With the combination of physical therapy and Dr. Mora's recommendations for changes at home, I am well on my way to recovery. Scheduling and billing are a breeze thanks to Victoria. I've been going twice a week for about 3 weeks now and I can clearly see the progress, because the first time I went there, I couldn't even get out of my car because of the tremendous pain I was feeling. Mychael was excellent, as were the others who helped with all the rehab exercises. Everyone I worked with was very friendly and knowledgeable. Mychael was great about explaining the problem and making sure I understood their treatment strategies. For one of the injuries, we hadn't met our yearly deductible, so the visits were more expensive. To make things financially easier for us, Mychael scheduled less frequent appointments and gave me extra work to do at home. When I started with Ron, I could barely lift my arm, I could not make a fist, could not bend my elbow or stretch fingers or lift my wrist (shoulder dislocation, fractured arm and Brachial Plexus injury-stretched nerves). I worked with Ron two days a week for several months and to date I have about 95% of my function restored, expecting 100% recovery. The admissions process was easy, smooth and very informative. The hospital is beautiful, welcoming and clean, with all private rooms and bathrooms. Her doctor was patient and kind, and broke everything down in words and terms for her to understand. The nurses and supporting staff were very attentive to the details of her care. The therapist were very knowledgeable and educated her to be prepared for her discharge home alone. According to my MIL, the food was great! And they made sure to give her "tasty" food that fit her diet needs. I was able to speak with her case manager directly with any questions and concerns throughout her stay. She was given resources so to help her succeed upon discharge home. I did entrust Encompass Health Inpatient Rehab Hospital with my loved one and am so thankful and grateful that I did!

Surgery has been scheduled for 1/6/23, & I was told by my doctor to pick a PT from a 2-page list of recommendations. Since 12/19 I have called Rita every 2-3 days, leaving a message each time that I wanted to schedule a new patient visit for 1/9/23. I STILL have not received a return call, and have obviously not been able to schedule an appointment. I called 3 other therapists today and each one actually answered the dang phone! Was able to book an appointment at each place. Riata, you messed up! Do you not need new patients? I am SO sick of the laziness & incompetence I see in so many businesses these days.

The building is run down--peeling paint, holes in the walls, missing electrical faceplates, loose outlets, and damaged furniture. It looked neglected and unsafe. The staff was not attentive to our loved one's needs. One night he waited an hour for help to use the restroom. No one at the facility would answer the phone when we tried to call. I only reached someone because I had the Executive Director's cell number. Communication is almost nonexistent. They do not answer calls, rarely respond to emails, and repeatedly failed to provide basic information we requested. Even the external hospice staff caring for him was ignored. We also have serious concerns about the quality of medical care he received. While he was there, he had a ulcer on his foot that the staff repeatedly told us was "getting better." He is now in the hospital with a bone infection (Osteomyelitis) that required surgery. The surgeon told us there was a great chance he could lose his foot, but fortunately they were able to save it. This raises real questions about how closely the medical staff at Westpark were monitoring him--or if they were monitoring him at all. This facility failed our family, and I would never recommend it to anyone.
