I used Premier for a recent trip with a group of seniors, and I had a similar experience to what others have mentioned. Several issues came up during the trip that gave the impression that this company is indifferent to client safety: 1. Weather Warnings Ignored: Premier scheduled a walking tour during an extreme weather warning. It was a group of seniors with mobility issues trying to navigate cobblestones with walking aids and umbrellas. This decision not only disrupted the itinerary but also placed participants at risk. 2. Emergency Situations Mishandled: While the company claims to excel in handling emergencies, they instead created dangerous situations. A couple people in our group were hospitalized due to slips and falls that could have been easily avoided. This was separate from the walking tour. 3. Flight Rebooking Issues: once we arrived in the country, Premier left us stranded at the airport to just figure out ourselves how to get to the final destination, a hundred miles away. Premier was part of an active text conversation that several members of the group were not handling the stress of this well, and were not in good shape and needed help getting to the hotel. They did nothing. 4. Unresponsive Customer Service: Following the trip, I emailed Premier repeatedly to address these concerns. They ignored my messages and refused to provide documentation required for my travel insurance claim, when the airline confirmed they could only release it to the booking agency. 5. Inadequate Compensation: Premier offered a $200 travel credit as compensation. You couldn't pay me to ever use this company again. Too dangerous, too risky, too stressful. I cannot recommend this company to anyone. Their negligence created dangerous conditions, left participants scrambling to problem-solve, and caused unnecessary financial strain. If you value safety, organization, and responsive customer service, I suggest looking elsewhere. read more

We got home yesterday from a PWT tour of Arizona sites, staying in Sedona with a group of seniors through our college alumni ass'n. Good parts: The itinerary was a nearly perfect mix of new (Sedona) and old (Wupatki); of history and natural sites; of passive site-seeing and more active events like shopping or a live music show. Lodging was good and services (e.g. baggage handling) solid. Bad part: Our tour guide 1) The guide does not understand why people visit historic/geologic sites. Example: he criticized tourists who read the interpretive signs on the trails and told us we should instead take photos of them to read later so we can keep moving. Example: The various rooms at the Wupatki Pueblo are marked only by number; you need the trail brochure to know what you're looking at. And yet our guide did not tell us about that brochure (never mind provide it or come on the trail with us to explain himself). Instead, he stayed in the bus reading a novel. We didn't realize we needed the brochure until we had already walked about a quarter mile to the site. Halfway through the time allotted for the visit, one of our party had to run back to the ranger station to get the brochure, and some who were eager to see petroglyphs entirely missed them because they did not know where to look for them. 2) Believe it or not, he did not like questions. Yes, for real: a tour guide who does not like questions. When any of our group asked a question, this guide would either: a) interrupt before they finished asking (I got the feeling he felt emotionally compelled to demonstrate that he had heard and answered every question a hundred times already); b) scold them--e.g.,"I already covered that;" or "That was in your instructions," or c) dismiss the question without answering it (e.g., Q: What's the real name of that mountain you're calling "Ray's Hell"? (Ray was the bus driver.) A: "I'll get to that later; just be patient." (Notice it would have been both more polite and easier for him simply to say "San Francisco Mountain.") He didn't even like it when any of us asked questions of other guides. He told us to ignore/tune out the conductor on our first train, and when one of our party asked the 'conductor' on the other train a question during her intro spiel, our guide snapped, "Let her finish!", startling the conductor, embarrassing the person who asked the question, and making everyone else within earshot uncomfortable. 3) He seemed to delight in disparaging people/things he dislikes (e.g., previous tour groups, other tour guides, people he used to work with, etc.) and ridiculing people he claimed to like. Example: While we were on the road, he was so eager to ridicule bad drivers that he would interrupt his own narration every time he saw another motorist do something like fail to signal a lane change. He made us wait to hear the rest of his explanation until he finished complaining about the other drivers. Example: He claimed to like our bus driver but nevertheless repeatedly told embarrassing stories about him. Example: Even when someone's error was water under the bridge (e.g., mishearing or forgetting an instruction), he would not miss the opportunity needlessly to point out their mistake. read more

At first, everything was fine. They were responsive and answered all my questions unlike after we got home. They never answered my 2 emails or returned my phone call. Upon arrival in Iceland, we had missed the first tour of Reykjavík and a museum. They reported to BBB that we had booked our own flight so we arrived too late. Nothing was said prior to our trip that this would happen and they were aware of our arrival time. Also there was an additional waterfall added that was great for everyone else but I had booked a separate tour on our "free day" just so we could see it. We were offered the first day tour on our "free day" but we had already committed to a one day tour with Viator. The tour was over $7000 for 2. I requested $200 each and was offered $100pp token or credit. I will never use this company again. Since the company was professional at first, I never expected that I would have to file a complaint with the BBB in order to get a response. read more

