One agreed to work on it for two days for $700 with no guarantee of success. A fine body shop told me it was an unusual tree sap and knew of no way to get rid of it. Isiah looked at it carefully and said he could start right away. He worked steadily for 5 hours; the paint looks as good as when I purchased it new two years ago. They do require an appointment for an estimate and I missed that appointment due to issues that came up at work. When I arrived the following day my adjuster looked perplexed and kept explaining that I missed my appointment and that he couldn't do my estimate. He asked if I called them regarding the missed appointment and I had not because I had already been told that they just needed pictures and would email the estimate the following business day. The absolute apathy and disregard I have faced from Modern Body Shop has left me embarrassed and ashamed for ever taking my car here in the first place. I have received one (1) phone call from them since giving them a $5000 down payment. At this point I feel robbed. If i never called them, I would quite literally never hear from them. each time I call for a status update, I am told the same story about some delay that's 'out of their control'. Even as I plead that I cannot afford a rental car much longer, they hold not an ounce of empathy. They have no shame for the struggle they have inflicted and still are yet to have an actual time frame for when the car will be completed. Never in my life have I ever felt so disrespected and degraded as a customer of a business. I feel scammed, cheated, and throw aside. My situation cannot get much worse, but I hope that my story can save others. Please, whatever you do, keep your car as far from Modern Body Shop as possible.
