Just because SCA is considered a "Christian" school does not indicate a hill of beans! There are so…read moremany kids that go here that are infecting the quality of it. To protect my kids' privacy, I won't say why I pulled my kids. However, in the time that my kids were enrolled, there was a drug bust, lack of Christian character from so many of the kids, bullying, and shockingly, such ungodly behavior. Most of this behavior is from ministers kids. I hate to have to expose this, but not many speak up and instead just turn their heads. The principal does nothing and turns his head to situations that any parent would be ballistic about. Don't waste your money. All schooling is done online. Save your money and protect your kids from the influence.

During this time, the teachers, staff and also chapel services have supported and helped my child through a dark time. Her teachers are on task with her workload. Honestly I can't see my child making it at public high school. Yes there are a small handful of students who don't obey the rules, or do drugs, but that is at every school, Christian or not. This school has christian principles that are taught. Its every students decision if they choose to be a christian. I am saving to send my second child there. The teachers are amazing. They pray over their students classrooms. I am so thankful for this school. My child would not have this support and spiritual aspect from a public high school. The pricing is a money saver. I know a few private schools charge 16 grand for tuition. Thank you to Tim Miller, the principle, the entire faculty and staff of Stockton Christian Academy for the impact you have on my child and our family. Two more of my children are Stockton Christian Academy bound!

The overall environment felt negative and, at times, openly unkind. I witnessed staff speaking to students in ways that were belittling and inappropriate. In one instance, a teacher used name-calling toward students--something that should never happen in any school, especially one that claims to reflect Christian values. Administration was equally frustrating. Concerns from both parents and students were consistently dismissed rather than addressed. Instead of feeling heard, I felt brushed off and judged. During a very difficult time in my personal life, I expected neutrality and professionalism, but instead experienced what felt like bias and a lack of basic understanding. Leadership was particularly concerning. While interactions could appear polite on the surface, the follow-through told a very different story. Decisions felt inconsistent and unfair, making it hard to trust the administration at all. The front office experience made things even worse. Shannon, who is often the first point of contact, was repeatedly rude and unprofessional in my interactions. The tone was unwelcoming and dismissive, which sets a terrible example for both families and students. First impressions matter, and in this case, they reflected a much deeper problem within the school culture. To be fair, not every staff member reflects this environment--Mrs. Quilcy stands out as kind, patient, and genuinely supportive of students. She deserves recognition for the way she treats families. Unfortunately, one positive example does not outweigh the broader issues. For a school that promotes faith and character, the lack of compassion, professionalism, and willingness to listen was deeply disappointing. I cannot recommend this school to families looking for a supportive and respectful environment

The teachers and staff are wonderfully communicative and genuinely work to build strong partnerships with parents. The coursework strikes a great balance--challenging students while still ensuring they fully understand the material.

Our children graduated from St.Marys where we believe they had opportunities to excel in a community of caring friends and teachers. My grandson is currently attending and his brother and cousins will follow him. The school works hard to provide everything with limited funds through the lowest tuition in Northern California. Many generous supporters have allowed the school to continue to improve facilities to benefit the students. Private schools have provided a secure and structured environment for learning, we thank Annunciation School for giving our grandchildren a good base to rise from. A great investment in your child's future!

Underneath the surface, there is bullying, racism, judgmental exclusion, and status that separates everyone--no matter how many orientations are planned. Once you make a single mistake, you become the subject of gossip. When you try to make a change, you're ignored. Being a minority further aggravates the problem, whether one is a person of color, disabled, a girl, or all of the above. When you succeed, others will try to make you fail. There is a good group of staff in this school, but the good doesn't erase the toxic parts of this school. The students aren't the issue; the fostering environment for hate is, which allows these issues to bubble to the surface. The headmasters act with little impact, and they also ignore recurring problems to benefit the school's reputation. But hey, the school is private, so nothing bad can happen on their watch.

When we moved, within two days his new teacher had him figured out had us take him to the doctor and quickly diagnosed his learning disability. After three years of schooling our son was 1-1/2 years behind his peers. We did some digging and found test scores and other information never brought to our attention that showed he was struggling and it was easy to see that his problems were not behavior but the lack of training and experience of the staff when dealing with any student that doesn't fit in their box. When I brought my concerns to the superintendent of schools to try and make sure that the systemic problems were addressed so that no other parents had to pay the high tuition to find out their child was not getting the help and education they need. The schools response was that they had done nothing wrong and that the contract I signed says nothing about their responsibility to educate their students. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the only recourse I had which was stopping payment on the last months tuition they sent me to collections. Here we are nine years later and I just got another call from their collection agency, which means that even though they couldn't educate my child they for sure have the resources to make sure that my bill keeps getting submitted to collections. What a "Christian" way to be! Lakeside Christian puts on a good front, but their curriculum is outdated and stale, their teachers are untrained and ill equipped and there focus is on turning a profit not sound education. Parents beware, we found out the hard way that even though these private "Christian" schools charge huge amounts of money they are not regulated to any standard. They do not have any mandate to make sure that your child gets what they need. And don't take it from me but right from the lips of their own superintendent they are under no obligation to actually educate your children.