My experience with them was both frightening and infuriating, with a disregard for our safety and well-being that's difficult to describe. I was part of a group of senior citizens who relied on Premier for safe, guided travel, and boy oh boy was that NOT what we got. Our incoming flight was rerouted to an airport hundreds of miles from our destination. These things happen, and that's ok. Premier said it was because the original airport closed that night (when I checked, no such closure ever happened). It was a bummer to spend the night without our luggage in an airport hotel rather than the pricey resort we paid for, but still, you just try to move on. Then, after traveling for 36 hours and arriving in a different airport than planned, Premier totally forgot to organize transport to the hotel, a hundred miles away! After traveling for 36 hours, we arrived in a foreign city exhausted and stranded with no way to reach our destination (which was inaccessible by public transportation). Premier's response? "... Enjoy the adventure." They had a full working day's notice, and they left the whole group, including elderly with mobility issues who were totally exhausted, just to figure it out. We had to pay over a thousand dollars of our own money to hire private drivers. And yeah, we had to organize all that ourselves, in a foreign country and in a foreign language that no one in the whole group spoke. Pretty scary. This is coming from a company that prides itself on being there in case of an emergency. The worst part was, this wasn't going to be the last emergency on the trip where Premier totally dropped the ball. The hotel they eventually placed us in was isolated, miles from the nearest village, with no transportation options. There were days where we'd be driving for four hours to get to a nondescript lake and then drive back to the resort we coiuldn't leave. If anyone needed essentials, or wanted to go into the town, they were out of luck. We joked that the only way out was in an ambulance--sadly, this became true when multiple people had a serious accidents because of Premier's bad judgment. One person is still hospitalized overseas and unable to got to their own home, with family having to take time off their work to fly out to help. This incident, like the rest of the trip, showed Premier's total disregard for our well-being in favor of profit. These tours aren't cheap, but oh man will you pay for it. Yikes. Premier's idea of compensation? A $100 check and a $200 travel credit with them in the future. Why would anyone want a credit with a company that's so dangerous? Our bus driver and guide were great, but Premier's support, planning, and care were non-existent. If you value your safety, steer clear of this company. If you value your safety and well-being, avoid this company at all costs. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. read more

DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES. Do not let your group get duped into using Premier. The representative giving the presentation to get people to sign up lured us with a $100 per person Booking Discount "if you pay our final payment by check before the final payment due date". Then later tell you that if you make ANY payment by credit card, it disqualifies you from the discount. And they're sticking to it when the trip cost exceeds $3,700.00!!! We Just completed a tour with Premier World Designs to Sedona, AZ! It was fabulous! First class all the way! Our tour guide was amazing. All in all the trip was ok, a bit too rushed for a senior visit. most of the group was over 70 the problem I had was with our hotel Adua in Montecatini Terme. The airline misplaced two pieces of our luggage, not the fault of the hotel, but the lack of customer service at the front desk was nonexistent in helping with trying to reach the airline to see about our our luggage. The food was mediocre at best. The only good thing about the food was the wine, which is not saying much. The rooms were stuffy which forced us to sleep with the windows open which meant being attacked mosquitos. I finally had to call the main office in California to get help I was advised our tour guide should be the one I reach out to, now he knew we were struggling with getting help why wouldn't he offer help????? Then the worst was when we arrived in Rome I realized my prescription glasses had been stolen from my luggage. Again I was told I should keep my valuables with me. I wear contacts but for flying I wear my glasses, why would I think someone would want to wear my prescription glasses. Then I was told by Premier it was my word against theirs so they could not do anything. Would I ever recommend Premier to anyone, NEVER NEVER read more

