Okay let me begin stating I'm not a travel agent what do I have any affiliation to celebrity or their parent Royal Caribbean Cruise line. I'm just an average Joe customer, I travel 50% for business in the average year and we like to cruise. I'm in my 50s and I have sailed with my spouse on 68 Ocean voyages across several cruise lines... I've sailed out of Japan, in the Mediterranean, countless times in the Caribbean, Mexico and Alaska. Plus one Panama canal Transit. We have well over 200 days at sea... Our favorite cruise lines at present are Disney and Celebrity. So the Edge was launched in 2018 with a cost of about $900 million. The inflation adjusted replacement cost is 1.2 billion for a ship that's 1,004 ft long on 130,000 tons with a max capacity of about 3,500 passengers. According to Captain Kate it's the most expensive ship of its size. For the money I would say it's rather exceptional and very much to our liking. Where to begin? I'd like to say that Cruz staff into cosmopolitan main dining room, the sailing that began July 17th, 2011 at table 333 with Dewy and Queenie was expert professional, gushing with courtesy and attention... Zero missed opportunities and deserving of our highest recommendation! My spouse and I were in cabin 8,313, and our daughters and 9,115. Our cabin stewards were exceptionally polite attentive with no missed opportunities to impress. We had negatively questions and issues which were instantly resolved and rendered inconsequential. To be fair all of our staff contacts from having a word with the maintenance guy on the window washing scaffold who is painting rust inhibitor as he rolled past our cabin... To the frequent contacts with staff into buffet cafe roaming the floor and serving portions.... To even include the numerous staff who were just walking by sprinkling smiles, a word of good afternoon or good evening to us, or to many occasions when staff would pause and ask with sincere and patient timing how are cruise is going? We've only recently started sailing celebrity... The prior sailing was on the millennium out of Alaska. That was impressive... However the Edge is easily on a level that matches and actually exceeds any Disney cruise ship! We typically pay twice as much to sail on Disney and they are far distance ahead of competitors. We found most of the entertainment to be impressive for technical reasons as well as for the sheer power of their performances. We had a magician whom I think was named Joel? We had a vocalist for 2 performances, (tribute to Aretha Franklin and a montage of classic hits) ... Who performed with her daughter... Her voice was powerful and impressive. She carried on her performances with an aura all her own. Then there was the ships' production dancers and orchestra. The dancers had precision and grace. From the audience you can tell the orchestra which consisted of maybe seven or eight instrumentalists was charismatic, and right on the beat! Our daughters love celebrity because they love the quality, variety, presentation in cuisine. They loved everything about the dining. The only specialty restaurant we visited was Raw on five... We went in twice. They also earned maximum marks for service and cuisine. Almost every day our daughters asked if we could go back in to raw on five. So the ship itself boasted some features and changes to the mix of expectation that nudge it higher and higher, further ahead of all competitors except Disney who put on a race to the finish line against them. I love the fact it's not like carnival with a loudspeaker from the bridge inside the room. The only time we heard Bridge announcements were on debarcation day (speaker on verandah. Some might quip certain design elements strike You as coming from IKEA. No I think it's pretty obvious The level of quality is a healthy cut above. It is contemporary, and innovative... And dare I say it really strikes you just right as being simply beautiful again and again and again all over the ship. Taking a step back for objective comparison... Other ships are just simply tacky. Other ships are just heavy-handed with their design elements. Most other ships have a ship's library... This one doesn't on the edge. In fact on Deck 3 they have intentionally left a segment of the wall revealing the interior structure of the hull? That's innovative thinking That's really cool for those with any kind of engineering or construction background. Captain Kate, we missed her at the captain's club reception... However we met her in the theater, at the captain's talk and on the debarcation ramp. Her presentation in the "Meet captain Kate" talk was insightful, Entertaining and impressive. Our impression was that she was innovative and groundbreaking... The first American woman to captain a major cruise ship ... it's quite an accomplishment. Her cat, Bud Naked is it real charmer. At any rate we will be going back specifically to sail The Edge again... You should too!

Best ship I have ever sailed. I truly believe this ship suits me and my hubby the best. It was like it was created for us with all our favorite things rolled up into one. Let's start with the decor and colors of navy blue and orange. Once onboard we get a drink on the Magic Carpet which is beautifully done with the accent color if orange. Of course bottles of Veuve Cliquot to match prominently displayed in their matching orange ice buckets. From their I head to our cabin I definitely do not want to leave. The bathroom is all marble a d generously sized shower. The bedding is nice and comfy accented in purple and beige. Definitely need to redecorate when I get home. The TV choices are many including first run movies included. I have zero time for any TV at home and they even have my beloved HGTV. So on to the important stuff the food. It would probably take me more than one cruise to try everything but we tried. We had brunch on one sea say at the Le Grand bistro this included lobster tails and crab. Mimosas were flowing which lend itself to a nice afternoon nap. Instead of one main dining room there is four to choice from Tuscan,Cosmopolitan,A French one and a Greek one their names escape me right now. Tonight we have reservations on our last night for the steakhouse called Fine Cut. Now for breakfast I have always sworn the dining room but their buffet at the Oceanview cafe the choices were numerous as well as many items are made to order. I had a two egg omelette yesterday with fresh veggies that had me thinking about it all day this included the fresh asparagus and jalapeno just the perfect amount nothing overwhelmed the other ingredients. In the gym they had my favorite Pure Barre classes. But for today more lounging in the Solarium just the joy of peace and quiet. I love this ship and lucky for me I have booked Apex it's sister ship coming out next year.

