Two weeks ago I went to get something taken care of on my right thigh. I followed instructions,…read morekept it covered for 7; days, change bandage every 24 hours after shower, keep putting on Vaseline or Aquaphor. Also was told that the stitches would come off on their own. HA! After the 7 days, I noticed a bright redness around the stitches, at first didn't think too much about it given the fact that it was just a week old. Well 15 days later it's still bright red, it at times itches. I got worried and called the office twice last Friday at 8 am and 11 am and left messages. No call backs. On Sunday I went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist told me that it looked infected and that I have to call the dermatologist to get a antibiotics. Yesterday I called again spoke to two nurses, one who gave me the biopsy results and the other one who told me that she'd let the dr know and that he'd send the script to my pharmacy after lunch. Lol! As of 3 pm yesterday, the pharmacy never received anything from him. So this morning I went to the office to complain. And was told that the dr did get my message in the morning but didn't get around to sending it before he left! Knowing that the incision could be infected! I bitched and said that that was very unprofessional and rude. I did finally get my antibiotics but it would've been better if I had gotten it on Friday if they would have the decency to return my calls. He was only a PA but still. Not happy at all.
