I have been coming to this office for many years and I can tell you, this office is top notch, A-1, and definitely the best. I have seen a number of dentist, from Dr. Dill, Dr. Garey to my most recent visit with a fairly new dentist, and he was remarkably comforting and extremely skilled for the bridge replacement I needed. Kyla, assisted in the care and was extremely caring and very sweet. She made the temporary bridge which fits very comfortable. Over the years I have had oral care twice a year, and there has been a number of different hygienist and they have all been wonderful. Most recently, Alesya, who was absolutely great. You will not go wrong with this Dental Clinic. Absolutely the best!

He stated a filling would not hold due to the likelihood of the filling not adhering to my tooth. I trusted his recommendation and proceeded with the process of coming in several times for the crown. 1st Evaluation. 2nd visit: crown prep and temp crown placement 3. Permanent crown placement. I paid half the cost of the crown out of pocket $773 at my eval appointment. Another dentist performed the procedures, not Dr Dill. After my permanent crown placement. I went to check out at the front lobby. The receptionist told me my insurance did not cover my crown. She stated the claim and X-rays did not sufficient for payment. I reached out to my insurance company and the rep stated, their reviewing dentist determined the information provided did not does not show structure loss that cannot be repaired with routine filling. I reached out to the insurance claims person at his office regarding resubmitting photos, thorough explanation and x rays proving the necessity crown placement. She stated she sent in all the documents, my insurance still did not approve the claim. I received the a bill for the remaining balance of $686. A total of $1459. Therefore, Dr Dill and his office could not provide adequate documentation to justify the necessity of the crown placement to another dentist to approve a claim. FYI this is my first crown that could have been treated with a filling, if that failed a crown could have been placed after. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTAL OFFICE TO MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY.

The dentist came in immediately and painfully injected her, as planned, with a second anesthetic, and started his procedure. The assistant then agreed that the nitrous oxide was off. On July 17th (the next day), after discussion with the office manager, since they would not let me talk to the denist, she agreed not charge me for the gas. I asked for a bill, which was sent to me. That bill showed a $495 credit. 2. Regarding that credit, my wife was told on the day of the procedure that we would receive a check for the difference. Although I expected a charge card credit, we did not receive a check or a charge card credit. I called on August 20th, 2024 to inquire about the refund. I was told it would be sent "within 30 days from today". Since this was now som 35 days after the procedure and a complete billing cycle, I want everyone to know that they will not issue ANY refund until you call them. 3. Nothing was a pleasant experience, whereas our regular dentist has a pleasant comforting demeanor through his entire office. Poor "bedside" and poor atmosphere.

The consultation went fine, although I felt Dr. Spann seemed a bit cocky and barely looked in my mouth. The nurse staff had a weird sorority vibe around him, but everyone was very nice and I moved ahead with the surgery. Before I was taken into the operating room I discussed my medication allergies with the nurse (I only have two, one being amoxicillin, which makes me break out in horrible hives). They explained the procedure to me and asked if I had any concerns. I said not really, only that I have a birth control implant in my left arm, and therefore would prefer to have the anesthesia IV in my right arm. She said that was perfect and we made our way to the surgery room. We had yet another conversation about my implant during the walk down the hall, and I demonstrated how you can feel in through my skin. I laid down for surgery and a mask was put over my face, the laughing gas caused me to drift away and I heard them talking about putting the IV in. I felt the nurse touching my left arm and was jerked awake as she tied the rubber tourniquet directly over my implant in my left arm!! It felt as though it was pushed through my skin. I was able to say "not the left one," then heard her say "oh right, oops!" and I was pulled under. My boyfriend drove me home and went back out to get my antibiotics and pain pills. When he returned, the antibiotic they had prescribed me was amoxicillin! I told him I was very allergic and I went back to sleep. It took him about three hours to get everything sorted out with the pharmacy and nurses at COFS (who simply said "oops" again about the mistake). Because of this careless mix up I wasn't able to take my full rounds of antibiotics my first recovery day. Following the surgery in October, my arm felt consistently sore and uncomfortable. My period had began a few days before the surgery and didn't stop until the beginning of February. I was finally able to get an appointment with my gynecologist, suspecting that the nurse had in fact damaged the Nexaplon implant. It was removed yesterday, bent and creased. My gynecologist said that's not something that happens, and was surely a result of this nurse ignoring me. I understand mistakes happen, but I felt I wasn't listened to at all by these medical "professionals," and that they were only going through the motions of the job. Also, six whole weeks after the surgery, my chin and lips were still numb. I understand nerve damage can happen in this procedure, and my nerves did slowly repair and feeling has returned, but it made me wonder what other mistakes occurred while I was unconscious...