Let me start with a disclaimer that I am a non-cruiser. I've been on one other cruise in my entire life 10 years (Carnival Fascination). When I think of cruising I think of all the typical stereotypical stuff like ugly neon lights, nautical decor, cheesy shows and bad food. The newest ship to the Celebrity family is a game-changer, especially for people like me. We sailed a short 3-night preview cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to Nassau. The decor in the ship is impeccably designed from the bathrooms to the chairs to the restaurants. Gone are the days where you're required to sit at the same table each night to eat. There are like 20 different restaurant/bars/coffee shops on the ship for you to explore. The food overall is very good considering you're on a ship. The specialty restaurants we tried (Luminae and Le Petit Chef we're both excellent). I would definitely say this is more of an adult focused ship as there's no crazy water slides or flow rider or go karts, etc. It's for eating, drinking, and sleeping, the three food groups of cruising! Fave bar, hands down, was the Martini Bar, which seasoned Celebrity cruisers will be quite familiar with (no ice bar here though). Great bartenders, all from Indonesia, with their fancy tricks like pouring 6 martinis all at once. If you've never had a pickle martini try it here! Celebrity ships are not known for their entertainment/shows and I could definitely see the attempts made to improve upon this. The Eden performers were....interesting, but made me feel weird. There was also a band one night that sang a lot of Bruno Mars. Another night was a comedian. My favorite was probably the Silent Disco Party. It's just funny taking off your headphones and not hearing any music, but seeing people dancing and/or singing at the top of their lungs. We splurged on a sky suite since this would be the least expensive way to enjoy a suite with the Retreat amenities on a 3-night cruise versus a 7-night. I will say it was well worth it, to have access to Luminae, which had significantly better food than the included restaurants (we tried Cosmopolitan). Also included with the suite amenities is access to The Retreat Lounge, Pool, and Sundeck, which are all at the front top deck of the ship. The main pool got really crowded on the day we had at sea, so it was nice to have our own secluded area. What's weird is that alcoholic drinks are included in the Lounge, but not at the Sundeck which is right upstairs. Kinda wish it would just be included since you're paying the premium. Would love to sail a Celebrity ship again!

So far I am not that impressed. I am used to the bigger ships like royal Caribbean harmony of the seas. When boarding at Fl Lauderdale port Everglades, you enter through the 5th floor which is like the area for auction and art gallery. You don't get to see an atrium or lobby. Have to mine our way to the guest relations which is a bit hard to locate. The ocean view cafe buffet has glass for Ceiling to floor which is very beautiful. The food at buffet is better than Royal Caribbean but not by that much as others stated online. The room we had was veranda but the sofa was stained. Not cool. Few other misses: the housekeeping is *really* bad. We noticed that the floor was not cleaned. We picked up debris and rice on the floor. Did they really vaccuum? Also, when we tried to replace the toilet paper with the new roll, we noticed that it was shriveled meaning it's was wet before. Then I noticed poop stain on one end. People must have dropped it in toilet and replace it. Gross!!!!!! Oh btw-the window component is loose as we hear the subtle popping sound whenever there is waves. And the expensive Wi-Fi we paid for is extremely slow compared to last year when we went on harmony of the seas. Other than that it feels very cramped and small in the whole ship. I wouldn't pay more than 3000 for 2 honestly. Not worth it especially it's not met my expectations.

The passage to Eden begins the transition to a magical space beyond

As I begin this review fresh off a pre-inaugural sailing of the new Celebrity Edge I am hearing Lady Gaga's 'On The Edge' in my head. "I'm on the edge of glory And I'm hanging on a moment of truth" As the spanking new entry to the Celebrity fleet it was touted with a lot of press and high expectations. New ship. New terminal at Port Everglades. New design concept. For this experienced cruiser and his own high expectations, this voyage was full of moments of truth. The Edge not only did not disappoint, but it delighted me at every turn. There is too much to detail, so here are a few highlights: 1. The interiors are STUNNING! It was like walking into an issue of Architectural Digest with unlimited premium booze. 2. The ship has made a commitment to be 'zero landfill' meaning that the systems (double osmosis water filtration making your toilet water drinkable should you want (no judgment if you do)), turning waste into fuel, recycling everything including changing plastic water bottles to aluminum which are unlimited in their ability to recycled, rewarding the crew for recycling on board, etc. this ship is an environmental revelation. 3. Eden, a public space, restaurant, bar and entertainment space architecturally-based on Fibonacci principles is a place of magic. 4. The staterooms are sophisticated and thoughtfully designed to maximize storage for passengers while not sacrificing comfort. 5. The crew from officers to bartenders were all joyous and proud and so they should be. I'll stop gushing here. If you're a cruiser like me you get my drift and I look forward to my next voyage on the Edge or her sister ship to be released in 2020 the Apex. If you're not a cruiser or believe cruising isn't for you the Celebrity Edge will change your mind and have you singing: "I'm on the edge with you Oh, oh, oh, oh, Oh, oh, oh, on the edge with you"

Celebrity Edge is the newest ship out there. State of the art! I loved my week on her. Everything is sleek and new. Modern but tasteful touches throughout. New style of dining, with four different dining room restaurants to choose from. I'm not a fan of buffets on ships but this one blows it out of the water (no pun intended). Fantastic service everywhere! I would sail on her again tomorrow! Words do don't do her justice so please check out my photos of Celebrity Edge! Enjoy!

The main dining restaurants, as well as the buffet (Oceanview Cafe) were easily located and accessible when we chose to go.

If I could give this service zero stars then I would. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this "yacht" service…read more First, it's not a yacht. It's a sail boat. The amenities on the boat do not work. If you use the restroom, there is no working sink. You will need to bring your own sanitizer. The owner states that the boat ride will allow you to swim in the water and use kayaks. That was a LIE and false advisement. The captain of the boat was rude and ended our ride 30 mins earlier. We paid for 4 hours. When we informed the owner about the earlier arrival. He responded very rudely. View the screen shot below. Save your money and time.
