The compassionate care and concern extended by each and every employee, to each and every patient no matter the size or scope of injury is truly genuine. It's been said that laughter is the best medicine. The ORS staff's ability to take that to heart and make me laugh instead of cry while restoring critical flexion and function to my dominant arm was truly remarkable. The staff is friendly, communicative, and typically have a smile on. The waiting room is open, and allows a view to the rehabilitation gym (the pediatrician portion is behind a small barrier, to allow pediatric OT and PT services to be rendered). Speech language pathology services are executed in an office, in which, you're free to join and participate with (in this particular case, I join in on ST sessions with my daughter; to learn any new methods, possible equipment, communicate with the SLP [speech language pathologist]). It's a little small (the office), but it offers an intimate session for parents/client to therapist. In my daughter's case, she was born premature due to an automobile accident, so no-fault auto covers the cost. Check your insurance to make sure you're covered in network or out of network, and any deductibles you may need to pay. NOTE: coordinated policy allows your health provider to work with your auto insurer (or whomever insured you at the date/time of loss). In this scenario, for example, BCBSM (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan) pays for a portion first, then no-fault auto picks up the rest. Currently, we've been working on straw drinking, and continuing goals from our prior establishment of therapy, in which we still have services at; while creating and maintaining new goals. So far, we have been satisfied with the two SLPs we've had render services. Note that every therapist is different. Find one that clicks with you, and/or your child (if pediatric services applies).

I showed up to John's practice with both runner's knee and a rotator cuff injury- and only about 5 weeks of time for PT sessions before heading out of town for an extended trip- and John was clearly committed to progressing me through recovery as quickly as my body was able to adapt so that I would be on a solid foundation for continue recovery after I was no longer able to work with him directly. Importantly, John Mittlebrun is a listener. The questions he worked through during my initial knee and rotator cuff assessments and then follow-on PT visits demonstrated that he was clearly paying attention to me, my body's incremental limits, and my body's progression through recovery. He helped me understand the balance between pushing up to the point of pain vs pushing through pain, the importance of consistency over perfection, and to trust the process even when patience is difficult. After five weeks of working with John, I'm now cautiously getting back to running and swimming; both of which are huge physical and mental achievements. His care and attention have truly set me up for sustained physical endurance to continue the sports and hobbies I care about for my physical and mental health, in addition to living each day feeling mobile, strong, and healthy. I would gladly work with John again if there was a need to do so.

Dr. Craig suggested Soft Wave therapy. I had one treatment and immediately felt better. The condition and pain hasn't returned so far. Chronic conditions may take multiple treatments, mine hasn't.

I saw Callie Hart on September 5, 2024, and she was great. Thorough and attentive. I have been…read morestruggling with attacks of nausea and vomiting that had increased in frequency to weekly attacks. We made a plan to start with a HIDA scan and follow up with a colonoscopy and endoscopy if the scan showed nothing. When I hadn't heard anything from scheduling in a couple of weeks I called the hospital and they said the test order had not been sent over from DHI. The hospital was kind enough to put me on hold, call DHI and get the referral and scheduled me for the HIDA on Sept. 27. I don't know why the referral was never sent to the hospital. A week after the HIDA scan I received a call from DHI saying I needed an MRCP scan and they would get the referral to Sparrow Hospital. That was on Oct. 3. I waited for over a week and heard nothing so I called the hospital again and they said they didn't have the referral. I called DHI and after 40 minutes on hold they said they had sent the referral to Sparrow. After some confusing phone calls, they sent me a message through the Pinnacle portal, "It appear our radiology department is waiting on an authorization approval for the MRIMRCP before they can send your order to Sparrow." I wasted hours on hold and bouncing between Sparrow and DHI over this misinformation and miscommunication. I asked if we could continue the plan for the colonoscopy and endoscopy if insurance wouldn't approve the MRCP. They said they would ask Callie Hart. I responded to the portal message with the same request and got no response. I sent another portal message that my symptoms were worsening and got no response. What is the point of a patient portal if no one answers your messages? Clearly there is a serious problem with communication at this office. I will revise this review if someone will contact me with accurate information about my referral and treatment plan. I will seek another provider if this doesn't happen. ******** First thing the next day I received a call from DHI and was assured they had definitely faxed the MRCP request over to Sparrow that very day - that was last Tuesday, Oct. 15. I called Sparrow a week later on Oct. 21 since I hadn't received a call and Sparrow confirmed that no request had come from DHI for me last week on Tuesday Oct. 15 and they checked Wednesday Oct 16 and no request had come. Once again I was mislead and DHI did not do what they promised. I have asked my doctor for a referral to UM.
