Hence my utter disappointment when they shattered all of my joy and good memories from eating here for a trashy, somehow stale, stretchy slap of dough, yeuck, undercooked looking, but hard as a rock, chewy and absolute displeasurment to my tastebuds, a real insult really to my mouth. Not to mention, there was a sign that said "buy 3 pretzels get 1 free" so i bought 3 for my pals and I , but they refused to give me my free one. We had bought it as a combo but to my surprise buying 3 pretzels, doesn't mean buying 3 pretzels. This utterly ridiculous experience has left me shocked of the downfall of this pretzel shop, if we you can even call it that, I recommend going to the auntie annes on your next visit. Cheese was good though.

I tried the Buddy Hoppy IPA and the Hazy Baby IPA. I was already inclined to order Buddy Hoppy (for obvious reasons and that the Buddy Holly Center is a few blocks down). Both had that crisp flavor I was looking for. I ultimately settled on Buddy Hoppy; he said it was one of their first brews.

It always has a hefty weight to it and a well balanced amount of tomatoes, lettuce, and onions. How do you explain the concept of a burger? It's really just something special. I like coming here for lunch. It's a bar at the end of the day, but their burgers are what make me want to come back. Many times in college, a friend would suggest Bierhaus, and I would tell them yes only if we got there before their kitchen closed because I needed a burger. They also give you a ton of fries. More fries than you'll ever need with a burger. That's awesome. Being in Texas, you see a lot of places offer a patty melt similar to the ones at Whataburger. A lot of places try to make a higher version dupe of a patty melt, and I think it always falls flat, but Bierhaus's does a pretty good job of being its own thing. Thank you for good food, Bierhaus. The two story indoor space can be loud, but there's a lot of booths for hanging around and chatting, with plenty of TVs. The outdoor patio has a different energy with swings, large tables, and a DJ. They always have a great selection of beers and good deals to go around. It was one of the few bars in Lubbock to offer cans of peebers (PBRs), which was always exciting for me.