IDAHO ADVENTURE Trip departure date changed to make it exclusive to Sun City Zoomers only! Upon arrival at the Spokane airport, we were greeted by Kathleen Fitzgerald (KF). Told we would be waiting for others to join our group. To our chagrin 22 of us waited for two hours for one non Zoomers guest. At that point, I called Premier World Discovery (PWD) headquarters and was transferred to a lady named Delta and was told we needed to WAIT which delayed 22 Sun City Zoomers guests from the pleasure of enjoying any free time to explore the beautiful area around the resort in Coeur d'Alene that day. During our travel on day 2, our highly trained tour director (KF) never communicated the problem with the coach's air condition system as the temperature in the bus reached over 90 degrees. Eventually, the bus driver informed us of the problem that couldn't be resolved. The third day we headed to Riggins, ID and the Salmon River Inn. The accommodations at this hotel will make Motel 6 look like a 5 star resort. The Salmon River Inn was old and in desperate need of updating and repair. A far cry from first class travel when we pay approximately $500/day per person for this trip. Riggins is without any sort of fine dinning. On day five we traveled from Riggins to Sun Valley, ID. We left the hotel at 8:30 AM after breakfast and arrived in McCall, ID at 9:40 AM and had to wait around for an early unneeded and unwanted lunch at 11:15 AM at the McCall Brewery. This unnecessary stop caused us to cancel our scheduled stop at Red Fish Lodge and also arrive at the Sun Valley Resort LATE! We were never informed that there was a sheep convention at the resort and along with our 5:30 PM arrival made dinner reservations impossible. Again, we could have arrived 2 hours earlier to enjoy the beautiful resort. Another missed opportunity and failure to communicate. On our seventh day (departure day) we had to leave the resort at 8:45 AM and arrived at the Boise airport at 11:30 AM for a 3:00 PM flight. Again, 22 of us had to conform to non Zoomers schedule. We could have spent a leisurely breakfast at the resort. I question, why weren't booked on the non-stop flight from Boise to Austin on Alaska Airlines. My understanding the fares are very competitive. The deception, "bait and switch," along with shortsighted planning will be shared with social media about this recently merged company. Expected a lot more from Premier World Discovery/Affordable First Class. read more

When the World Premier representative came to prepare us for our upcoming international excursion she failed to warn us that we needed to have an international forms filled out before we were allowed to board the plane causing panic before the trip even started. This company misrepresented what we were suppose to see. Grace Cathedral was listed as something we would see. I didn't expect that we would be told when we pass through an intersection to looked down the street and it would be on the next block. Since I was on the wrong side of the bus, I missed it completely. I only saw the dome from several blocks away. Our return trip was not thought out well either. Our group which was traveling the furthest had to endure a 4 1/2 hour bus ride, a 1 1/2 hour connecting flight, plus transfer times between and before boarding our final flight home. I realized they were concerned about traffic so we left almost 6 hours before our first flight and then because of crew problems we sat on the tarmac over an hour which made our last transfer a frantic rush to the last flight. I realize it isn't Premier's fault in the flight delay, but we did order a wheel chair which was no where to be found during our one transfer going over and another transfer coming back. Had we waited for the chair we would have definitely missed our flights. I wrote to Premier World Tours over a month ago to suggest that their employee be more informative before the trip and to also complain about not seeing everything that was advertised. There has been no response. Our tour guide was very nice and tried hard to make up for what was obvious problems with the trip, but I would not travel with this company again. read more

The tour was really well done and was very organized. The reason I gave three stars is because of our tour guide Pamela Boudrot. She was the ABSOLUTE worst tour guide. Had I known before that I would be stuck with her, I would never have gone. An absolute waste of my money. She was rude, inconsiderate, and when we had a problem with anything, such as our hotel room, and asked her questions, she would yell at us instead of fixing the issue. I got her on a trip to Brazil and it was the worst. If Premier World Tours is reading this review, please FIRE this woman. She is the reason I am telling everyone I know that this is not a good tour company to choose. read more

I have been working with this company since November to solidify a Cape Code trip that was verbally interesting as well as receiving their new catalog specifying the dates and places we had talked about and committing to......May 14th or May 30,, 2020. They do NOT deserve even one star but that is the only way you can post a message. I placed the reservation today only to be told THEY CANNOT COMMIT TO EITHER DATE IN MAY, plus the other dates are more money although I would not go anyway. I only travel mid-September to May to avoid school children and their own events. Maybe it is a blessing in disguise seeing that others have bitterly complained about this tour company. However, it was referred to me by a company I use all the time but that company was not going to the Cape this year. I would not use, nor trust, this company ever again. Very sad.... read more

I should begin with what is good about this company. I booked a Danube River Cruise with them before the COVID pandemic was known. All together, I paid $1,500 for the deposit. There was a $500 non refundable portion. When the pandemic occurred, the company was willing to refund all but the $500 portion, which they offered as a voucher for future bookings. They have been responsive to my emails. Now here is why I give them 1 star only. The company is unwilling to give a cash refund for the $500. I have reviewed other river cruises policies in this unique time. They are willing to refund 100% of monies up to 24 hrs before. This company I assume is using the pandemic for their own gains. When asked how the $500 was used, there is no answer given. I have never worked with this company before and so cannot speak for the quality of their product. I can however speak to the quality of their character, it is poor. I do not recommend using this company. read more

I have been on a number of tours before. This was probably my least favorite. We were on a bus that was not well equipped. The window decal blocked people from seeing outdoors there was no cupholder which sounds minor but when you have a water bottle or cup of coffee you would like some place to rest it while you're traveling. The seats seemed real close together and there was not enough storage in the overhead compartment. As far as the trip itself I don't feel the hotels were up to par. There was one really nice hotel and the others were mediocre. I think it was overpriced and I would probably not use this company for touring again. read more
