The shop was closed and no one answered the phone. we left a message with our number and no one returned the call. we had to rent another car to travel north to our hotel. After emailing Holiday Car, they took 5 weeks to respond with a form letter that we would not be refunded our payment. Do not use these folks - they are clearly a ripoff.

As soon as we left the parking spot and got up the road the low tire pressure light came on. We stopped and put air in the tires, no big deal. We got to the beach and when we returned to the vehicle the tire was completely flat. My husband put on the spare tire and then we inspected the tire that was on the car. There was damage to the tire that we didn't cause. However, we understood that since we didn't inspect the car before we left. That's why we paid for insurance, right? The rental shop was closed by the time we got back to the hotel so first thing the next morning we took the car back to inform the man who rented us the car that there was a flat tire. He immediately began to verbally attack my husband screaming at him in the street. My husband tried to calmly explain what happened and the guy, literally in the middle of the street, screamed at him that we destroyed the tire and that my husband was lying. He then told us that even though we paid for the insurance it didn't cover the tires and we would need to pay. He charged my husband another 70€. We paid it and he continued to verbally assault my husband in front of me and our 5 year old daughter. Here's the thing. We understand that we should have inspected the car before we left. However, had we hit something we would have said he hit something BECAUSE WE HAD PAID FOR INSURANCE. At the end of the day, this place is unprofessional, disrespectful and not worth your money. The man who runs the office is a thief. Rent a car from the airport, take a taxi or a bus, but a train ticket. Do anything, but don't rent a car or scooter from this place.
