When I called the next morning, they confirmed the cancellation but initially couldn't explain why. After pressing for an answer, I was told it was due to an equipment issue. The most frustrating part wasn't the equipment problem--it was the complete lack of communication and the failure to proactively reschedule me. These tests were supposed to help determine whether I could avoid a more invasive and costly procedure scheduled for the following week. Unfortunately, they had no local availability before then, and the earliest appointment was in Glendale just two business days beforehand. To add insult to injury, I finally received a text telling me to reschedule five minutes before my original appointment time. I contacted Yavapai Regional instead, and they got me in on the same day as the Glendale appointment. Everyone there was friendly, compassionate, and helpful. Lesson learned: I'll be choosing Yavapai Regional over SimonMed for any future imaging.

Yesterday, I was there for a routine knee X-ray. The woman who checked me in was very kind and very professional. However, what I witnessed by two different customers while waiting for my X-ray, was appalling. One older man was extremely rude to one of the staff at check in, shouting at her before storming out of the waiting area. The other was a middle-aged woman. A tech from the back came out to try and explain an issue with her and was immediately, rudely interrupted by this woman and dismissed with a wave of her hand. This staff member was very calm, very soft spoken and trying to impart information that this woman clearly did NOT want to hear. As soon as the technician graciously thanked her and walked away, the woman started complaining to all those sitting around her about how she didn't want to hear anything this tech had to say. I do NOT understand why customers are allowed to get away with such verbal abuses toward staff that are there to help customers, follow the policies and practices of SimonMed Imaging, and do their jobs! In my humble opinion, there should be signs posted stating that mistreatment including verbal or physical abuse of staff and patients will NOT be tolerated. Maybe then, some of the RUDE customers that visit SimonMed Imaging will get the message.

The hospital said it was unusual that a cardiologist wouldn't do this procedure himself and said they would have to contact other cardiologists to try to arrange. Never heard back after repeated contacts to both Gordon's office and the hospital. As for the heart monitor, I returned it per their instructions. However, I never received the results. I contacted Gordon's office numerous times for the results and my Primary Care Doctor tried at least 2 different times with no results. However, Gordon's office was very punctual in billing me and demanding payment for the amount the insurance companies did not cover, even though they did not give me the test results. My advice, look elsewhere for a Cardiologist.