I have had my implant done here and had a great experience! I brought my boyfriend here to get his implant done as well. Before we were going to start this process, We signed up and got him insurance, I'm no expert on insurance, but I know how to read and I read that extractions were covered immediately not 100% but 80% of it would be covered. During our consultation with the office they told me his insurance would not cover the extraction or anything needed at this time. I felt a little dumb but played it off like I'm not insurance expert. I knew it wouldn't cover anything else but kept reading extractions were covered. We have him scheduled for the bone graft this upcoming Friday, well last Wednesday he started having terrible pain, by Friday he was going to rip this tooth out of his head and this office was closed those three days for the holidays. So I had to get him in to get the tooth pulled somewhere else that Friday, lo and behold the lady At this dental office came back saying Oh, your insurance does cover the extractions up to 80% so all you owe is $60 today.. I thought to myself wow so Dr. Cannon's office must've not even checked.. Fast forward to today I call to explain what happened and when do we need to come back in for a bone graft?.. She rudely tells me on the phone oh, we're not going to just cut him back open and do a bone graft. He'll have to do that when he gets the implant... I have no idea what that means and I just sit in silence on the phone because I'm thinking to myself is that not the next step for the implant because that's what you were going to do on Friday is pull the tooth and put a bone graft in and that bone graft has to heal for a certain amount of time.. I expressed to the girl on the phone that I don't know what that next step means and she seemed to not even care to talk to me about it or explain anything to me, because she absolutely did not. And at this point, the receptionist, both of them alone have put such a bad taste in my mouth. I've decided to not use this office at all.. So moving forward, double check your insurance because they're just gonna try to charge whatever they want, without checking your insurance. And they do not have good customer service.. At all. I'm about to spend THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS here and you're going to act like I'm a problem questioning what is being done? i dreaded everytime I had to call because of how they made me feel. One is more nice than the other but still both not willing to actually help your problems on the phone. Dr. Cannon and the girls in the back are great, But the receptionist just lost Having us as patients here. And when they read this, they probably won't even care just like how they made me feel on the phone. Hope this helps someone who isn't financially well off and made to feel dumb by this office. You're not the only one!

