Came in for a deep cut to my son's leg. The staff was very accommodating as me and my husband were both lightheaded just from seeing the open wound. Beyond taking care of our son, the staff gave me and my husband anti-nausea medicine. A great place to visit when you need to go to an urgent care. read more

The wait time is always floppy floppy. Like could be waiting a few minutes to hours. Just depending if the everyone has their sh!t together. Even if you reserve a spot online doesn't matter you will wait. And the front desk people allllwwaaaayyyssss are rude. Always. Doesn't matter who it is they are just rude. I don't know why. But the doctors are always great and nice and make you feel better. So in my opinion worth the rudeness and wait time. Better than waiting weeks or months to get into a primary for something that's need to be dealt with now. But make sure you've cleared your schedule cause oh boy it's a task. read more

Very easy to make an appointment over the phone or online for same day appointment. Very clean and neat atmosphere and the staff, nurses and doctors were all very polite and professional. I definitely recommend this place for same day urgent care. read more

SAVE YOUR TIME AND HEALTH! Don't bother going here. I made an early appointment. When I got in to check in there was only 3 people ahead of me. They said the system was down and couldn't get me checked in. However, they were able to get other appointments checked in and seen ahead of me. When I brought up the long wait I was told I had to go somewhere else they were not able to check me in. Directly after I watched them check in 4 other people after I arrived. My appointment was scheduled for 8:30 and they sent me away at 10:45. Was not see at all. They did nothing for me but waste my time while exposing me to others sickness. Came to Duke City Urgent Care. They were professional, courteous, and able to get me see within 30 minutes of arriving without an appointment. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE! They had no care for the inconvenience this caused or my health. I would give them no starts if possible! read more

I have never in my life been treated like this. For some background: I went in for an ear ache, I'm around 6 1/2 months pregnant, and I work with children. The nurse practitioner asked if I had been around anyone who could have been sick. I explained to her that I work with children (infants i might add) so I'm sure they are sick, but they can't tell me. She checked my ears, they were clear, fine whatever. She then sat me down to tell me "I don't mean to tell you what you should do or to leave your profession (implying I should quit my job), but you do have a BABY TO THINK ABOUT". Who says that to anyone, let alone a pregnant mother? I'm fully aware I have a baby to think about, that's why I am a full time worker. She made sure to add "I guess someone has to do that job" in a snarky tone. To add fuel to fire, as if it wasn't already bad. She claimed "I really would have avoided giving you antibiotics anyways because if you are always getting sick, you will have to keep taking antibiotics (not true), and you will screw up your gut biome and will find it hard to lose those extra 5-10 pounds in a couple years". Hello? Did I come here for weight management? Which also this information is not entirely true either, according to UCLA health. org your gut biome after taking antibiotics will completely recover in a few months. I am also not a heavy set person, even being pregnant I am about 150 lbs, so in no way shape or form should she have given me any advice about my weight. I don't know yet how to contact her higher ups, but this lady should not be a practicing nurse practitioner if she is giving unsolicited (false) advice. I don't know if she saw me as a vulnerable pregnant woman and decided to take out her bad day on me, but I will never return back to this facility knowing she works there. Mind you, everyone else was great, it really only takes one bad apple. read more

Horrible customer service, no providers. Waited over five hours with an appointment was never seen.

Literally the rudest provider I have ever encountered. When I asked a very simple question about treatment I was told "if you don't like it, you can go somewhere else." This was because I asked why she wasn't following CDC antibiotic recommendations for treating animal bites. Alice Sisneros, FNP: hands down rudest, most aggressive, condescending, patronizing provider ever. Also, there are guidelines for a reason and the reason is out-of-date, under-educated providers like her- do better and get some CME. And some bedside manner while you're at it, maybe there's a course for that online too. read more

