the work he put in. Mind you, the "work" he put in was a photoshop of my arm and a couple pictures of his choosing that didn't quite give the vibe I wanted. I had no idea what his end goal was and he was completely rude. I feel like he takes advantage of people often because it was so easy for him to write me off. I will never go to him, nor recommend him. His Instagram is deeshuistyle and he goes by D. Shui. If you value having a good experience and great end product while being included in the decision to alter your body forever, then don't go to him. **EDIT: You definitely took my money and were unwilling to work with me. You may deal with endless clients and forget them, but I have only had tattoos by a handful of artists and I'll never forget someone who was completely rude. Maybe no one will listen to this review and maybe they will. Either way, I just want to help other unsuspecting potential clients make the right decision about their body.
