I didn't know what to expect but whatever my expectations were, they were greatly exceeded! They were novices such as myself in the class as well as current gun owners and prior military; this was a co-ed class. They had refreshments available, to include good coffee. This is a Black owned business, and I was happy to patronize. I also purchased a unit of pepper gel and a book during our break. We did not go to the range during this class but were told we could go on our own time. I tried to use the "contact us" section of the website to get info about scheduling my range practice. I did not get a response, but this review reminded me to look at pictures I'd taken during class. I have emails and telephone numbers for the instructors, so I'll be reaching out tomorrow. If you're considering taking a course or purchasing a fire arm, you won't be disappointed using Black Diamond.

It also appeared that employees working the floor were avoiding helping with paperwork. Several staff members would go into the back room whenever customers needed assistance instead of helping. I eventually called the store and asked to speak with a manager, but instead of connecting me, the employee asked why I needed to speak with one and never actually put me through to a manager. After waiting nearly an hour without receiving any help, I ended up leaving. This was a very frustrating and unprofessional experience. I hope management or ownership at Blackstone Shooting Sports looks into what happened that evening, because customers should not be left waiting this long without assistance. Getting the blood pumping. The rest is technique. You will learn a lot of great stuff to use should you have to. Takes a while to get used to especially if you've never done it before, but you leave each class feeling exhilarated and more confident. I attended the class to get my certificate to apply for the NC concealed carry permit, but I left class with so much more.
