Thank you David! I live in Santa Clarita but my 78 year old disabled uncle lives in Thousand Oaks. I received an early call this Saturday morning that he'd fallen (he's right side paralyzed) hit his head and with his paralysis struggled to pull himself up leaving a trail of blood all over his carpet and the sofa he pulled himself up on. Very sorry to leave a 1 star review, but the communication on the part of this company was useless. It took 2 days to get a response - the owner was on vacation, fine - but when we finally made the appointment for upholstery cleaning, we moved around furniture, put the dogs in another room, made work and appointment schedules around the visit - and when the date and time arrived, no one showed up. We had been loyal to another carpet cleaning service for years, and each time our former cleaner would return, I was less and less pleased with the carpets. I kept questioning myself, thinking it was my imagination that the carpets didn't look much better after getting cleaned. Finally, the last time the other guy came out, I saw no difference in the dirty color of my carpet, so I told my husband, "That's it.... I'm looking elsewhere next time." Yesterday was the "next time," and Prestige Home Services became our NEW cleaner of choice, and yes, because of Yelp. Jonathan came out, surveyed the scene and gave us a quote and his opinion about the condition of our carpets and what he thought he could do. Well, in under 2 hours, he had completed our two-story residence, and even wet, I could see it was as if a miracle had happened here. Carpets were a million times better, and on top of that, it didn't take forever and a day for them to dry. I am sooooooo happy with how they turned out. We have pets, and while there are a couple of areas that will be forever stained, there is now a vast improvement in the color, feel and overall look. VERY, VERY pleased. This is the third time I used Prestige Home Service and I couldn't be more disappointed! The technician was not efficient. He claimed that he would not be able to remove certain stains because of the weave of the rug. After he was done I did express my disappointment. I had to call another carpet cleaning service and they were able to do the SAME room with no excuses and for $50 CHEAPER!!! They left my carpet like new. NEVER AGAIN!!! I've been using this company for 7 years, we have pets and a high traffic household so I consider a carpet cleaning service part of our regular maintenance schedule. We have rugs, upholstery, mattresses etc cleaned about 4x a year and I have stuck with Prestige through all of it because they show up when they're supposed to, they're responsive, knowledgeable, affordable, and stand by the work. We had one occasion where I felt like something still had a slight odor after a new puppy came into the household and they came out and redid the work for free even as I insisted on paying. There are plenty of companies who just want to be able to perform well enough in order to invoice for work so when I find one that's interested in making sure I get the full extent of the work I paid for I stay with them for as long as possible. read more

This place deserves all the good ratings it gets on here. I found Prestige on yelp and chose them since no one had anything bad to say about them. We had a roommate who had two cats. These cats didn't know how to use their litter box very well, and the room had a powerful cat urine odor when the roommate left. It was bad enough that we couldn't use the room, but whenever we turned the air conditioning in the house on, it would pull all the cat urine odor out and blow it all over the house. Prestige was very good at managing our expectations. They explained that they would do everything that they could, but if the urine had soaked into the padding it would still smell when he was done. He tried really hard, and the room is still drying, but my air conditioner just kicked on, and no urine smell! I'd tried every home remedy and carpet cleaning rental machine, and one hour with prestige and the problem is solved. I also liked how friendly everyone was. I called stanley steamer for info and the guy kept asking me if i was just "price shopping." When i called prestige for info, they gladly gave me a ton of info on what their cleaning process was.
