I'm here to say, please don't put your parents our love ones in this place! My mom and stepdad were in there last year for less than two months and they both passed and went to heaven. These people charged so much money and did not take care of my parents in the Memory care unit! Before my parents were in this place, they were at home I was watching my parents. I had my mom getting her up to walk, bathing her eating good food the moment she got into this place they never got her up to walk. They blended her food, and every time I would visit her I noticed something was wrong with her! She had dementia and didn't talk, but I knew in my heart and I can feel her. Something was wrong pictures don't lie.! At the end of her two months, she end up catching Covid. It was her first time having it.!! They kept her isolated for 10 days in a bed, not getting up nothing! They told me I was not allowed to see her. This was during Mother's Day for two weeks.! Finally, she became negative and I was able to see her on May 17, 2023, when I walked in my parents room, I immediately started crying, my stepdad was in a diaper with no pants. Halfway off the bed, my mom was laying there so skinny she wasn't barely moving.!! They both had poop! I put my head on my mom's chest. She was breathing so shallow.! I went out and told the nurse they didn't even know they were like this, my parents, how these people work there, and don't know!????? My mom passed away there May 18, 2023. My stepdad followed her May 31, 2023. They were both again and they're less than two months.!! This place is unacceptable and not worth your money or your families love one life !! If it was my choice, they would've never been in this place EVER! Rest in heaven parents you are loved and always will be in my heart!! read more

I have been working in the Hospice field for over 30 years I've gone in and out of facilities from the East Bay,Contra Costa Solano all over SJ, I arrived to see a pt at Prestige Assisted Living in Manteca and I loved what I saw, they were setting up for an Easter eggs hunt for children, from the receptionist at the front desk to the caregivers in memory care who were totally engaged with the residents and were oh so kind to the Director of Memory Care Sadaf who clearly loves what she does and has the sweetest since of humor the unit was clean the residents were well kept and there was a calmness unlike most memory care units, Thank you Prestige from myself and Grace and Glory Hospice for allowing us to be apart of your residents journey Lori Watkins read more

I honestly wish I could give them 0 stars. A friend of a friend used to work here, and when a RESIDENT DIED from the COVID-19 illness, he/she was NOT informed by he/she's employer. When the employee asked to not come to work in concern for his family, they gave NO SENSITIVITY and gave him an ULTIMATUM that lead to his UNEMPLOYMENT. This company has NO consideration for the health and wellness of their employees that work here. Who the f*ck would want to support a place like this? Sorry. read more

Both my mom and dad were at this facility. My dad in the memory care and my mom in the assisted living. We found out after my father passed away that the "manager" of the department was not qualified to even serve water. She would call me and tell me I needed to hire someone to shadow him 25/7 because he had Alzheimer's and they didn't have enough staff to keep an eye on him. I still don't understand why I had to pay an outside person to take care of my dad while in a facility he was in was being paid to do this. My mom was treated poorly by the on site nurse Edgar and director of Manteca Prestige 2015-2017. When she returned from a hospital stay and needed extra help because she was a fall risk, they would charge her to have 2-3 extra people help her but only one would come or if there were two they would complain that they had other things to do, mostly it was only one person but she was still charged for more. More than once her pain medications went missing from her bottles in her room (she was able to take her own medications) when reported it was implied my mom had taken them, my mom was 100lbs and 80 years old she DID not take 360 pills in 1 & 1/2 weeks something was fishy but we agreed then to allow the med tech to takeover them so she wouldn't be left in pain. 2 days after my father passed away they called and asked me when I would clean out my dads room, my husband and I did it that next day. No one made eye contact with us or even said a kind word of sympathy. When my mom passed she had been out in the hospital and an extended nursing care for 5 weeks. When I would stop by to pick up mail/clothing or pay her room bill only a couple of the girls would ask me about my mom, when she passed and we went to clean out her room one of the med techs gave me a huge hug (it was wonderful) others just looked at us and never said a work or gave a smile. When I returned the keys they said the director and nurse wanted to talk to us could we wait? I thought they wanted to extend their condolences, NOPE! They wanted to show me the paper where they "record" the disposal of her medications. Just a standard form with a few initials, could have been done right then for all anyone knew. This again was only a few days after she passed. No I'm sorry for your loss or even a "bummer" They say you get what you pay for... Not here you don't. My parents saved a lifetime to stay someplace nice, it looks nice on the outside, it's what you don't see behind closed doors you should be worried about! My Mom Luba was living at the Prestige for a few years. No place is perfect in reading the previous posts. What I can say is that the Staff at the Prestige are warm and caring people and should be commended for their hard work, patience with the residences and the trust they have earned with the daily care of our Loved ones. My Mom Luba passed this past November and I know she is missed by everyone who knew her. Thanks to all of you at the Prestige for all you did for my Mom while she was there. My mother was in the end stage of her illness and we needed help with her care. After looking into some options that were beyond unacceptable, I was delighted to walk into Prestige. It was decorated beautifully for the fall season, music was playing, the setting was warm and welcoming. The staff was extremely polite, understanding, caring, and helpful. Within minutes I knew this was the place for my mother. We moved her in the next day and she loved it. Staff checked on her hourly, she had a call button lanyard to request staff's assistance. Their response time was 10 minutes or less, the staff was very pleasant and friendly. Prestige has an in house pharmacy so I didn't have to worry about medication and the house nurse organized everything so I could focus on my mom. The meals were delicious, it is a very family friendly facility that allows overnight visits. Her furnished apartment was decorated beautifully and we were allowed to add our own personal touches that made it feel like "home" for mom. During our short time at Prestige, we were treated like we had been there for a long time, staff quickly learned our names and treated us like family. I highly recommend this facility for those needing assistance with care or just a senior looking for an independent living facility. I had great peace of mind knowing when I went home that mom was well cared for until I could return. Candace was extremely helpful facilitating her move in and Genevieve was just a delight to have care for my mom, as was all of the staff from the food servers to the medication administrators.