Let me preface this review by saying something that is incredibly difficult for me to admit:…read more I am terrified of the dentist. As an adult, I have spent years paying the price for something I didn't understand as a child. I have experienced excruciating tooth pain, abscesses, broken and severely decayed teeth, and years of anxiety surrounding dental care. And unfortunately, my fear became its own vicious cycle. The worse my teeth became, the more afraid I was to seek help. The more I tried to take care of them, sometimes the more painful it became. There is a tremendous amount of shame that can come with having bad teeth. I have carried that shame for years. So when I walked into a dental office, I wasn't just walking in as a patient with a bad tooth. I was walking in carrying years of fear, embarrassment, pain, and memories of not knowing how to take care of myself. On Thursday, July 31, 2026, I was eating a handful of sunflower kernels when one became lodged in one of my severely damaged wisdom teeth. The pain was so intense that my husband rushed me to the emergency room. We were able to get an emergency dental appointment scheduled for Monday, August 3. I was terrified. I mean shaking-in-my-boots, heart-pounding, trying-to-convince-myself-not-to-run-out-the-door terrified. I expected to be judged. I expected someone to look at my teeth and make me feel ashamed. I expected to hear the things I've spent years telling myself: "You should have taken better care of your teeth." "Why did you let it get this bad?" "You should have come in sooner." Instead... I was treated like a human being. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with dignity, patience, respect, and compassion. The hygienist was absolutely incredible. She was gentle, understanding, patient, and reassuring. She never made me feel embarrassed about my teeth. She never made me feel like I was a bad person because I was afraid. For the first time in a very long time, I felt safe in a dental chair. And that may sound like a small thing to someone who isn't afraid of the dentist. To me, it was enormous. I later had my tooth extracted, and the dentist was equally wonderful. Professional, kind, patient, compassionate, and genuinely caring. But what they gave me that day was more than dental treatment. They gave me a reason to believe I can finally face something I've been afraid of for most of my adult life. They didn't erase the years of dental problems I have struggled with. They did something almost as important. They helped remove some of the fear and shame surrounding them. I know I have a long road ahead of me with my dental health. I know there are things that need to be fixed, and I know that rebuilding my oral health won't happen overnight. But for the first time, I'm not looking at that road with nothing but fear. I'm looking at it thinking: Maybe I can do this. Maybe I can finally take care of the part of myself I was never taught how to care for. Maybe I don't have to be ashamed anymore. And maybe, just maybe, going to the dentist doesn't have to be terrifying. To the hygienist and dentist who cared for me that day: thank you. You may have simply been doing your jobs, but to me, you did something much bigger. You treated a scared woman with compassion when she desperately needed it. You didn't make me feel broken. You made me feel worth helping. For that, I will be forever grateful. If you're someone who is embarrassed about your teeth, afraid of the dentist, or has avoided dental care because you're terrified of being judged, please don't let that fear keep you from getting help. I almost did. My experience at Aspen Dental reminded me that there are people in the dental profession who understand that sometimes the patient sitting in their chair isn't just dealing with a toothache. They're dealing with a lifetime of fear. And sometimes, compassion is the first step toward healing. Aspen Dental, you have earned my trust. A+++ from one very nervous, very grateful, and very relieved patient. Aspen Dental #hixsontennessee #dentalcareinhixsontennessee #thankyouAspen#drkiannasimmons @drkiannasimmons

Because of that, Dr. Ankar actually came in on his day off specifically to evaluate what was going on. During that visit, he identified issues developing around two fillings I already had and made sure I was scheduled quickly to get everything taken care of. Today's visit was just as seamless. They are incredibly respectful of your time. The wait is minimal, they run on schedule, and you're not left sitting around wondering what's going on. That level of consideration alone sets them apart. From the moment you walk in, the tone is set perfectly. Tracie at the front desk is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. On the way out, she made sure everything was handled smoothly, and it's honestly refreshing to experience that level of customer service when so many places have let that standard slip. Megan was absolutely phenomenal. She has such a calming presence and takes the time to explain everything in a way that actually makes sense. You can tell she truly cares about the patient experience, not just going through the motions. Her attention to detail, her professionalism, and the way she makes you feel completely at ease genuinely elevate the entire visit. She's a huge part of why the experience feels so comfortable and positive. Dr. Ankar, as always, was exceptional. He's steady, reassuring, and clearly very skilled. Everything was handled efficiently, and I felt completely confident in his care from start to finish. What means the most to me is this: I've been a patient here since 2017, and before that, I went nearly 19 years without seeing a dentist. I was absolutely terrified my entire life of going. Walking into that first appointment at 42 years old, I carried a lot of fear and embarrassment with me. From that very first visit, Dr. Ankar and his team completely changed that for me. Not once have I ever been made to feel ashamed. Instead, they made me feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for. I'm 51, and that fear I carried for decades? Gone. Because of them, I don't dread going to the dentist anymore... I actually look forward to it!
