I went to PresNow for acute, excruciating back pain. I spent the next four hours in the waiting room sobbing from the pain, and not a single staff member checked on me or reassured me. I was left completely alone. I couldn't even have a supportive, comforting friend with me. I finally left in tears. The place shouldn't be called PresNow. I went in due to severe back pain. Couldn't walk for two weeks and had to be wheel chaired out of my vehicle. The gentleman who wheeled me in told the lady at the front desk " oh its just back spasms". They let me sit in the lobby for four hours, letting others go ahead of me because it was "just back spasms", even though I was in excruciating pain. I left without being seen and went to urgent care on juan tabo and Comanche and was seen in 10 minutes. Come to find out I had 3 herniated disks, a completely collapsed disks, arthritis, stenosisband other issues. I will never go back due to the hell they put me through due to bad triage. I've broken bones, severed fingers, been in motorcycle accidents, torn rotator cuffs, dislocated joints etc, and this was the worst pain in my life and they let me sit there for 4 hours while they put ridiculous things ahead of me. I'm sure nobody wants to go to urgent care, so that's a tough way to run a business. However, I had to go with my small child late in the evening hoping to avoid the emergency room. The front desk and triage were outstanding. The nurse who came to do vitals was also quite pleasant, and the PA who saw my child was fine--efficient. All in all, the place is clean, and the staff is responsive. I'm usually very, very critical of all my heath care experiences, and I would recommend and return to this urgent care. read more

Although the waiting area is full and a few wait time complaints have been voiced, the front desk staff has done a phenomenal job of providing the best patient care service. We have been offered snacks, warm blankets, and asked if there was anything we needed while we wait. A receptionist brought out snacks and provided a sippy cup for my baby who is waiting to be seen. They have offered crayons and coloring pages to keep him occupied. I have never received such care at any other medical facility. You ladies are amazing, and your patient manner is amazing!!! read more

Me and my wife came with our newborn from a city away. All the staff was very friendly and nice, clean facilities, AMAZING bathrooms. Very nice building. We were in and out within 2 hours and the place was packed. Everyone was rushing around trying to help everyone. Good job staff! Receptionist (both) were very rude toward all patients checking-in or out. A couple of patients that had already checked in were concerned and making comments about the way one of the receptionist was speaking to people. One in particular wore glasses and was YELLING at everyone with a very rude tone and came across very pissy. This place was garbage the way they treated patients elderly and young. read more

I came after a vehicle accident and waited 4+ hours in the lobby. They don't offer patients water or anything for that matter. The lobby was overpacked with not enough seats for people waiting. They seem to only have 4 actual doctors so be ready to spend most of your day here. To top it all off when checking out the workers seem to not want to be there anymore than you would. Have been several times, for Flu's, UTI's, and what not. They are doing amazing during such a hard time. Yes, if you go, there will be a wait (here's a tip: if the parking lot is overflowing, don't whine because they didn't see you for your sniffles right away). If you have an emergency situation they will take amazing care of you. If you have an urgent situation, you might wait a while, but they will still take amazing care of you! read more

Came in at 1:30 am to be seen for a breakout of hives over my entire body. I needed to take something for the allergic reaction because nothing over the counter was working. We waited for 4 hours to be seen by a doctor and finally left at 5:30 am because we didn't want to wait any longer. They kept giving us the excuse that there's only 1 doctor available but a 4 hour wait for an allergic reaction is ridiculous. Will not be coming back. read more

I went in with excruciating belly pain. ALL of the staff were kind, attentive, efficient and did I mention kind? I was seen and treated quickly and appropriately. 1) "PresNow" should be called "Pres 4 Hours From Now" since that's how long it took to be placed in a room even though I was in 10/10 pain. No one even came to check on me while I was waiting, slowly writhing and stifling sobs of pain. Eventually a tech took me to a room where, despite my appeals for help with my pain, I waited even longer. Take it from my experience, you will receive no compassion at all from this inept, uncaring staff. Why they are in the medical profession at all, I have no idea. Must be the money. 2) Their billing is off-the-charts awful and frustrating. I went to PresNow Urgent Care on Paseo del Norte back on March 4. Presbyterian is in the BlueCross/BlueShied network of providers. While there, I was seen by CATHERINE GAROFALI, NP. Write down that name and avoid her unless you want to pay full price for service. A seven month battle between me, Presbyterian and Blue Cross has been ongoing since then because I received a full bill for services with nothing taken out for insurance payment. The reason: Catherine Garofali NP is out of the BlueCross/BlueShield network but she choses to work in a Blue Cross in-network facility. And Pres has employed her! Whaaa...? Why Pres would employ Catherine Garofali NP if she is out of the BlueCross network I have no idea since Pres is in the BlueCross network. I can't explain how frustrating this has been. You walk in to the PresNow urgent care, the intake person looks at your insurance card, writes down your information and tells you to take a seat and you think all will be fine. Oh, man...guess again. Catherine Garofali NP saw me for all of 5 minutes and as a result, I have been required to fight her fraudulent full-service insurance claim for the past 7 months. If you're reading this, please avoid Presbyterian at all costs and ALWAYS ask the doc in the ER or urgent care, especially isfhe is Catherine Garofali NP, whether they actually take your insurance. I came in thinking I had pink eye and got checked in. 5 minutes after I got checked in Christian took me back to an exam room. He was very kind and considerate when asking questions that were personal and hard to talk about. He said the doctor would be in in a few minutes and she came in 5 minutes after he left. My whole visit was less than 30 minutes and it turned out that I didn't even have pink eye. It was eye irritation related to allergies. She sent me away with a prescription and I picked it up 5 minutes after I left. Most efficient urgent care visit I've ever had. The lobby wasn't super busy when I went but usually that doesn't matter and other places take forever. I was very happy with my visit. Thank you! read more

