They helped me choose a proper width band (white gold) and discussed the setting options. I received the finished product about 2 weeks later and it's beautiful! I'm so happy that I can finally wear this beautiful gem around every day. Also, the store itself is clean and easy to browse around. They even have a bit of costume jewlery available for sell. Most people know when you weigh using the pennyweight method you will get a lower price. The man there gave me a quote for $250.00. I knew this gold was worth more than that and I said no. Then he asked me how much do you want for it? I said I didn't know because I wasn't sure of it's true value and so I left. While I was in Cash for Gold I had I felt things were shady there, not that there were any wrong doing going on, just my opinion. I never felt comfortable. On 17-June-2023 I went to the Gold and Diamond Source just to get a quote on my all my gold jewerly. I thought the Gold and Diamond Souce, were they really going to give me a fair deal. She weighed the gold measuring in grams and I left there with a deal of $888.00. Then I drove over the bridge to Tampa to Auther Yates. The nice lady weighed my gold and she weighed using the penny weight method. Again the pennyweight method. She quoted me $690.00. I went back to the Gold and Diamond source and went to the same person. She reweighed my gold jewelry again and the weight was just slightly more than the first time we came in. We both don't know what really happened but I end up with $910.00 for my gold, $22.00 more. What I do know is that I made $220.00 more at the Gold and Diamond Souce than Auther Yates and $660.00 more than Cash for Gold. My suggestion is go to the Gold and Diamond Source. A very nice employee greeted us and let us know it would only be a short wait, which was no issue. When the owner came over, he looked at the coins thought they were fake because of how great of a condition they were in, calculated the value, and offered $900 in total. When I questioned the offer, I was told something along the lines of "if you don't like it, you can leave" and was told to "sell them yourself." I understand a business needs to make a profit, but the offer felt extremely low compared to current market values. Comparable listings were around $2,000 each, with recent sold prices around $1,400-$1,600 each. I wasn't expecting full retail, but I was hoping for a fair offer. I had already received another offer of $1,150 elsewhere, and I felt the way the situation was handled was dismissive and disrespectful. I appreciate businesses needing room to resell items, but customer service and a reasonable explanation go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like my business wasn't valued.

My son recently sold part of his collection there and he was very happy with the offer he received. Zach is really great to deal with very honest and he knows his stuff. I don't just come to Arnold's for Pokémon. I've sold scrap gold there before too. I like that they show the live scrap gold price in their website so you know what to expect. They're one of the best family-owned jewelers I've been to. I also want to give a special thank you to Zach for the kindness and patience he showed my autistic daughter when she came in to sell/buy Pokémon cards. Customer service!…read more I've had pleasant experiences before here so I'm giving two stars. Today I went in to buy a chain and a gold bracelet and had a terrible experience. A disheveled young girl was assisting and had a nasty attitude. I asked for pricing and she gave me a higher price than the previous day. I said no thank you, I'll come back another day. She called for some young guy to ask about prices and he gave an even higher number per gram, showing inconsistent prices based on the employee you ask. My mother asked how the diamonds work and the young woman said I'm not getting into that because he just denied me. So I said "you can't answer her question because I didn't buy from you? What's your problem, what are you giving attitude for? She responded are you serious right now and then asked to get some boy out who came from behind the counter, not to de- escalate or actually give some customer service but to ask us to leave. He's apparently the owners son and couldn't provide any service or consistent pricing. If you see an older white gentleman or an older guy with jet black hair, buy. If you see children who look like they have trouble speaking to people, leave! Very disappointed considering I was going to spend 2500 on a silver chain and a gold bracelet. Wish I bought it yesterday but now I doubt I would be back again. Lost a repeat customer today.
