The teachers--Mrs. To (Kindergarten), Mrs. Ente (First Grade), Mrs. Reed (Second Grade), and Mrs. Brink (Third Grade)--along with Mrs. Amen and Mrs. Wright, have truly brought out the best in them. My girls have become more vocal, confident in expressing themselves, and comfortable working both independently and in group settings. They have both made many wonderful friends, and it's heartwarming to witness the strong sense of community among the staff and parents. The events hosted by the school are fantastic, and the involvement of parents makes them even more special. I feel like we've found the perfect place for our girls to learn and grow. If you're considering a private school, I highly recommend making Presentation Catholic School your home. My child chose to move to this middle school even though she could have stayed at her K-8…read moreelementary school. It was definitely a good move. Teachers are here because they actually like junior high kids, as does the principal, Mr. Asplund. And the big population of just 12-14 year olds means there are lots of choices for finding friends. We have appreciated the structured day and the opportunity for interesting elective classes. The kids have a very regular schedule with few surprises. They have every subject every day, including p.e. The band program and the math education have been especially strong. The few weaknesses here are really the fault of the State of California, not the school itself. The school lacks any kind of foreign language instruction, and despite building a beautiful library, the school can no longer afford a librarian. There is a strict dress code here (not a uniform) which may or may not appeal to everyone, but it serves its purpose and is easy enough to follow. Being near the campus of Lincoln High also gives the students some familiarity with the high school before starting there. Go Sierra go!

Out on Davis Road in North Stockton when I went to school there it was during a time there was hardly a home around the school...just the golf course across the street. Now new homes completely surround the school on both sides. I had teachers like Mrs. Wolmack (twice) and Mrs. Littleton. It was an amazing place to spend 6 years of my life. I got in trouble from time to time...I did know what the inside of the front office looked like. For the most part I was a good kid and I got a great education. Thanks Lodi Unified School District! Elkhorn still looks pretty much the same today as it did back then...it just looks a whole lot smaller now...I guess maybe I am just a whole lot bigger than I was back then. :0)

This school is garbage. My kids got physically and verbally abused and my mistake was to never report it to the police because I don't like the "slave patrol" but I should to keep records of everything they have failed me in. Rampant bullying that the teachers and principal encouraged with their attitude of "that doesn't…read morehappen here" as well as a lousy math and science program (I had to catch up after transferring out in 7th grade). High student attrition - I recall there being 50 kindergartners and 12 8th graders when I went, with the school losing students each year. Also lots of teacher turnover, with most having no more than a few years of experience. A typical science "assignment" consisted of the teacher writing a paragraph on the board about something nature related, students copied it, and then they were graded on how accurately they had copied it. At my next school I had to recover emotionally (from the bullying at Carden) as well as catch up academically. I went there in the 90's so this is a review of the old not the current school, but I would never send my own child somewhere like that.

I kept getting unusual incidents reports and made me think that they weren't watching the children. I've also noticed that they choose favorites which is unprofessional. The preschool itself has had some other incidents with leaving children by themselves. The teachers there I feel they didn't have enough experience with children. Which led me to believe that my two children won't be safe most of the time. There is only one teacher there who is really good and she's had the most experience. If you do enroll your children there make sure they are verbal so they can tell you if anything is wrong.
