The local Price Chopper always has a fantastic deli section, the pizza and boneless wings are real good but the star of the show has to be the haddock fish fry. I doubt you could buy the stuff to make it for what they sell it for and it's so good. Current price is $7.99 for haddock fillet (8oz I believe), fries, coleslaw and condiments. I have been shopping at this store for years, even when it was P&C. We'll for the last few years you have a lovely young women in your floral department, Rhonda is her name with beautiful long hair and the most kindest and sweetest personality too! She is dedicated to her work and to her customer's as well. Any time I have ever come in day or night no matter what she is doing if she is not with a customer she greets you and is always willing to help me with anything I throw her way! Many of my friends with any special occasion, will and have Preferred to come and will continue to come see Rhonda with our special days! I am generally a fan of Price Chopper Supermarkets. I especially like shopping at their locations in Ogdensburg, Potsdam and Canton. Unfortunately their Massena location is an exception. Their employees that are stocking shelves are extremely helpful and friendly but their front end people and customer service people are often times confrontational and unfriendly. These people should "showcase" the store instead of arguing with customers and telling them they are wrong, especially when the customer was correct. My observations extend to the store manager with whom I have had at least one unpleasant encounter. In fact, when I mentioned that I was going to escalate a problem to the home office, his response was go ahead they will only send him an email and tell him to call me anyway. I did pursue my communication with the home office and specified that he not call me. Instead I did hear from a District Manager. Incorrect pricing and scanning is a large problem at the Massena location. The other day I was overcharged 50 Cents on one item. I paid for the item and brought my register tape to customer service booth. The young man behind the counter seemed upset with my problem. He checked the price and handed me 50 Cents without apology. I reminded him that a local law requires a refund plus 10 times the difference. He went into an inner office and I heard a voice say give him five dollars. He grudgingly went to the register and got five dollars. Still no apology for my inconvenience. He then gratuitously said "You know I didn't have to do this for you unless you insisted". I then became agitated with him and left the store very upset. This type of attitude makes me want to avoid this store and shop in other communities that are equidistant from my home. I hope that someday things will improve in customer service. read more

What a nice grocery store!! It was so clean and organized! The produce looked amazing and fresh. Staff was pleasant and friendly. My boyfriend and I got ourselves prepared burgers and they were so yummy! Prices were awesome. We got a lot for under $50. We loved their camping and Fourth of July displays. read more
