Jake Ryan in a sea of yuppie chicks, but hey where's Mollie? Matcha Freeze with the works for this fly guy...
Eric R.

"I want a serious girlfriend. Somebody I can love, who's gunna love me back. Is that psycho?" Back in the day I was Jake Ryan aka "the dude" in Sixteen Candles. Y'know spiked hair, sweater vest, tight jeans. Heck I'm still Jake, but with flat hair, and jeans I should've retired two decades ago, plus the added three inches ahem. Mollie Ringwald aside, I'm always down for a good dessert. Not just any material girl in the Marina District, but also one satisfying my senses too.. with a healthier dessert! I was in the Marina District the other day and couldn't help myself from grinning at all the yuppies still in the hood... all grown up from our Sixteen Candles days. Don't get me wrong it's a fantastic place to live. And I do admit the yuppie woman that transitioned to yoga pants certainly keeps my senses going. Um not all, but I couldn't help notice some with Starbucks in one hand, and Pressed Juicery juices in the other. Then I recall having Pressed Juicery before and enjoying the Freeze. Ahh a healthy dessert is on my wish list so I head to Press Juicery like the freckled kid looking for a prom date! As like all Pressed Juicery locations it's compact, well lit, with a ton of refrigeration. Employees generally bubbly. Yet I'm not here to juice or mingle w/ celery, I came in for the Freeze... The Freeze is a soft-serve frozen treat using only juices from fruits and vegetables, almonds and coconuts, it's a vegan, gluten and dairy-free dessert packed with the same nutrition found in the signature juices. There's about 5-6 flavors, I opt for the Matcha on this round (I've had the Vanilla Almond before and that was delicious) and choose toppings of strawberries, blueberries, coconut, with a drizzle of almond butter. I also go with the larger size at $8. For the small it'll run you around $6 with all the toppings I picked. But I'm here to par-tay in my mouth! And after taking it outside to enjoy (no other option unless you want to awkwardly stare at refrigerators) I dig in! First lick ok. Second better. Third lick even better. And the best part it's healthy! All in all, I recommend Pressed Juicery for a great option for a healthy dessert. It will satisfy your sweet tooth. I still prefer a well made Brazilian Açaí bowl, but the Freeze ain't a bad choice for those south side of youth. Sometimes I miss being Jake, yet I miss Mollie's knickers even more. Love you;)

I really enjoy these delicious juices, and I especially love the preselected juice cleanse Pressed puts together. So far, I have only dabbled with the Beginner Cleanse mainly because I love the two almond based shakes it comes with. Hands down, I feel less inflammation and water weight after these cleanses. Additionally, I can spread the one day cleanse out to two days. The juices are packed with nutrients and keep you satiated throughout the day.

5 stars for how tasty they can make a bunch of veggies taste in a juice! This was very refreshing to have after a workout and they have a great rewards program that entices you to be a loyal customer! Pressed Juicery has the best tasting green juices I've had so far. Highly recommend green 1 or green 2. They both comes with lots of veggies for your daily intake and taste delicious!

I was honestly not expecting to like this place as much as I did. We originally planned on ordering a pressed juice. After reviewing the whole menu we went with the vegan freeze. Before you commit they let you sample which is pretty amazing. You pick your size, flavor, and toppings. I had the vanilla with shredded coconut and almond butter drizzle. My daughter had chocolate with granola and honey. We loved them both. The service was also great. He was friendly and helpful when we had questions about the options.

The juices were yummy but not filling like smoothies but I tried some samples and bought a greens 3 after my workout. It was ok. The service is efficient but the people behind the counter are uninspiring and don't look like they go to the gym. There was one girl here that was pretty cranky (the overweight one) who talks in a bitchy tone and asked if I could reuse my sample cups (green juice with almond milk?) but luckily the others were nicer.

I loveee this place! Coming from a dietetic background, this is a great place to get a substantial amount of daily nutrients all packed in easy-to-go bottles..only if you're willing to shell out $6.50 per a bottle. Other than making your wallet cry, the taste of the juices are enticing. When I came here, I ordered the Root 2 (carrot, kale, romaine, spinach, parsley, apple, & ginger). If you're someone who likes carrots..this is definitely your go-to drink. The carrot flavor overpowers everything else but there is also a heavy flavor of ginger. Root 2 is like sweet carrot juice with some spiciness. Will come back again to try the other juices and the seasonal mixes (watermelon starting in July). P.S. The employees here are amazing! They're very friendly and knowledgeable in the juices. They also allow you to sample juices :)

Some of their juices are too sweet and watery, also they are wasting lots of paper bags in the business. Please be more eco-responsible!

We walked over and somehow landed excellent parking karma. At that hour, it was blissfully empty--one person working, no line, no chaos. We ordered and had our food almost immediately. It was honestly refreshing. I went in wanting something hearty--my usual steak and eggs moment--but that wasn't really on offer. So I pivoted and ordered the PB açaí bowl. And listen... it was really, really good. Shockingly good. Supposedly 900 calories, which feels dramatic because it did not eat like 900 calories. It felt light, clean, very virtuous. The only miscalculation? It was freezing outside. And inside. They don't run the heater, so it was absolutely frigid. Eating an ice-cold açaí bowl in Arctic conditions is a bold lifestyle choice. That's on me. My one note: I wish they mixed the ingredients better. I understand the aesthetic--smooth base, perfectly placed toppings, very Instagram. But they fill it to the brim, which makes mixing it yourself nearly impossible without creating a scene. Still delicious. Just a structural critique. I had water. It was quiet. Calm. Efficient. It was also very pricey. Almost $20 all in for what felt like a small meal--though you could argue it was technically a full one. My friend ordered the avocado toast and declared it "to die for," which felt convincing. The server was... neutral. Order taken, order delivered. No friction, no flair. We also tried another "healthful" item that I would absolutely not order again. Some things are nutritious. Some things are edible. They are not always the same. Would I go back? Yes. It was interesting. Good food. Healthy. Easy. Quick.

I looked around to see if I'm supposed to grab a straw at the stand but there wasn't any. I asked the worker and she was looking at her phone and told me to get a straw myself. I told her there wasn't any and you can clearly see that from afar. Her other coworker had to tell her they were out of straws so she finally gets some from the cabinet and gives me a straw. I can't believe how unhelpful they were.. The workers here can be more aware if they weren't too busy playing with their phones. Immunity sunshine $10.95 + tip = $13 (5/5) - this drink was yummy. Very fruity and refreshing with a nice kick of ginger. Not too chunky and was blended nicely cause of the coconut water Customer service (0/5) - Workers don't want to help or talk to you. They just want to be on their phones Overall, this place has great drinks. $13 for a drink with tips would be justifiable but the employees were rude and makes me not want to come back. There's other smoothie options across the street or down the block. Not sure if I was treated differently because of my race or the way I was dressed :(