Staff seems in a hurry and are pretty incompetent. I came in for a simple TB test. This urgent care made several mistakes and filled my form out incorrectly. When I came back to get my tb test checked, they checked both boxes for positive and negative, causing my form to be rejected. If they were a bit more patient and slowed down, they could avoid a lot of these simple mistakes. read more

let me add my one star review to all the others. These people have scheduled me three times for a DOT medical exam and canceled every appointment this week it appears they can't figure out if a certified doctor will be there the day they schedule and give you the assumption that you're getting your exam that day and cancel the last minute. Ridiculous. read more

Do not give this location any business. Booked an appointment online only for them to call us and state that appointment was unavailable. After trying to explain to the representative, that we shouldn't have been able to book an appointment, we asked to speak to a supervisor. Then the representative HUNG UP. Totally unacceptable! read more

The staff here is in a hurry just to make you wait. They have no bedside manner. The triage nurse had been extremely rude to me and it's worse when you don't feel good. read more

I scheduled an appointment for my son to have his foot checked for a potential fracture. The website said they perform "X-Rays" and when we arrived for his scheduled appointment the front desk receptionist said there wasn't an X-Ray Tech available. What's frustrating is that no one thought to be proactive and call us to give us the heads up that an X-Ray wasn't possible! DO BETTER and look at your appointments for the day and if a tech isn't available, call the patient to inform them. Don't wait till they arrive to then deliver the news! read more

Took my husband...waited most of the day, because we made an "appointment" and it wasn't until later in the day. Once we got there, we waited over an hour and finally just walked out without seeing a provider. We ended up walking into a different urgent care, which was much quicker and more efficient. (Should've done that 6 hours earlier). Anyway... I just got a bill in the mail for....not 1 but 2 rapid flu tests. Again, we never saw a provider. The MA did swab his nose to check for flu but then she never came back. And she certainly didn't swab his nose twice. They never gave us results, and we eneded up having to go somewhere else and paid for that one did see him and provide results. read more

Not impressed when it's 8:30 am and their phone system says it's after hours but they're supposed to open at 8:00 am. Been waiting all night for 8:00 to come with a bladder infection Tried again and WITH an appt I've been here almost two hours not seen yet read more

Daughter had earache so decided to go to Nextcare. Website said there was one person in line and to "walk-in" since it was an hour until closing. Got to Paseo location and was told they only accept online check in and I said it's unavailable and said to walk in. Was told they changed how things work and don't control what their website says. Waste of time, especially when not feeling so good. read more

I have been to Nextcare Urgent Care on Paseo three different times (all for different reasons) and the care has always been terrific. In addition, unlike most medical places, the front desk staff has always been helpful and fast. I highly recommend them. read more

My daughter needed a physical for school. We got one from her pediatrician but the school said it had to be on one of their forms. So figured we go to here. Up my street. Made an appointment online because I every time I called no one picked up. I picked a 5:20 pm time. Get word that only one person was at the office so we went at 5:10. We waited for over an hour. The desk woman and the Nurse kept coming in and out laughing. Finally got back and the poor doctor looked so overworked and tired. Didn't even ask much of anything except check the basic. No questions asked about anything!!. Was in front of the doctor for literally 4 minutes. This is the second time I have gone and it's been a lot. I understand people are short staff but I never saw anyone come out, until they called the other guy in. This was after 45 min of us waiting. read more

If you just need a Covid test STAY AWAY FROM NEXTCARE!!! They make you go through a whole medical appointment. It took about AN HOUR between walking in and walking out, and I'm worried about the bill I'll get in the mail. It feels like a rip off. If you just need the test, go to Walgreens or another pharmacy and get it done in 2 minutes. read more

Would NOT come here or recommend for anyone. I was really hoping we would be ok after reading all the comments. A lot were bad and some good. We were just hoping it would work out cuz other places were long wait time and I had my sick baby and sick toddler with me. They were uncomfortable and I didn't want to make them wait so long. Well...... your probably better off waiting somewhere that will actually check your kids. Do not go here! read more

