Run away as fast as you can. There are so many broken things in the apartment. We were told they would be fixed over the last 10 days and now it's moving day. Everything is in the same condition. Windows that won't close, gaps between the window and the outside. AC that cannot keep up due to the holes in the walls. Closet doors that will not open. Bathroom vents that don't work. The entire vent has been taken apart in all the pieces left on top of the toilet tank. Paint bucket left in the apartment. Broken windowsills, windows that will not close all the way. Large gaps full of nasty crumbs in the flooring. Ceiling fan in bedroom does not work. Fewer than half of the lightbulbs function.
But most concerning is that the front office does not care. 10 days later, excited about moving day, we walk into nonfunctioning spaces. Our excitement turned into an overheated exhaustion and feeling of hopelessness because we cannot break the lease.
Seriously, run away. It is heartbreaking to be stuck in this horrible position with nobody on your side. read more
