I was walking around my neighborhood, exploring more of the side streets because quaran-times has us all a little more confined close to home. Then I happened upon a park I had never known about! Preston Park.
It is next to/connects to the playground of the Shelby Traditional school.
There is a nice, narrow, asphalt path that circles the park. There are a couple basketball courts, a spot for baseball, some benches to sit on, playground things, some creative and cute yarn-bombing, and a lot of open green space.
It isn't big.
It isn't fancy.
But it is a lovely little patch of green space that has yet to fail to brighten my day, now that I have found it. read more
