I went into the store looking for concrete circle yard blocks to go around 3 plants I had planted at the enter of my property. When I walked into the store they were very kind and happy to see me. When I told the first employee what I was looking for she even asked if I was the one that had called about the yard blocks. The other employees that assisted me also asked if I was the one that had called. One employee showed me what they had. They didn't have exactly what I was looking for so another employee and went above and beyond to call other garden and hardware stores to see if they had what I was looking for. I decided to go ahead and purchase what they had the employee that made the calls even helped to arrange the yard blocks to see if they were big enough for my purposes. I decided they would work so they rung up my purchase (they were even cheaper then the other hardware stores nice bonus) and they even loaded my 27 yard blocks in the back of my vehicle for me. Great place to shop for your home repair/improvement supplies. Springtime planting season they have a good selection of locally grown flowers and bedding plants. Pride Home Center cuts laminate countertops in house. Also repair window screens. Locally owned since 1989 read more

I purchased a new STIHL Weed eater from Pride Home center last year they are a STIHL Dealer I took it in today needing help loading the string the or even explaining how the guy in charge of the STIHL equipment told me he could not touch my equipment it was against the law. Showed up at 6:51 pm and before I got to door some man sticks his head out & yells we're closed, I asked what time you close he says right now. What an in professional and dis courteous employee. I will never come here again!!!! Lowe's here I come! I strongly discourage shopping here unless you want to be treated like trash! read more

They are fairly good have most of the stuff you need like a small hometown lumberyard wish some other selection was a little more but they do have good deal prices! read more

My husband and I have been tolerating the poor customer service, lack -luster attitude and frequent rudeness from actual managers at pride home center for years. The last straw was last year : we had purchased a seasonal item that turned out to be too small. We tried to return it but they didn't have the correct size & wouldn't have it until the following spring. An employee told us to bring our receipt & item to swap the items in the spring. We did exactly that, but it had to get final approval from a manager. The manager practically yelled at us in front of other customers, saying its been more than a month, store policy, etc. She was unwilling to listen or help smooth out a simple return / swap. We just left, very embarassed. Just today, husband went to buy a floodlight. He waited for about 10 minutes in line while the manager was busy "not helping " another customer. Another employee finally came over and said, " I can help you - sorry to keep you waiting ". The manager said to the employee, "Don't be sorry!" After this pathetic lack of regard display, the other customer turned to my husband & said "I don't know why I come here - I've got cards for Lowes & Home Depot. Now I'll just drive the distance to those places rather than put up with this. " Some employees try to be helpful & polite. Not so with some managers. The previous review sounds very typical. We found a product on Pride Home Center's website and called to see if they had it in stock. We were told that they had 5 in stock so I drove all the way across town to pick it up. When I walked in the store I didn't see a single employee. I went to where the product was on the shelf and they only had 1 in stock. After much searching, I finally found an employee who was in no way distinguishable from the customers. She told me that she was sorry but their inventory must just be mixed up. I told her that I had driven clear across town because I was told that they had it over the phone. She finally agreed to do some digging in the back. She came back out (finally) and told me that they had a pallet of the product in the back and she would get me what I needed. About ten minutes later she emerged from the back and said, "nevermind, they haven't checked the merchandise in yet so you can't get it." At that point I told the employee how disappointed I was with the store and that I would be very reluctent to return to which she replied, "oh well, sorry". I went in search of a Manager to see if he/she could get the product for me. I was finally directed to a Manager and told him my story. He said that he would go in the back and get it for me. I waited about 15 more minutes and he finally came out with the product. At this point I had been in the store for almost an hour to pick up 3 items. Their prices are better than the places on the South side of town but i'm not sure it's worth the drive anyway. read more
