The decor…read morehas a fun, semi festive New Orleans inspired feel, but it's definitely more subtle than the over the top Mardi Gras atmosphere I was expecting, especially having been to NOLA several times. I was really hoping the food would bring some of that Big Easy flavor. I ordered the Reuben, and honestly, it was pretty good! I liked that the corned beef came in chunky pieces rather than thin slices, and the Reaper sauce actually had a nice spicy kick, which I appreciated. The Blue Waters drink was pretty basic, though, and the carrot cake didn't really stand out either. Overall, the food felt more like solid cafe style fare than the bold, flavorful dishes I associate with New Orleans cuisine. I was tempted to try a few more things to see if I had simply ordered the wrong items, but unfortunately, there were quite a few fruit flies flying around, which made me lose my appetite a little. Would I recommend it for authentic New Orleans flavor? Probably not. But if you're looking for a casual cafe with a little New Orleans inspired flair and some decent menu options, it's worth checking out. Just don't go expecting the full Big Easy experience.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and were able to find street parking easily. The decor of the shop is cute, and ordering at the kiosk was simple; they have a pretty extensive menu so, whatever type of drink you're looking for, they probably have it! We got the coconut matcha and a mango matcha milk, both of which came out pretty quickly. I was unfortunately a little disappointed with the color of the matcha when our drinks came out; it was a very pale green, and didn't taste like they used high quality matcha powder to make our drinks. My boyfriend was also disappointed by the coconut matcha, which didn't taste as good as he expected. I thought my mango matcha, on the other hand, was delicious! The mango flavor was strong and sweet, but not overly so, and I enjoyed my drink! Overall, we'd definitely come back, but probably try different drinks since it seems like this shop doesn't specialize in matcha.