Absolutely terrible service. You will not receive care here. Was first in line at 8a. They Helped the girl behind me first. Told to come back at 830a. Was checked in at that time. Not one please, thank you, your welcome. Waited for an hour. Was told if I wasn't seen in 20 mins they would come check on me. At the hour point, i came out of the room to inquire and was accosted by some older lady threatening to call 911. She charged at me and was very aggressive. She was ranting and raving and pointing her finger at me. Accusing me of causing a scene. I simply told her i had been in the room an hour and they said they would come check on me if I hadn't been seen in 20 minutes. Obviously under a lot of stress and not handling it well. Ridiculous! Go somewhere else! Absolutely the worst customer treatment and care. Other much better places to go in town like duke city urgent care. Idk why i tried this place. Terrible experience!! Wasted 2 hours and still no care. read more

I would strongly advise against going to the Paseo del Norte NextCare. The Nurse Practitioner (whose name escaped me) was unprofessional and condescending. She even admitted to "talking down" to me and treated me like I was inferior on the basis of my skin complexion. Very inappropriate and unethical conduct. Please take this into consideration! read more

My son presented with severe back pain and vomiting. He decided to go here and the front desk person was so very rude. They never tested his urine to see if he had any blood in it. They just gave him a muscle relaxer and sent him on his way. Never told him what they thought was going on. This is absolutely ridiculous! DO NOT GO HERE!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE! read more

The only positive thing about this place is that it's open until 8pm instead of the typical 5pm, so I was able to go after work. I made an appointment online and showed up 15 minutes early, but there was no one at the front desk, and no way to get some attention. I waited 30 minutes just to check in! I know long wait times in urgent care are normal, but having to wait to check in is ridiculous. When someone finally came out she was pretty rude and impatient, as if I was an inconvenience to her. Next, the woman I saw (don't remember her name) was full of it. She claimed I had a specific bacterial infection, but when I researched it later it had the exact opposite properties and symptoms of what she said. The prescription she gave me to relieve my symptoms made my pain much worse. I feel like she was not trustworthy. My advice is, if you can wait 'till morning for a different clinic, do so. read more

I took my 6 year old there due to a fall at school which gave him a nasty laceration in his hair. The school nurse told us he would need stitches due and had put a bandage on it to try to keep bleeding under control. The triage nurse at Nextcare seemed annoyed with my son right away and was just very short with him. My 6 year old was very scared and in pain and was very upset when the triage nurse started pulling the bandage out of his hair with no true explanation of what she was doing to help calm him down. My son was screaming and crying out of pain and being frightened of the unknown which the nurse only seemed to get more annoyed at. Once the nurse left I was able to calm my son down and explain what had happened and what was probably going to happen (which to be honest I had no clue if what I was saying was right since no info had been given to me) and he was fine with it. Later another person entered the room, who I assume was the Dr. though they never introduced themselves. This person looked at my sons head for less than 30 seconds and then said it will heal itself up with no stitches or staples. I right away felt like my son was being written off because they didn't want to deal with him crying but I unfortunately kept my mouth shut. We sent the attached picture to an out of town family member who is a PA who immediately said that it should have staples or stitches. He also said that if we leave it to heal on its own it will take at least 2 months to heal and will heal very jagged and and probably leave an indent in his head. So We took him to a different urgent care and he received 5 staples with zero issues. Shame on you NextCare for putting your convenience over what is best for the patient. read more

NextCare Urgent Care Albuquerque - Urgent Care Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

This location is ridiculous. I went to get a sports physical, and had an appointment scheduled for the afternoon. The morning of the appointment they called me and told I had to come in earlier because the provider was leaving early. I got there 20 minutes before my appointment and before the provider was planning on leaving, handed them my paperwork(literally the backside of 1 page is all they needed to fill out) and got checked in. The front desk worker took my paper to the back, and came back 2 minutes later and told me they couldn't do the physical because the provider was only a PA and not a DO or DR. Total waste of my time because I have has Nurse Practitioners complete these physicals. The only reason they didn't do it is because they wanted to leave early and there were already 2 other people ahead of me in line. This is true because they also sent away the people who came in after me. Absolutely disrespectful of my time and tried to use some BS excuse to not do THEIR JOB. read more

This is a good place to go, always friendly and professional, even rolled me to my car