I'm not sure if anyone will actually read this letter, but I feel like someone needs to know.. Last year I found out some devastating news about my sister.  She has cancer.  My body reacted (as it has done numerous times in the past.) I begin with diarrhea and then vomiting starts within a few hours.  Yes, both of these things happen at the same time.  The last time I had one of the "episodes" was pre-covid.  Where, you can look at my chart and see that I am given an IV and sent on my way.  This time around my friend brought me to the urgent care and was told she needed to stay outside because of COVID.  Me being an adult and one that can handle her business - I didn't think anything of it. The Front Desk I walked into the entry, one large room with probably 50 chairs, I was greeted with 2 people that looked scared to death to be there.  I understood.  I didn't want to be there either.  I was holding a plastic sack and a blanket.  I gave them my ID and said that if they would pull up my chart all I need is an IV.  They told me that I needed to sit down because several people were in front of me. I sat down and as timing would have it - I began vomiting in front of the 10ish people that were in the waiting room with me.  Then, I needed to use the restroom because of course the diarrhea hit at the same time.  I am weak, and feeling like I'm going to pass out.   Nobody was there.  I slowly made it to the restroom.  A worker opened the door for me and left it open.  The 10ish people in the waiting room witnessed me pulling down my pants to sit on the potty and then throw up in a plastic bag.  The worker stayed by the door with it wide open so everyone could see.  YES, you heard me correct.  Disgusting and humiliating. Made Room For Me At this point they felt like I should be taken to the back.  The next set of people took my temperature and it said 114.  Obviously that had to be incorrect.  Ugh, I'm sick again.  I make it to the bathroom and the door was left open. I said again and again, All I need is an IV and everything will stop.  On my way to the examination room I managed to get sick in yet another bathroom.  Now, I have managed to walk bent over like a 100 year old woman to my room.  They put a mask on me (I thought I'm now going to vomit on myself) The Dr came in and I said, this has happened before all I need is an IV.  I was given something that caused me to shut my eyes and become unable to move. While I Was Unconscious I NEVER AGREED TO ANY TESTS.  However, many were performed on me. Emergency Room $2,989.00 A body scan for $4,398.00 Chest X Ray $205.00 Chemistry $557 Chemistry $157 Pelv with contrast $322 When I finally woke up I was told about the many tests being performed. It made no sense to me. I did not give my consent to these tests.  I had asked more than once to please give me an IV. When I started to receive bills for tests I didn't approve of, I was not happy.  I contest most of the tests run on me and hope you will forward and removing them from my final bill.  I will be happy to pay for what I think is fair. WORST "CARE" EVER! Went to the ER for TIA, aka "Mini Stroke"... as in it's happening NOW. I sat in the waiting room while the triage took in sniffles, splinters, and cold symptoms. Please look up the definition of Triage! Took my vitals and put me back in the waiting room. The crew at the front desk talking smack about all of the patients; told the care provider of a 91 year old woman with dementia that he couldn't stay with her cuz they're too crowded. REALLY??? The gross lack of professionalism, "care", and general understanding of medical EMERGENCY is rampant. I left because I'm sure I would have died in their "care." read more

