I had gotten laser on my stomach before from another clinic and it did not work. I was pretty upset so I went ahead and got electrolosis and it went away. I came to Sev with low expectations due to my previous laser experience at the other clinic. I walked in and I was not greeted by the front desk receptionist. I signed in with the Ipad. After my laser treatment- the front desk receptionist told me I was supposed to sign in with her... well you did not greet me when I walked in and you asked all the other patients in there to sign in with the IPad so I followed the lead since it is my first time here and I have no clue what I am supposed to do. Anyways- I got my treatment done. My nurse was amazing. I wasn't expecting this to work. But it has been 2 weeks and my hair is ACTUALLY starting to fall out. I never experienced this at the last clinic.... Anyways- I would absolutely love to buy a package for the 1.5 years, but I just started a testosterone treatment that will make me hairy and my doctor advised me to old off on laser right now. Overall machine experience was a 10/10. I recommend. It works.

I had a bad experience with the customer service at the SEV La Jolla location. I purchased multiple…read morepackages from SEV and during one of the sessions, the technician missed two specific areas on my back. This was clear from the pattern of hair growth on my back before the next session. I took a picture and showed it to the reception before my next session. I asked for a compensatory session for the areas that were missed. I was told that they can't address the issue and I need to send an email to lajolla@sevlaser.com, so that they can escalate it to the management. I sent two emails including the picture, but I never received a response. This is unacceptable from a customer service standpoint.

If you are here to get the results then La Jolla Cosmetic Laser Clinic & Dermatology truly delivers! Keep in mind Fraxel is going to hurt so much more than morpheus8 and there will be downtime to heal but for me that was a one time procedure and the result you get at the end is rewarding.

I was going to wait to write this review, however I am very pleased with my first two visits and will continue to update this review as the story unfolds. Highly recommend this office for your skincare and tattoo removal needs.

I contacted Cosmetic Laser Dermatology because I was interested in a specific cosmetic filler…read moretreatment and wanted basic pricing before scheduling. The experience was disappointing and, in my opinion, not transparent. I asked multiple times for pricing on a clearly defined request: two syringes of cheek filler, including common options such as Voluma, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Contour, or RHA 4. Instead of a meaningful estimate, I was told the price could range from $400 to $3,000. That range is so broad that it is almost meaningless. The real concern is that the practice then expects patients to pay a $250 consultation fee just to find out what the service may actually cost. I fully understand that a physician needs to evaluate anatomy, goals, product choice, and treatment planning before giving a final recommendation. But for common self-pay cosmetic injectables, a medical practice should be able to provide baseline pricing, including consultation fees, per-syringe pricing, and realistic treatment ranges before asking someone to pay for a consult. The staff member I spoke with was polite, and this review is not about the doctors' clinical skill. The physicians may be excellent. My concern is with the business policy and the lack of upfront pricing transparency. As someone who has worked in healthcare for many years, I found this approach troubling. Patients should not have to pay $250 just to get basic pricing information for a commonly performed cosmetic service. It creates mistrust and makes the financial side of the practice feel opaque and unfair. I chose not to move forward because I did not feel comfortable with the pricing process. I would encourage the practice to publish clear pricing ranges, train staff to answer basic cost questions, and provide patients with useful cost information before requiring a paid consultation.

I just have to come on here and give huge praise to my amazing surgeon, Dr. Torres!…read more I had Lipo 360 and a BBL done by Dr. Torres in February, I couldn't be happier with my results! The entire clinic team is so kind, and Dr. Torres is truly an artist. That kind of artistry is absolutely essential in cosmetic surgery, and not every surgeon has it. He's incredibly talented, meticulous, and patient. He even took extra time to fix the uneven, sloppy work from my previous surgeon. Now I finally have a beautifully sculpted, balanced silhouette. Every time I look in the mirror, I smile and feel so grateful. Before my surgery, I was super anxious about anesthesia -- I kept thinking, What if I don't wake up? What if I never see my kids again? That's why I decided to do awake lipo, and I'm so thankful I chose Dr. Torres. The procedure itself was honestly a breeze. You're just lying there, it almost feels like getting a massage, and by the time it's over, your body is beautifully contoured. If you're worried about pain, don't be. You won't feel a thing during the procedure. I know if I ever gain weight again, I'll be flying straight to San Diego to see Dr. Torres in a heartbeat. Thank you, Dr. Torres, for your amazing work! You are the best!! (Picture attached, I'm in my Halloween costume )

I cannot rave enough about my experience at Skin & Skinnier with Dr. Torres…read more Walking into such a major procedure like Lipo 360 with BBL, I'll admit I was nervous. But after doing extensive research and seeing literally zero negative comments about Dr. Torres, I felt confident I would be in safe hands. From the moment I arrived, Rachel and Jill at the front desk set the tone. Their bubbly, positive energy was genuine, not forced, and they went out of their way to connect with me and reassure me. That kind of vibe when you first walk in is priceless. The office itself is boutique-style but pristine, modern, organized, and very up-to-date. Dr. Torres himself is not only skilled but also cool. That matters because he made me feel like he truly understood what I was looking for and he wasn't applying a one-size-fits-all approach. He spent time explaining, reassuring, and making me feel completely confident in his plan. On the day of surgery, everything flowed with great energy. I felt cared for the entire time. Dr. Torres even spent an extra hour on my procedure just to make sure my results were perfect, above and beyond what I expected. Healing was smooth, but what stood out most was how attentive he and his team were when I had a minor wound issue (no fault of Dr. Torres) but just a personal healing situation. Instead of brushing it off, Dr. Torres cleared space in his schedule so I could come in every three days until it was resolved. That level of dedication blew me away. Also they referred me to one of the best massage therapists in the city. And the aftercare? Phenomenal. Tiffany, one of Dr. Torres' nurses, was always a text away. She responded quickly, asked for updates and photos, and made me feel like I had 24/7 support. That kind of access and reassurance makes such a difference when you're healing from a big procedure. Most importantly, the results speak for themselves. My body is snatched. I look like I've been in the gym doing squats for months, but it's all thanks to Dr. Torres' artistry. The results are natural, proportionate, and flawless. People can't even tell it's surgery, it just looks that good. If you're considering Skin & Skinnier, don't hesitate. Dr. Torres and his team are unmatched. The professionalism, the genuine care, and the results are everything. Highly, highly recommend!
