Dr. Alyssa is truly one of the best doctors we've ever had. My parents have been seeing Dr. Alyssa for about a year now, and I can honestly say she is one of the kindest, warmest, most genuine primary care doctors you will ever meet. She doesn't talk down to you or rush you -- when you speak with her, it feels like talking to a good friend who truly cares. What really stands out is how incredible she has been with my parents, who both have dementia. We were previously going to one of the top dementia clinics in all of Arizona, but Dr. Alyssa has done more for them with her compassion, patience, and understanding than any specialist has. She explains everything clearly, takes her time, and always makes sure we understand the plan moving forward. She has a true heart for people, especially seniors with cognitive issues, and her kindness shows in every interaction. It's no surprise she already has a 5-out-of-5 star rating(in my eyes)-- she absolutely deserves it. I would just like to say i was alittle nervous going in today.. But once i got up to the front desk and talked too one of the ladies it calmed my nerves right away she was very friendly and nice. Then when i got to meet with Dr. Miyram Rose she was very easy to talk too about things that have been troubling me for some time now very easy to interact with no judgements listens to her patients in full detail . When your sick, you call a doctor right? Well that's what I thought I was doing when I called this optima medical. I'm sick and I need to see a doctor and my mother recommended this place so I do everything they ask me to do to set up the appt and then it's scheduled. Then I get a text message saying that since I'm sick they cannot see me!! Wow!! Just plain WOW!!! These are our doctors America !! That's right !! SINCE IM SICK THEY CANNOT SEE ME! WOW! I have been waiting for a week for them to call the pharmacy for a refill for my blood pressure medicine. They are ignoring me. I keep contacting them and not getting any results. They are also charging me for services on a day I wasn't even there. This is poor. I'm new to this area and I've never been treated like this. Was very good place for healthcare until 6 months ago. Called with a question about my charts and was spoken to in the most unprofessional way I have ever seen and not just in healthcare. There are very helpful and nice front office people, Nurses are very good and Nurse Practitioners that are very good as well and respectful but unfortunately it's changed and gotten worse over the last few months and has been very unorganized and now just disrespectful to their patients. I don't want to name any names because that's not why I'm writing this I hope they get better just be aware. As for the type of healthcare received I was better off the day before I walked in there for the first time a year ago and my elderly parents have said the same thing. read more

Don't bother wasting your time with Linda Nelson pain management. She isn't flexible and has her own set of rules. she can change appointments and call in medication if she's got a personal issue but doesn't bend at all for her patients. Refused to let me have a telehealth appointment because I was hospitalized and had surgery that week and hadn't slept and was dizzy and SOB. She simply didn't care and said I needed to drive anyway and if I missed the appointment she would refuse to call in my medication knowing I had taken the same medication for 6 years. She is a woman without compassion and simply writes prescriptions. Actually lied saying she couldn't write a pain pill prescription without me peeing first. When she had her foot surgery she canceled my appointment and called in my prescription without my urine. Now how was that possible for her to break the rules when she decided she wanted to. She's fake, liar, not a people person and just another healthcare worker that is getting a paycheck. read more

I really like going to this place they have different doctors with different things. Actually they're PAs, but I would say some of them actually should be doctors because they are actually very very good... I gave them five stars because I do appreciate the help that they give us when we are sick. Extremely hard to find decent PAs and or doctors in Yavapai county. We are so shorthanded with all of our doctors that our doctors are overcrowded and it's hard to book a appointment because the lack of doctors and nurses here. read more

Had an urgent issue, was sent for a stat ultrasound, it's been two days and a phone call to follow up and still no communication regarding results. Additionally back office staff are pushy about getting annual blood work and other assessments completed, not exactly a patient pleaser when you come in needing assistance with a painful issue. NP was kind however did not convey any follow up directions. read more

I was called 2 days in a row to go have blood work done appointment made for 11:00 this morning 4/28/22 at the Dewey office .get checked in wait for 20 plus minutes get called back person can't find the orders in the computer. This is the second time I have had this happen. Really annoyed this office needs to get it's shit together tired of wasting my time maybe need to look for a new provider. read more

I came 10 mins early for a blood draw appointment (not a walk in). Proceeded to be checked in with dark haired lady stationed in the middle. Sat down waited an hour asked blond on the right if I was checked in and was this normal for a blood draw? She said yes your checked in so I returned to my seat. Within 5 mins I was in the lab area and getting test done. Lab tech was on point gentle quick and professional. read more

I am updating my last (negative) review. I was contacted by their Manager who was very apologetic for their business office failing to take the appropriate actions to submit the bill to my supplement insurance. Optima reimbursed me in full for the payment. Considering this positive outcome I would now give them 4 stars. Their quality of care has always bee very good. read more

I just waited 5 days to get covid results back for my daughter's and when I called this morning, I was informed that the tests were inconclusive due to the lab mixing up the swabs and could I come back in and have them re-swabbed? I'm sorry, what?? I wish I could say this was the first time I've had an issue with this place, but I have been bringing my family here for almost 5 years and every single time there is some sort of issue. I was holding out hope that with the optima buy out, things would turn around and be more professional, you know, like a family medical practice? This is absolutely ridiculous. I am switching my primary care today! Also, these women up front need a serious crash course in customer service. They are incredibly snotty and sarcastic. Especially Nicole. I've spoken with her particularly 3-4 times and she has a pretty major attitude problem. A little compassion with sick patients goes a long way. read more

I have tried to be patient tried to give this place a chance even though I have received poor service here multiple times before. I tried because I felt that my nurse practitioner was an excellent provider. I went here this morning and I was told to come 15 minutes early I got there at 11:24 it became 12:05 still had not seen anyone. In approximately February I was told at the front desk that I need to pay a bill with three bills on it one from 11/2021 two from this year even though if I receive a bill in the mail I always pay it right away. Actually last year around middle of December I was told I needed to pay from 11/21 and two other bills from that year it sounded wrong but I payed it. The front desk person told me to call billing I called left message they never call back. I got upset today cause I'm sick I left I called back cause I want to make sure I don't get billed I'm trying to explain to person on phone they just tell me to stop yelling I'm not im crying cause I'm so sick and I can't get help I call back again the other person hung up on me It's a different person I tell her how I don't want to get charged because I have before double but I threw away my receipts because I trusted them to do their job. So please don't charge me. Never going back there. Also once they completely forgot about me even though I was checked in so I was waiting I waited an hour maybe more I didn't want to say anything but I finally did they were apologetic but nevertheless I was forgotten read more

went in to get my annul physical and they went OVER in what you should get, then billed my insurance that was not suppose, didn't discuss anything with them, in fact the FNP didn't even speak to me, looked at her computer ordered labs and even that was exceeded. this was in June and STILL trying to get it cleared with my insurance so I don't get charged extra for another year. they have not sent a bill to our insurance with my husband's visit either, not only is their staff not competent but their billing which is in Scottsdale not competent. don't go there, all run by FNP, you never see a MD! and don't answer their questions that does not pertain to your visit that will be another charge! they have on my billing that I talked about depression. to my surprise I didn't say a word to them. it was the questionnaire you have to fill out while you wait 2 hours to be seen. everything I marked was NO NO NO. save yourself the headache and frustration, don't go to ANY of the Optima medical businesses they have in your area! read more
