The parking spots were adequate but a bit tight and when I walked in, I was a bit confused ended up, going to the second floor and not realizing that the entry led to another entry and that's where I saw the waiting room. When I began to fill out the forms, the second form literally said that they may be a wait time or visit time up to three hours so to be patient, which I Actually appreciate it. Again the medical staff were amazing. And the doctor was awesome.

Once there I was told I had a detached retina and I needed surgery done that day or the next morning. He accused me of ignoring my eye health and scared me into thinking it could get worse by the minute. I am a schoolteacher and had only taken the morning off for the appointment and had to go back to work. My husband was also out of town, and I had no one else to drive me to surgery or help with my kids. When I told him I needed to talk to my husband and call to schedule, he had me sign a refusal of treatment paper. Once I tried calling back to schedule, it was very hard to get a return call. I had a scheduling person call while I was teaching and tell me I had to be at the hospital for pre-surgery appointment that same afternoon. Teaching school does not work like that. She also was scheduling me for surgery at a hospital not on my insurance. When they did call back it was with misinformation and not helpful with securing a date. I finally scheduled one, but I was scared it was getting worse and went to the ER because my eyesight felt like it was lessening. When the ER doctor contacted Dr Membreno's office, he said I was not his patient- he had terminated my care. What??? So unprofessional. The ER Dr. referred me to another retina specialist and said though I need surgery, it wasn't an emergency situation where it had to be done that day or week. I did have successful surgery with a different practice.

First of all the lady knows her profession inside and out, but she treats you with kindness and respect. Everything I want in a friend. We have gone to Dr Poulos off an on as my husband's cataracts got worse and he recently had surgery to replace his eye lens. Dr Poulos consulted with us. She took the time to present the facts, help us decide and explain what would happen. Her staff is also efficient and caring. They work together like a team and the educate and prepare you for your procedure. They present you with a little kit and a folder with the exact instructions easily mapped out. Overall the kindness and caring I see in Dr Poulos is also reflected in her staff. They use the latest equipment to measure and gather the information for the procedure. They give you instructions written and verbal and call you before the appointment to make sure you understand exactly what to do. Our contact for surgery scheduling made it convenient and she was very nice as she worked to get both eyes completed before the holidays. The drops that you must buy for cataract surgery can be costly. Dr Poulos works with a pharmacy that delivers but more importantly they offer a really good discount. A co-worker went to a different doctor and paid $100 for each of 3 small bottles and my average for similar 3 bottles was $65 each. A significant savings and one I would not have known about except Dr Poulous negotiates to provide their patients an easy way to get the medication at a significant savings. The staff is really good about keeping the appointments on schedule with little to no waiting so they get you in and out. We saw another doctor before selecting Dr Poulos. They had us waiting for so long (in the waiting room and in the exam room) and when we did see the doctor we got a hard sell to upgrade out of pocket. I am so glad I checked with my friend on who she had used for her cataract procedure and was happy to get the referral to Dr. Margaret Poulos.

Well, this is embarrassing…read more Should I tell? Of course. So, after the Color Run, I had trouble taking out my contact lens. I have worn contacts for at least 7 years with only one minor mishap. This is the second, more ridiculous and expensive mishap. I had a big glob in my eye, and I'm sure the color powder had something to do with it. I wanted someone good to look at it. I found this place on my insurance website. Having no clue as to whom to choose, I decided to pick a doctor that appeared to have an East Indian name. Dr. Saira Choudhri. Perfect. The office was kind of hard to find, but I did after some driving around. It's across from the Loop behind the Vitamin Shoppe in a professional office park. I just felt like everyone in the waiting room was old. I was the only young person. The feel was clinical, and rather impersonal. It needs warmth. Not a discount, just an observation. Dr. Saira Choudhri is more qualified than necessary. More beautiful than necessary. So, here I am, with blue still coming out of my nose from color run, and now yellow coming out of eyes, with a gorgeous, overqualified eye doctor taking out my daily contact lens with no effort at all that I had been trying to get out for the past 3 days. And she tells me I have allergies in that eye, gives me my drops, and I am on my way. And I am suppose to see her again in 6 months. I felt as if I was dealing with competent people here who really know their stuff. It's a professional and clean environment, and would definitely recommend. I just don't think you'll go there to make BFF. See, told you it was ridiculous.

After some monthly eye injections the blurry spot in my vision was greatly diminished. That was back in 2016. I had another episode in June 2020 after gaining weight during the COVID 19 lockdowns. Once again, they got me in right away and the blurry spot is barely visible now. On the bright side, I am very motivated to maintain a healthy weight and keep my blood pressure down. I am especially thankful for Dr. Cunningham's care and skill at making the injections as painless as possible.

We got to see Dr. Houston on this visit and he found that the retina had become partially detached and recommended immediate surgery to correct it. For this particular case they recommended we see Dr. Berrocal at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. They said she was one of the best for a retina detachment with the history we have had. In the end the surgery went very well and we are now able to see Dr. Cunningham for follow up in Orlando. If someone has a retina issue I would highly recommend any of these locations and doctors for service.