Front desk staff are not truthful about the waits and then become very defensive. We were told multiple times that we had 3 folks in front of us. More than 3 would go in and we would still be told we had 3 in front of us. The security guard plays games on her phone. I am super sad to say that this place was absolutely terrible today. I checked in at around 1:30pm and didn't get dismissed until qlmost 11:00pm. I waited for hours. I felt like they forgot about me considering I was in a roo. For about 3 hours and not a soul checked on me. To top it off the Dr. Didn't have a clear diagnosis for me so I am home now and still have pain and feel like something might still be wrong. The only ok experience from my visit was the nure even though she didn't come in very often the 2 times she did come in she was very informative and friendly. I want to say her name was Stephanie but I'm not entirely sure. The front desk staff and security guard were also friendly. Definitely a bug thumbs down to everything else though. Maybe they were just having a tough night because my previous experiences at this office were absolutely amazing. Better luck next time!. read more

While the staff was friendly the lack of competence from their staff was quite worrying. I fell off my skateboard at high speeds, road burn on my arms and leg. They took x-rays, nothing was broken so they discharged me.... Still with rocks/dirt lodged in my road burnt arms and leg, covered in my own dried blood, had to buy gauze the next day to wrap myself up (so much for stay home and rest). Still not the worst part, I was shaking from pain so they offered me ibuprofen which never even came. read more

I was having complications from a previous procedure and decided to be seen at this so called ER due to my doctor informing me that I needed a CT scan. Called ahead person on telephone was kind.Clerical staff was prompt and kind. Taken into triage and then a nurse?? who never identified herself and hid employee badge asked me to follow her instead of offering a wheelchair and wasn't concerned about my symptoms and lacked in the Empathy Dept. She just said I will let doctor know you are here. She didn't examine me or so much as listen to heart, lungs or bowel sounds... Forty-five minutes later I retrieved the call light and the incompetent nurse reappears I ask her how much longer and she informs me I am next to be seen: thirty minutes later I opened door to exam room just in time to hear the doctor tell the "Scribe" I am going to dinner...wow!! I asked to use the telephone to call my husband: he was outside waiting for me. As I was walking out I was asked if I was checking out I informed them No! I have been waiting to be seen and I am going to a real ER where they know how to take care of patients with urgent symptoms. I am an RN and have been in the Medical Field for about 40 years and know incompetence when I see it and more so when I am living it...I asked for the name of Nurse Manager and they refused to give it to me. This so called ER was supposed to be convenient to the families in this neighborhood( I live up off Layton and Paseo) I don't care how far we have to drive, I will never allow the people I love and care for step foot inside this facility and I will inform my neighbors at our next "Neighborhood Association" meeting as well. Had an AWFUL experience here. Very disappointed and super angry. My boyfriend and I went in on a Monday in the middle of flu season, with flu symptoms and we were talked over and down to and left without a diagnoses of ANY kind and were prescribed ibuprofen. For the flu. What a joke. 2 days later, we weren't getting better so we went to a different urgent care and my boyfriends flu had developed into bronchitis because this place didn't want to do their job. Literally wish I could sue. People are dying from the flu take your job seriously. read more

Arrived at 1 pm on Sunday 10.16.2022 with the worst stop pain could barely stand the pain was so bad the young lady at thd front desk finished her text so she could help me that was ok was rushed back given an ivy lead and sent back to wait 4 hours later I am bleeding for help with the pain sir you will just have to wait 7 hours later I get into a room again bleeding for something for the pain sure the doctor will be right in two hours later after I threw up 11 times the doctor comes in and says wow you look like your in allot of pain let me get you something one hour later finally got something for the pain last only hour and they had to give me more where they proceed to tell me they don't know what's wrong I will need to see primary doctor in the morning but they can prescribe pain meds WTH 12 hours later I go home in more pain then when I got there called my doctor who says they can't see me until wed at 8 am if the pain gets worse go back to the ER WHY so I can die there???? worse experience ever oh but the billing lady came to see me four times seen her more the the medical staff!!!!!! read more

4 days after receiving 2nd moderna vaccine on a friday nite i began having extreme neck and muscular pain. had been told not to take ibuprofen so only took tylenol. well that didn't work and suffered thru the nite. saturday was not any better, having pain you can't imagine. sunday morning arrived and i called presnow and went in. they treated me very well. they listened to what i had to say and then they actually gave me a shot of tromodal for the pain. within 30 mins the paid eased up and when i left it was GONE. i had nurses come check on me and i felt very cared for. the doctors and nurses there are the best. i will never go to any other urgent care facility. also i was told to take ibuprofen and tylenol every 3-4 hrs after being told by others in the medical field not to take ibuprofen!!! advil really agrees with me so that's what i took. i still must take it to a lesser extent, but my PAIN NEVER RETURNED. it was an absolute nightmare having no way to eliminate the pain. i couldn't do anything; couldn't work and could barely walk. never had i had such pain, but the medical people at Presnow fixed it and now am back to work WITH A SMILE!!!