If I could have left zero stars I would! This place is a JOKE! I went there Friday 9/9/2022, with a bad sore throat and some congestion. Got tested for strep, the flu and Covid. The intake "nurse" that took the swabs then placed them between her fingers and continued to type in information, coughed and snorted in her mask, walked me to my room all while my swabs were still between her fingers exposed to the elements and not properly handled. What medical professional does that. No surprise my Covid test came back inconclusive, the others were negative but who knows what the true results are since she didn't immediately secure the tests. EVERY time I go there it's a mess. I swear I'm never going back but because they are so close and easy to get into I go back. I'm done. Absolutely the worst Urgent Care in Albuquerque!!! read more

Naomi was really rude when I told her I was leaving cause of the long wait time.. they had people go back before me that came in after me. I'm in pain and throwing up. DONT GO TO THE MENAUL LOCATION. I've been here several times and it's always been pleasant. This last time though, the provider was so strange. He was very short with me and asked questions in an aggressive way. Weather he had a difficult patient before me or not, it doesn't excuse how horrible he came off. After I'd respond there would be awkward pauses and he'd just glare. He raised his voice and told me I was incorrect for wanting to receive the treatment I came for. He kept questioning me in an aggressive way and repeating things multiple times. I got so frustrated with him for acting so strange I eventually just had to leave. He was an "ex military" guy (not sure why he felt the need to assert that) who was on the slightly heavier side. Overall I've always had a pleasant time coming to this location but this guy was so strange and horrible to be around. I wish I could give zero stars for bed side manner. All I wanted was my blood drawn for an anti-body test. I met all the requirements and it wouldn't have killed him to at least pretend he cares about patients or his job. read more

Connie, the NP was amazing! She spent a good amount of time listening to my history and performing the exam in order to diagnose my sinus infection and the appropriate course of action to take. I am so severely disappointed with this location. I was turned away even after calling and confirming that there was no last call time. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Staff hung out discussing their Starbucks orders. They showed no compassion or urgency. When I revealed that I needed blood work done, they just kept saying how they understood. I asked for a manager and was told she's too busy managing 3 clinics to assist me, but I could talk to the rude lead who told me she has diabetes and understands. Saying it doesn't make it true. The MA assisting me looked unhealthy, like she was recovering from Meth and felt impatient with my weight wouldn't register on the scale because I was too fat. I hope this clinic goes out of business. I have been prediabetic for 5 years and I'm afraid that I crossed the line. Im scared with extremely blurry vision and the best they could do was say "I understand" and "we're too busy". I'm glad that I didn't have an emergency because I think I'd be dead. Horrible place and will never go again! They charged me $10 and my insurance $170. Told me they were only going to deal with one issue; if I had more issues to be addressed I'd have to come back as one issue per visit. Who says that!! The PA, not even a doctor was inconsiderate and had horrible bed side manners and was very unsympathetic to my needs and issues. I'll never return to any next care urgent center read more

Awful. I am penicillin allergic and was prescribed an antibiotic that should not have been prescribed. $1000 in ER care. All over a simple, straightforward case of strep throat. I understand that every business is understaffed at the moment. I am also aware that I will most often have a wait at an urgent care. However, I had a scheduled appt today and after 35 minutes of waiting I asked the receptionist if she could give me an idea of how much longer the wait would be as I had other things scheduled in my day and needed to know if I should cancel. She walked to the back and was gone for 10 minutes and then came back and ignored me without answering my question. So we waited patiently for another 30 minutes, and hr past our scheduled appt time, and then asked her again if she would be willing to give us an estimate so I could know if I needed to reschedule other things in my day. She was clearly frustrated with me asking her and gruffly replied that we would be waiting an additional 30 minutes. I told her we couldn't wait that long and told her that they should consider letting people know upfront how long they would be waiting. I was not unkind, but she turned her back and ignored me without an apology for the wait or any offer of help. I have never written a bad review for any place before, but was so frustrated with how I was treated here. Go somewhere else and wait. I appreciate kindness and honesty no matter how backed up you are. read more
